I was looking for a family friendly hotel and this was not it. There's no elevators, and our room was on the second floor, so that means you have to go back and leave your stroller in the car, unless you want to lug that, your bags/luggages, and kids up a flight of stairs. It's a motel, the only thing that is nice is the main building to check in. What's that quote? "Can't put lipstick on a pig"? It's a motel, it isnt clean, we saw so many bugs coming out the sink and shower. The USB plugs does not work, there were spider webs by the doors. It's more crowded than other hotels no matter what time of day, esp the pools. It seems like families who stay here dont leave the premises and stay at the hotel the entire time so it makes it packed. Only good thing is that its a walk to dutch wonderland, and you get discounted ticket price and early access to Dutch.

Best tip: if you don’t have to plan too far in advance try the discount sites the day before or of your arrival as our per night charge went down By over $40 (we didn’t get it back but just realized after the fact) For an 8 yr old and 10 yr old the place was fine and kept them well entertained. The outdoor pool was a highlight and they enjoyed the room and cartoons at night and at meals. It made the Land of Make Believe worthwhile for $20 a day. The room was clean, but a bit dirty in that it wasn’t really a thorough cleaning. The staff can be a bit off, offering drinks with kids meals and then telling us it’s not included when the bill comes. VR for two at $12 was a fair price but too expensive for only 5 minutes when no one is around. For heaven’s sake, make it worthwhile for those things that don’t cost you more management! We’d come again but not at close to $300 a night which is the same you pay for the water parks in the poconos inclusive of those parks. Cobwebs behind doors included in the pic.

There are a lot of cool things: the bunk beds have personal TV screens, the play area is a nice touch, the outdoor pool and splash pad is nice. Cool theming. The (few) staff are nice and try to be helpful. But the price you pay is not worth it. They are severely understaffed. Anything could be closed at any given moment due to lack of staff, from the cafeteria to the pool to the Cafe. Rooms are not cleaned daily so the garbage piles up. Piles and piles of garbage along the walkway where people empty their garbage into the outdoor cans. Lots of bugs. Squished bugs were all over the bathroom walls. Never given new towels or refresh the coffee pods/sugar. Would I go here again? Maybe. Theres a lot of work to be done on the place. But unless you have a MAJOR cartoon network fan, or get a big discount, I probably wouldn't spend the $.

Billed as a kid friendly place. Not really. The sink in the room was very tall. No step stool. The cube ottoman is on wheels. Very difficult for short children tho stand on to wash and brush teeth. Check in is pleasant enough. However the cafe and restaurant and poolside snack bar have terrible hours. We never ate there. Room was dirty. Visible cobwebs that my granddaughter decided were spiders. A kid friendly place but i had to pay extra for a room with a bath tub. The stopper barely worked. Not to mention i had to clean the tub of hairs and stains. Good thing i bought cleaners with me. Then i noticed the urine stains all around the toilet. I called the desk to report the room had No towels. She stated they would be brought ASAP. No problem as we were going to the pool. After 2 hours at the pool still no towels. Went to front desk was told laundry was working on it? Took face towel sized ones from poolside. Our wet swimsuits had no where to hang dry. I would have thought a retractable clothes line over the tub would be common sense. It took until 2nd day to get towels! I would never go back or recommend this place. In fact told friends to keep going to Family Inn and Suites in Bird in Hand. At least its clean.

We took our 4 year old granddaughter to Dutch Wonderland and thought the Cartoon Network Hotel would be fun for her and it was close. I was not expecting the room to be in a two floor, outside entrance motor lodge. The website photos and descriptions kind of left that out! It also seemed to me to be a bit dated, with no chairs in the room, small uncomfortable pillows, and dead USB ports. Glad I always travel with chargers. The food selection in the Cartoon Kitchen was "very very" limited and overpriced. Staff seemed untrained or at least the ones I talked too did not appear knowledgeable about the hotel when I asked questions. The decor was whimsical and fun for kids but overall I don't think the price of the motor lodge-like room was worth almost $300 plus mediocre high priced food.

We stayed overnight for a wedding celebration and had a spectacular experience. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We loved staying in the colorfully decorated hotel room and it was quite comfortable too! The giant bean bag was a plus, as well as a TV in each of the bunk beds! We had a great time sitting pool side and it was a joy to meet all of the characters.

Okay. This is supposedly a family-oriented Hotel. You cannot get a porta-crib for your room. If you have small children, they only have showers. When I pulled down my sheets , there was a Kotex pad in the sheets. When they came to bring new sheets he asked me if I wanted to make the bed. Further, there are barely any outlets for your electronics. This is a cashless hotel next to a cashless amusement park, Dutch Wonderland, but they don't sell gift cards in the gift shop. They only take quarters in the laundry room but the hotel desk will not exchange quarters for you. When you ask any staff member, any question, they don't know the answer. I complained about the refrigerators in both my rooms that were not cold, they had heard this complaint before, but haven't done anything about it. They are calling this a hotel, but it is no more than a glorified motor inn. To top it off, I paid more than $1,300 for two rooms for two rnights for this mess. There are more issues here, but I am too tired to list them all. This is a huge disappointment for one leg of my family trip. I would never, ever, recommend this place.

My kids were so excited to visit, and most features did live up to expectations. We got a suite and it was fantastic, lots of space to run around, huge TV, separate bedroom for a bit of quiet. But if you want a certain theme, book early. I really wanted the Steven Universe room and we booked about two months ahead of time but did not get it (got Ben 10 instead, which was still cool). The art and decor has great attention to detail. The arcade is small, but good prices and good prize pay-out. The food in the restaurant was fun and tasty (Together Breakfast!). We got to meet several characters in the lobby. They were clearly short-staffed, but staff were friendly and helpful. The only major downside was the indoor pool. Sorry, but it was gross. Like, giant boogers and hairballs floating by me, the water was cloudy. Eww. Maybe the outdoor pool would be better when it opens, and they also have a splash pad in the summer.

It’s not nearly as clean as I was hoping for. Dead bug in tub and an oddly calcified drain, stained love sac (gag), black walls are a chic- but I can see all sorts of stains/oils on there, dust o’plenty on the lights and hairs on the sheets. Stylistically it’s aces, but when we arrived we learned that that the kitchen is closed every night we are here and the cafe is closed by noon to boot.

Overall, it's OK. It wasn't my taste, but it's OK. It's a motel. As far as motels go, the room was clean and comfortable and seemed safe, and was centrally located. However, the rates were more than we paid the same week for a highly rated hotel in downtown Philadelphia, so I expected something special that would justify the price. That was my mistake, there was nothing. However, my kids did enjoy the novelty of having bunk beds and their own TVs. The staff were adequate but the most unprofessional looking and acting hospitality staff I've ever seen. I don't know if that's because the "great resignation" has resulted in fewer people applying for the jobs or just unusual management choices, but I wasn't impressed. If you're looking for non-traditional and non-comformist property, and you don't care about conventional professional behavior like not staring at your phone or eating take-out in public areas when you're on-duty, you'll like this place. If that's not your thing, go with a more traditional property.
