#13 of 44 in Lancaster
If our 19th century brick walls and wood ceilings could talk, they would speak a familiar narrative. Enterprise & industry. American vision. An honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. The buildings that make up Cork Factory Hotel once housed the historic Armstrong Cork and Kerr Glass companies. Today, we attempt to preserve and honor the history of the buildings in an honest, authentic, and welcoming manner.

"Amazing Historical Architecture Outside." Well travelled as I am, I seek out unique places. The Urban Place complex repurposed an old factory into an office, housing, and hotel complex. A part of the Historic Inns of America, this place looked ideal for me... away from the big chains where every hotel location has the same decor. The exterior architecture is outstanding. I love the brickwork and big chimney. The outdoor seating area has the a nice artwork display. The lobby is warm and welcoming. Sadly, the rooms are mediocrity at their best. I was truly disappointed by the spartan decor. The room simply had ONE picture on the wall...just one! The desk chair was plain. For the money, I expected a lot more in terms of interior decor. Furthermore, while this a restaurant for evening dining, there is nothing available for breakfast... Even most low end chain offer some form of breakfast. In summary, this place is probably great for ballroom events and lots of guests who are focused on partying and less on decor. However, for a world traveller in like myself, the spartan room decor says MEDIOCRITY.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Cork Factory Hotel. The place has a great vibe, large rooms, comfortable beds, thirsty towels, great showers, very nice toiletries, a wonderful restaurant, a young friendly staff and all in walking distance to the downtown area. Its an industrial vibe (factory should clue you in) but very cool! I'd stay here again!

Beautifully restored hotel from a former cork, cap and glass factory. Exposed brick and beams with vaulted ceilings make spacious room and bathroom airy and comfortable. Building and area history and fireplace in the lobby are welcoming and delightful. Some observations: 1 - Limited services. No coffee maker in the rooms no breakfast or food available (Cork and Cap Restaurant) until 3 pm and it closes at 9:30 pm 2 - While centrally located between Amish Country and the historic City of Lancaster, there are few services available other than Quip's British Pub across the street and Frisco's Peruvian Chicken on the other side of the Science Museum--which is right next door. Must have your own transportation to visit if you stay. 3 - One spacious but singular elevator requires planning time to come and go. Works if you use the stairs for exercise. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting and would stay again by planning ahead.

We were there as a group for a wedding in the Lancaster area. The rooms were very nice with a lot of character, The rooms were quite large which was nice for getting ready. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. There was no microwave in the room and we needed to warm food for a baby. The staff helped us out with heating up the food.
