While the resort's rooms boast unique amenities such as private pools and saunas, reviewers frequently suggest that both the rooms and general amenities could benefit from modernization and better upkeep. This place has been on my buckets list for years. I was so excited to finally get to experience the resort but I don't think I would return. Staff was friendly but this place needs major improvements. We got a great laugh when we checked into our room. It was complete with the mirrors, round bed, star lights, fireplace and the heart shaped jacuzzi tub. I would've loved the champagne tower room but it was double the cost. Everything looked to be original and not cleaned well especially the vents which were caked in thick dust. The bed was very soft and you had no choice but to cuddle in the middle since it caved in. The jacuzzi had hair and brown filth in the jets and I scrubbed it myself before using. I kept my socks on in the room and they were nasty from walking on the floors. The cost includes breakfast but dinner is available for $80 a couple per night which we thankfully declined. We had breakfast the first morning and opted to eat at the Quick Mart down the street the rest of our stay. The pastries were okay but the food is better at a Holiday Inn continental breakfast. We ate at Spooners, the bar on site the first night. It was very empty and we ordered a pretzel with cheese and a Rueben which took forever to get. The pretzel was not good and the cheese was disgusting, the Rueben was okay but made with the cheapest ham possible. We did not eat anything else and opted to go to a few places in the area which were fantastic. There were plenty of activities on site which we partook in. The pool tables were torn up but still usable, the arcade required purchase, the indoor golf was a laugh, the duckpin bowling lanes were nice, the archery was fun, the golf driving range was okay but you only get 15 balls which doesn't last but a few minutes. The hot tubs were shut down, the outdoor pools were kept warm but needed to be cleaned, I found a net and was scooping out the stuff myself. The marina was lovely, we went paddleboarding and took a pontoon boat ride (highlight of the entire place). They offered pictures at the Marina which when you go to pick them up you learn you have to buy them. During the week there isn't much for entertainment but Friday it livens up. We played some games and won a cute medal, they had a dj which was fun but not many people were interested in, they also had 2 comics which we really enjoyed. I can say I checked this place off from the bucket list and it provided many laughs and memories (due to it being dated and very original). I'm sure in it day it was the place to be but now, I don't see it having a future without a HUGE overhaul starting with the rooms.

Hi, my stay was good, besides it being my lady's birthday 10/6, I ordered a bunch of additions that were supposed to be in the room when we arrived, I even called 2 hours ahead of time to make sure that everything would be in the room. but, when we arrived on location and enter the room her birthday cake was missing and when I called about on my cell phone because the room phone didn't work, they still delivered it the next day which was pointless because her birthday was over. I felt like I paid enough for that entire suite for a weekend for everything to be there. In addition to the cake missing on arrival, the champagne wasn't on ice!. the champagne was sitting in the champagne holder with no ice so we drank room temperature champagne on her birthday because calling for someone to deliver ice at 10:30/ 11:00pm at night probably would have been the next day and we were both exhausted. But besides that the environment was good the diner had very good food the live entertainment and comedy shows were pretty good, we had no complaints on those events. And also, shout out to our waiter (Milan) he was excellent.💪😎PS, I hope someone reads this review and try to correct the errors thank you!.

The great… we purchased the Suite Seduction package, if you are first-timers and/or celebrating a special occasion, I highly recommend it!! Our room was beautifully decorated….the candles, rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries, robes, flame log…just perfect! Feeding the deer out of your hand is the sweetest! We had 2 squirrels who hung out by our room, they literally made our day, everyday! The couples massage was beyond relaxing!! Being able to walk everywhere was a huge positive… I wish more people would take advantage of it! The room was CLEAN!! There are no words to express how much that means to us!! The water temperature in our pool…perfect! The resort offers so many different activities and we can’t wait to take advantage of more!

The good… all the room has to offer! We booked the champagne tower and will certainly do so next time we stay!
The alcoholic drinks are good, not great but satisfying! The breakfast buffet was good, we certainly enjoyed it. The evening meals aren’t bad. We enjoyed watching the couples games and having a few adult beverages just getting some good laughs.

