As a loyal Hilton customer, I would put the Tru brand toward the bottom of their offerings. Cheap construction makes for quickly deteriorating hotel. For this stay gym was dirty, breakfast barely average, dirty room floor. 2nd visit to a Tru….same feeling both times

CLEAN and UPDATED hotel! One of the few hotels that actually allows self-serve complimentary breakfast. All of the staff was great especially DAVID. He was very friendly and always willing to help. The location is perfect with various restaurants within walking distance. Will return for sure.

I am an all in Hilton brand customer. I'm a Diamond Honors member. I've stayed in every type of Hilton brand hotel. But the Tru brand just doesn't seem to fit. No drawers in any room. Open rack for hanging clothes so no closet. A simple 12-inch rail shelf and a rolling desk with one chair in the room. So, with four guests in a room you must share one chair. There is more shelf space in the bathroom for towels then your own clothes. We passed on the breakfast as it was bare minimum. Although they offered 24 hr coffee, it sure wasn’t 24hr hot coffee. The cable service was sporadic at best. Certain channels worked all the time, some not as much. Housekeeping was non-existent. They were there but never cleaned our room. We followed the guidelines and requested housekeeping every night before and we stayed four nights without one room cleaning. And every time the front desk just wrote down our request on a sticky note. I even ask them to put it in their system on the third attempt and another person, (whom I assume was housekeeping) said it would get done. Never did. So, we acquired our own towels from the front desk and put out our own trash throughout. Because we used the app to assign our room and get our digital key, the only interaction with the front desk was for when we needed something. Never did they remotely realize I was a diamond member so for those who are Hilton Honor members, your membership rank and ‘perks’ is irrelevant here. The lobby is true millennial open floor concept. Breakfast, front desk, pantry, seating and game area are all in one space. Only during breakfast did the area get crowded. The weight room was small however I didn't see anyone use it. Indoor pool. When we returned from our New Year’s Eve event around 1:30 am, we found the front desk person lounging in one of the seating area’s as if he was home on his own sofa. As for Covid mandates, there weren’t any. Maybe because it was Pennsylvania thing but no one except us wore masks. I think I’ll keep my minimum Hilton standards to the Hampton Inn brand. At least they do housekeeping.

We stayed for New Year’s Eve and had an incredible experience with the hotel. It was clean and spacious, it was also very accommodating for disabilities including roll in showers and shower seats! The location is perfect being in walking distance to shopping and dining as well as being close to the rolling hills and fields of Pennsylvania!

We stayed here for two nights on December 23 with just a party of two. We picked the room on the App prior to arrival on the top floor (5th). Overall, we were rather disappointed, mainly due to the cleanliness of our room. First, the positive. This property lives up to the Tru by Hilton brand. They are smaller and smart rooms that are smaller on space but big on value. The lobby is bright and clean with places to hang out and a good continental breakfast. We did not use the pool or fitness center, so I cannot comment on that. Although we did not interact with the front desk that much, they seemed friendly -- except one night we walked into the lobby and there was one employee just curled up in one of the pods, with no intention of getting out or greeting us. The room....oh my. The good news is that the bed and linens were clean! The bathroom needed a lot of work. First of all, there were toenail clippings all over the bathroom floor when we arrived. So, clearly that floor was not cleaned at all. They also need to do standard maintenance cleaning in these bathrooms. The corners of certain areas of the shower were turning orange and the corners of the floor in the bathroom looked like they had decades of dust and dirt just baked into the corners of the bathroom. All the would have to do is maybe four times a year concentrate on really getting into the corners of the rooms to avoid this. It is down right disgusting. There is also a large, what appears to be a bleach stain, in the back parking lot -- that looks like the outline of a dead body. I'm guessing it wasn't; however, it is weird looking out at that. This has the potential to be a great property. I'm not saying anything too bad about the housekeeping; however, there needs to be someone that oversees the cleaning to make sure it is done properly. It can't be that difficult.
