Detailed Reviews
As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I like to stay in different properties across the Hilton portfolio. On a recent trip to the Philadelphia area, I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Pennbrook train station and its ~ hour ride from and to 30th Street Station.
As always, I checked in digitally the day before arrival and chose a room. Knowing I was arriving by train, and how close the train station and tracks are to the hotel, I chose a room facing a different direction from the tracks. Thus no train noise ever would bother me. Just as I heard the train horns while aboard said SEPTA trains, I did not complain about them, as they were expected.
Upon arrival, I had not received a Digital Key to access my room, which meant I did have to visit the front desk. Despite having indicated my arrival at the earliest check-in time, my room was not yet ready. However I was accommodated in a similar room down the hall on the same side of the hotel NOT facing the train tracks. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.
The hotel appeared to have been either new or recently renovated, and it was quick cool on a hot August day. The elevator was awkward and slow. Instead of 2 or more elevators adjacent to one another, they were in separate parts of the building and seemed to take forever to get to and from the 6th floor.
The suite was surely amply sized for my needs, plenty of space to spread out. WiFi, and climate control worked fine. TV was OK, but one of the two remotes was not working properly so I had to carry the one working remote between the two rooms. Bathroom had enough counter space to put down my toiletries.
My biggest problem was a smoke detector that for some reason had a flashing light on it that lit up the room. Once the lights were out for sleeping, this thing was flashing at an inconsistent pattern, so bright that I could detect it with my eyes closed. Not conducive for sleeping!!
Overall, with all the hotels available and close to transit in the area, I likely won't stay here again. Despite what appeared to be recent renovations, much work is still needed to bring this up to the standards one expects.

I highly recommend. I was in town for one night for a funeral. I got a great rate. Kitchenette with microwave, sink, stove, fridge, plates, silverware. Microwave came in handy to heat Chinese takeout. Plenty of restaurants within driving distance. I got a suite, which came with full couch and desk. Plus decent-size closet. Plenty of free parking on Friday night. 5-minute walk to Pennbrook Station, an hour train ride from Philadelphia. If you're going to Philly you won't have to find parking at a SEPTA station. But trains are often once per hour. Breakfast was above average with the good tater tots but eggs and omelettes are mediocre. They also had the usual hotel waffle machine, bagels, bread, small muffins, yogurt, cereal. Due to fire risk, you're not allowed to use the toaster. You have to ask staff to toast your bread or bagel for you. They did give free Nutri-grain bars which came in handy after checkout. Elevator is a tad slow but I've seen slower, TV is awkwardly positioned in the room sideways to couch and bed and avoid sitting near the sliding front doors while eating breakfast as cold air will come in but these are far from deal breakers. Free WiFi worked well. Clean and comfortable suite. I never waited at front desk for service. Attentive staff. Decent hot shower pressure. This is the great experience you would expect from a Hilton property.

My husband and I stayed there for 1 night, but were forced to extend our stay by 1 day, which was not our choice. On first night, I had to call the front desk because our smoke detector light was flashing constantly. I was told they were having issues with a few of them and it was nothing to worry about. Also, the air conditioner was so loud that it was like standing near an airplane engine!
The second day we came back to our room exactly as we left it. The front desk told us we had to request our room to be cleaned. We needed towels, but there was no one to bring them up, so we had to go to front desk to get them.
Upon checking out, I told the front desk about our room not being cleaned. The response was that it's Hilton's policy to only clean when requested! Come on Hilton, $200 a night and towels and cleaning have to be requested?!? Won't stay here again!

The staff at this hotel doesn't know the difference between up, down, left or right. Hilton clearly did not train this staff properly or the staff just doesn't care. It was nothing but issues from start to finish and out of the four concierge staff we dealt with, not a single one made any of our issues better, only worse. They were routinely rude, making faces at each other while dealing with guests and routinely on their phone, seemingly complaining to each other about guests. We booked blocks for our wedding and were told to cancel the unused rooms or we would be charged. So we did. Then we had our wedding guests show up and no rooms were available because they had cancelled all rooms on our block. They admitted to never putting in any of our guests into the computer. Rooms were dirty with stains everywhere. The entire building smelled bad and felt incredibly outdated. The elevator was shoddy and slow. I wouldn’t stay here unless you want to be treated poorly and feel like wondering if the brown stains on the curtain is poop from the last guest. I will personally be avoiding all Hilton properties after this experience.

On the positive, the staff is excellent and although an older property, it is maintained decently. The elevator closest to the lobby would be in the mix for world's slowest. Around the corner in the back is a much faster one that obviously has been updated. It is worth the extra steps to reach it.
So, are you a "light sleeper." The staff says light sleepers don't like the rooms situated closest to the adjacent train with a frequent and obnoxious train whistle that blasts through night. Once passenger trains sleep, there are still freight trains, a la 2 a.m.
We switched the second night to a quieter room. It still was not exactly quiet. Keep the fan running, or stay elsewhere. Unless of course you sleep through everything. The train sound would be okay but for the persistent really annoying horn.

Terrible customer service! Booked the hotel with advanced purchase on Hilton.com and have called three times to get an itemized receipt for my business expenses. They are refusing to provide me receipt, saying I booked it through a third party, saying it is against their policy. Every other Hilton property that I have stayed at provides an itemized receipt when booking advanced purchase. I am a Diamond Status member with 51 stays year to date since the beginning of May this year

We had 2 king suites for overnight for a wedding nearby. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly. One room had a problem with the air conditioning and the staff immediately gave us a new room and allowed us to check in after we returned from the wedding. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety and the 2 men working the breakfast were hustling and assisting people with the toaster. They never once seemed frustrated by any of it. We will definitely stay again if in the area. Great value for the price.

We went for a day away for fathers Day loved everything about this place will be returning soon. The staff was nice the facility was clean outside and inside our children enjoyed themselves in the pool and at basketball court we had a bbq in the grilling area. Didn’t like that it wasn’t cleaned after the last person used it but over all we will return again.

Let me start by saying that the hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. I have stayed at several Hilton hotels, including Homewood Suites and I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Therefore the pool, patio and lobby are closed to people gathering and it’s completely understandable.
This hotels condition on the other hand is not representative of the Hilton Brand standards. The carpet in the hallways and in our room was starting to buckle and come loose in several areas, especially the lobby area. There were also several stains on the carpet. Several floors smelled of stale cigarettes/marijuana.
The room was clean however the sofa and accent chair in our room, appeared shabby and worn. Having a kitchenette is always a plus but our food froze despite being at the recommenced setting.
If you are a light sleeper, the commuter trains whistle, which runs right along the driveway and parking lot, may wake you.
Hilton should really look at requiring this hotel to be updated soon!