The not so good… the rooms need updated. The pool especially, it’s worn, we used it, enjoyed it, I just wouldn’t recommend to folks I know are looking for a “fancy” resort. The steps going in to pool are beyond narrow and the pool light didn’t work.
When eating breakfast on Sunday, we booked 10:30 and instead of the young lady saying “we normally don’t remain open this late” she worded it “We are closed by 10:00 and don’t have many tables clean.” Insinuating the long line out the door all booked for 10 and just happened to show up for 10:30. Also, order 2-3 drinks at breakfast and supper time! They are attentive before you receive food but the minute your supper arrives, your service is none! We tipped well each meal but really, how hard is it to see if people need extra drinks?! The worst was our last breakfast…we never received creamer so we took off another table that the people left. My water never showed up, and we didn’t even get drinks until I was literally done with my food! When eating at spooners, there is 1 cook and 1 waitress/bartender….they do their job the best they can but it’s definitely a long wait for service!

A huge shoutout to the cleaning lady whom everyday made sure we had what we needed and if we didn’t have it, she brought it! She always said good morning, so friendly and kind.

We started in room 719 and discovered that there was no hot water running through the shower, sink or champagne tub. We called several times to the main lobby to have the problem addressed. No action was taken. The next day we reported the problem again and we were told that the hot water system was not working in room 719. We were then transferred to room 726. When we checked for hot water in the shower, it did not work. A call was made for maintenance service. A maintenance technician arrived and discovered that the hot and cold water connections were improperly installed for the shower. Room 726 did not have a fire log and the remote control device downstairs did not operate the television in that location. The champagne tub did not have bubble bath solution for use with the tub. We had to use the remote control from upstairs for both the downstairs and upstairs tv. We did not have an opportunity to use the fireplace. We did not have opportunity to have a bubble bath.

A surprise birthday weekend away for my wife. I chose the large Garden of Eden room. This room was renovated recently so it was in good shape. The room also has a pool, heart shaped tub, fireplace and saunaroom. The main bedroom was in great shape. Pool area needs some work, but was still our favorite area! Bars in the resort were nice and drinks, priced fairly. We have breakfast only. It was a buffet that had a good choice for all. Eggs, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage and fruits etc... There were events going on at the resort, we were out and about at the winery or in our pool! See the pictures. Our room was well worth the extra money especially if you bring your own drinks and snacks because you can spend the day in and not get bored. A large amount of deer that will eat out of your hands, bring some apples or see the gift shop for food. Enjoy your stay, we did!!

We had a great time here! We stayed in a champagne tower room and upon entering the room was clean but the whole place is very out of date much like the rest of the poconos
A little attention to detail would go a long way the back of every door had black finger prints and marks on them just not paying attention to detail as they clean!
We will go back but we will never done there again it wa awesome that the food was included in the package that we bought but upon leaving the restaurant we were astounded when we were told we we’re not allowed to take any of the leftovers home with us. I understand not being able to take anything from the salad bar home but the entrées…..that is a sheer waste of food! Well, my husband and I got the prime rib. It was amazing but we do not eat that much so there was basically a whole prime rib dinner that was gone to the trash! Until that policy has changed, we will never dine there again!

Pa we lived to feed the dear

The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the Tom Petty tribute band "Being Petty". If I were the owner, I would open the show to the community outside of the resort and charge a cover but allow the resort guests to enter for free as a perk of being a resort guest. The updated bathroom shower was nice but the water was only lukewarm. There was some confusion about tipping. We paid for drinks in cash & left our tips in cash because we were not sure if tips were allowed since the meals were part of the all inclusive package. When we checked out, we were charged again for the drinks. I would suggest that the resort clearly state if tips are allowed and provide a suggested tip amount since there were no prices on the menu or at the breakfast buffet. Then I would allow the customer to choose on the bill if they were paying cash, paying with a credit card, or charging it to their room so that it is clear to everyone how they are paying. We had a great time at Spooners playing duckpin bowling. I would install more TV's in that area and make it more of a sports bar.

