Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Snowgoose for 3 nights during the Cannonball Festival in February and it was a great experience.
The accommodation was spacious, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well appointed with everything you can think of for preparing and enjoying meals. The balcony with BBQ has a great view of the valley.
It is centrally located literally a minutes walk from the central square. And awesome that the room had a car park as part of it.
The hosts Jane and Mark were really friendly and easy to deal with.
Looking forward to coming back!

We recently stayed here on our travels through NSW and absolutely loved the views and location of this place. Located in the heart of Thredbo, Snowgoose Apartments are just a short stroll to the Thredbo Valley Chairlift Terminal and all shops and restaurants. Our Mezzanine apartment was well set up, warm and had everything we needed. The view from our bedroom as well as the lounge area was truly amazing. We loved the idea of being offered a parking spot on the premises which is rare due to the general set up of Thredbo’s hilliness. The owner/manager was extremely helpful and informative and on his recommendation we found a few lovely restaurants and bars to visit during our stay. We loved the walks and strolls through this quaint town and would definitely recommend it at any time of year weather you like to ski, snowboard, mountain bike or just want to hike or walk and explore definitely visit this place and choose Snowgoose as your preferred place to stay.

We booked for 4 nights over summer. On arrival the Manager (Mark) was very welcoming and explained all that was required for the Loft Apartment. The location and quality of the accommodation was excellent. It is slightly back from the Village square (less noise) but literally minutes from all facilities.

+1
Brilliant in all aspects.
For our first time to Thredbo we couldn’t of been happier with our accommodation choice. The studio (1b) was thoughtfully and beautifully appointed. It has everything you need for cooking when dining in or simply walking the few metres into town for the choice of restaurants. We stayed 4 nights and Mark & Jane couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable and stress free as possible.
Views of the mountain from the verandah was an every changing sight when the storms rolled in.
We will definitely be back and will be sure to try the 1 bedroom apartment so you have a guaranteed car spot as parking in Thredbo is a real challenge meaning you could be walking up to a kilometre to get to your car.
Thank you Mark & Jane for an awesome stay.

It’s clean, perfectly situated, perfect for families, friendly staff, warm and cozy and quiet. Best thing is the lovely fire place. Stayed here to climb mount Kosciusko. Parking is a bit tricky but would recommend to stay here anytime.

Sadly just leaving Snowgoose Apartments after a short 2 night stay in their loft apartment.
Fantastic modern accommodation with everything we needed.
Great location right at the Thredbo Village.
Mark the Manager was so helpful, welcoming and friendly.
We are about to book a longer stay over the Easter period.
Must be the best accommodation in Thredbo.

Upgraded to 1 bedroom apartment. The room is excellent had everything we needed and more. Big apartment great views couldn’t have asked for much more.
Luckily had parking onsite but it is very tight and larger cars will struggle.
Would stay again when next in Thredbo

The Snowgoose Apartment we stayed at was modern, comfortable studio apartment for 2.
The location was excellent, minutes from village square, restaurants and supermarket was only a short walk. Even walking up from the lifts with snowboard and boots were manageable. (As close as it looks on the map from the info centre, we had to take the shuttle because lugging suitcases up the slope and stairs was much more difficult).
The room had basic cooking amenities, dishwasher machine, electric stove and ventilation fan above the stove was a bit weak (the whole room would smell of cooking once you heat up the simpliest food). The room had a spectacular snow view of the lifts that you'd love to wake up to every morning.
There was free wifi but it couldn't connect on multiple different devices and the signal was not usable in the rooms.
Mark was very friendly and helpful. They reply emails with a lot of helpful tips prior to arrival which was good especially for visitors like us who aren't from the country.
We've been to many snowboarding trips across the world in various countries and Snowgoose provided one of the few good accommodation environment second to our annual trips to Niseko, Japanese snow lodge properties also owned by Australians.
However, despite the good location, comfortable room and spectacular views, we left the apartments on a not so happy note.
Firstly it's rather rigid, it could be a thredbo thing, unlike other snow accommodation lodges, that booking is fixed to a certain number of days, e.g. sunday to friday. As we are flying in internationally, the number of days for booking was rather inflexible. We ended up booking from Sunday to Friday when we only arrive Monday (i.e. one night was not occupied at all and the room rates were non negotiable). I respect that the extra night is fixed and hence needs to be followed, but the check out time became very rigid and we had to check out early the last day which totally didn't match our timetables. It was inconvenient but it worked out, as Snowgoose kindly provided storage for our luggage with a place to change before our afternoon Greyhound back to the city.
However, my main concern that I would like to share. We never knew anything about hidden surcharges. By the time we left, we were charged with a surcharge for cleaning rooms. The laundry was compliementary, using their ski lockers were free of charge but no where did I read or know of a cleaning surcharged and on what basis. I thought it was an aussie thing, but asking around apparently not. I didnt want to make a fuss and nor did we mind the fine if having known to have broken rules that was previously laid out. Never have we stayed in a hotel or apartment or ski lodge with such thing especially when nothing was broken and had to be replaced. But they charged randomly about 3 hours after we checked out and returned to collect our luggage. We didn't mind having to pay a fine having broken a rule that we were informed of properly.
Never had we encountered such comment in all of the snow accommodation we stayed in around the world and it left us departing Snowgoose with this last impression of being accused poorly with a fine.
Although we paid the fine without a confrontation nor do we mind the amount, it was the feeling and the dropped comment on us before we left that made us felt a bit uncomfortable.
Don't get me wrong, I would come back to this property and recommend it based on all of its other characteristics, but greatly be aware of hidden surcharges and fines given it may not run the way hotels or other accommodations, especially when the rationale for these fines were never communicated clearly beforehand.
