Hyatt Place Philadelphia / King Of Prussia earns praise for its prime location near attractions and shopping, with guests enjoying the pool, gym, and breakfast options. The staff's friendliness and the overall cleanliness of the hotel often receive positive remarks. However, some guests have called out maintenance issues and the lack of in-room amenities such as microwaves.
Despite mixed reviews on room quality, with mentions of odors and outdated decor, the hotel maintains a professional atmosphere. Value perceptions vary, with some travelers questioning the price-to-quality ratio.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for my daughter's birthday in order to take her to the King of Prussia mall. We had booked a double queen suite since we would be there for the whole weekend. That room was excellent, perfect, clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the toilet was broken. The front desk offered to move us into two different king rooms, which would have been fine if it wasn't just the three of us. They didn't have any connected rooms or any more double rooms due to there being several soccer teams staying in the building. (more on that later) We opted to downgrade to a king room with a sofa bed, but the room was damp and the carpet was disgusting. The bathroom had mold and We weren't comfortable with any of us sleeping on the sofa bed, so we were all three in the one bed. The hotel was housing a bunch of different youth soccer/sports teams and they clogged up the elevator several times, played games in the hallways, and didn't wear masks like requested on signs in the hotel. I was excited that my membership with World of Hyatt offered a feature that allowed me to unlock my room with just my phone, however for some reason that feature wasn't working and the app was mostly useless.

Hyatt to me has meant higher quality than Best Western, Holiday Inn, etc. This hotel was in the class of those places which traditionally pay less for. Room rates are already starting to rise but the quality of the experience is not keeping pace

Property didn't have pandemic protocol and routines as 'top of mind'. Masks in public spaces not worn properly. I needed a can opener and staff just grabbed my tuna fish can and brought it to the kitchen without putting on gloves.

I’ve stayed at numerous Hyatt’s over the years and this hotel was in the worst condition I’ve ever experienced. Filthy carpets all over the facility, torn up furniture in the room, toilet seat moved all over the place, mold in the shower, even the glass shower door was off its guide so it was just hanging and a safety hazard. Finger prints and smudges in the elevators and public rooms. Obviously, no consideration and adherence to Hyatt’s COVID cleanliness commitment. Breakfast area wasn’t clean, coffee wasn’t refreshed and plentiful, grab and go offerings were limited. Good thing I brought my own breakfast foods beforehand. I actually checked out a day earlier because I didn’t want to stay there another night. Wouldn’t recommend and think there are plenty of better hotels in the area at the same or less price. Hyatt should fix this hotel up so it can align with other Hyatt Places in other locations.

The staff was not really outgoing and friendly. Not rude but not the kind of pleasant welcome I expected. They seemed very preoccupied all the time and it felt like I was an interruption rather than a welcome guest. Also, the pool was closed the whole time. I was looking forward to using the pool but it was under construction and it did not look like anyone was working on it at the time. The breakfast food was good but they had only one person trying her best to do everything to keep it stocked and she got behind so items were missing. If she had one other person to equally share the load it would have been much better. I also am a bit disappointed that the rooms were not serviced while we were there. I was told that they no longer service the rooms during "short stays" except for fresh towels on request. There was only one small trash can in the room and I had to find a way to empty it and find a new trash bag. The front desk gave me a bag but it was a used shopping bag rather than a bag for the trash can. Service and staff attentiveness have definitely declined since my stay at Hyatt some years ago. I think you are trying too much to do more with less. The staff suffers from this and the customers suffer from this. whatever the reason, the front desk staff seemed always to be preoccupied with staring at their computer screens whether anyone else was there or not and it always took a minute or two for them to look up and greet anyone who approached the front desk.

I was made to feel at home the instant I set foot on the building. The entire staff.... everyone I encountered was professional, courteous, and had a vested interest in ensuring I had everything I needed. This is a direct reflection of the hotel management. I had the pleasure of meeting the General and Assistant General mangers both of whom were nothing short of terrific. The location is with walking distance of everything you would need to include the famous King Of Prussia Mall. and no more than 30 - 45 minutes from any of the dozens of attractions Philadelphia has to offer. If you are looking for a home away from home, whether for business or personal travel, you will find no finer place to stay than Hyatt Philadelphia/ King of Prussia.

Everything could be improved. The entire hotel was disgusting. Rat traps near the disgusting cold sandwiches that you had to microwave yourself in a filthy food spillage appliance. Our room was disgusting. Sticky stains on the floor next to beds, moldy shower curtains, dirt stained bath tub, food and snacks on floor by fridge, light fixture with no covering, and water sprinkler looked as if it had a repair and a two year old slapped some paint around it on the ceiling. Worst of all was the stench of the Marijuana up and down the hallways and elevators. Over all, disgusting!!! I have pictures to prove it. When someone is paying over $300 for two days and paying $5 for one cup-o-noodles at the front desk you would expect a classier place.
Only good out of the stay was the complimentary bottled water I received.

We stayed in several hotels while traveling for a family vacation. This was one of the best - clean, comfortable, friendly, great breakfast, great value. I booked several hotels for this trip, all within the same parameters of price, free breakfast, location to what piece of history we were visiting that day, and reviews. This hotel was great, especially when compared to a couple of others that were sketchier than expected but still with well known hotel chains. This stay was my daughter’s favorite!

Enough of using the pandemic as an excuse for poor service. Upon checking in, we were given a room that, when we entered, had luggage and toys left from someone who was still occupying the room. We were assigned another room but I had zero confidence that someone was not able to enter our room while were were not present. In addition, the new room we were assigned has various bits of trash left from the previous occupant. I understand safety, but to say that housekeeping is generally not available, the pool still closed (when all other hotels on our trip had them available and open) and the lack of interest in filling the breakfast area...is unacceptable for the quality of stay that Hyatt House/Place expects to give.