From the time I booked with Connie it was an excellent experience. She was very patient as I asked a million questions. We stayed in the Garden of Eden room and it was perfect. I had read reviews that were negative. The room was well taken care of and clean. We loved the heart shaped hot tub and the in room pool was the perfect size to just relax as well as the sauna. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The restaurants and entertainment were all within a 5 minute walk. We didn't opt for daily housekeeping but anytime we needed something it was provided very quickly. Brian at the front desk was helpful and we enjoyed the gift bag. The food at the main restaurant and Spooners was very good and well worth the food package. A good choice ever night and we never were hungry (lunch at Spooners isn't included). Nicole and Chris were the servers we had while we were there and they were friendly, attentive and funny. Please remember to tip them-we saw some people who at breakfast and dinner did not. We participated in some group games and other indoor/outdoor activities which were included-except for tokens in the arcade. We saw a Tom Petty cover band who were excellent. I had no complaints. A friendly suggestion is to maybe have a small microwave in the room in case you wanted to heat up leftovers, etc. Having the deer literally come up to your hand to be fed (food for sale in the gift shop) was awesome. We fished and caught about 8 fish (catch and release). Everyone was friendly and it seems the staff move around and work in different areas and they remember you. I was apprehensive because of some of the reviews that I read as I did research but I can tell you everything looked clean and maybe some of the decor was a little outdated in the restaurant but it is what gives the resort character and all the public places were decorated for Halloween and fall. We would go back in a minute.

We went to CH for our 33rd anniversary and had a wonderful time. However, there is plenty room for improvement . There were no Gold Forever Lovers Pins or Check in Gifts! Then there were No Robes for sale… This is just a management issue but we look forward to these little things! The main Jacuzzi is still without water after months of watching that they need a part online, it was disappointing that the summer is almost done and the jacuzzi sits without water. The grounds were sloppy, cigarette butts line the area we park at n front of the lobby and most of the other buildings had garbage around as well. The room was clean and wonderful as always. We had to have the temp of the pool turned up because it was way too cold at first, then the room was perfect. Meals were great as always. However I’d love to see some more simple dishes that picky eaters would be happy with too! All in all it was an ok trip but we have had better. But there’s definitely a need for improvement. It’s sad to see the buildings that are unused closed up just rotting away. Maybe take them down and make more space to enjoy. All in all the resort has made some improvements but there is still so much room for improvement when keeping things clean around the resort it just seems sloppy and starting to make the resort look rundown. We also noticed that there was very little help around the resort while we were there which was sad to see. We had almost 160 couples and 1 bartender at tan lines, there should be at least a person to help run for things when she ran out. Or 2 bartender’s on . It’s sad to see the lack of employees when the rooms are so expensive. We will really have to think about another trip. We were going to the resorts at least 2-3 times a year since 1998 and due to some health problems this was our 1st trip since 2021 and it’s sad to say I don’t know if we will return if things don’t improve! As Gold Forever Lovers it’s hard to say and sad to think this may have been our last trip to the resorts! Things need to get far better! We used to feel spoiled and taken care of when we left the resort. Not as of this trip. The lack of employees is taking its toll on the resort! Sad to say but at this rate idk how long the resort will last!

Cove Harbor does have windows. I never really noticed the black out curtains. I never thought it was to dark. I like both rooms equally. It's worth the upgrade if you like having a pool in your room. You can order as much food as you like. Make sure you tip your servers. Bothe rooms have a fireplace. You can bring your own logs for the fireplace but if you forget they sell them there. They are more expensive there.

They have done a good deal of renovation to many of them. They are somewhat dated but honestly that's the fun of it. Everything is clean. The staff and activities make up for it. They have updated the Juliette suites and the Cove Harbor Suites for sure. You could ask for those rooms. Also the Champagne Tower rooms are all fairly new but they are the most expensive . Hoe that helps. Enjoy yourself if you decide to go. My wife and I absolutely love it. Hrway adult getaway!!!

Please call 800-233-4141 and speak directly to a representative. You can definitely stay just one night. You just may not be able to book certain rooms that may have a minimum stay requirement. We are Forever Lover Gold Members and have been many many times since our first visit in the 1980’s. We normally stay 2 nights. Cove Haven is our favorite of the resorts. Hope this helps.

I dont think any of the rooms are "sound Proof" But you would be hard pressed to hear what's going in the rooms next to you. Also FYI We have never stayed in the fantasy suits.
