28 Degrees was everything it promised to be. The premium price afforded pure luxury and attention to detail in all elements of our staff.

We were extremely lucky to be in Byron Bay when there were very few other travellers so we had the main house which included pool, kitchen and living areas completely to ourselves. There was also plenty of lavishly appointed outdoor spaces around the place to follow the morning sun from the pool area to the afternoon sun in the front courtyard with a book.

We splurged on the Luxury Master Room and were not disappointed, along with the main house spaces we also had a separate sitting room in our bedroom, a private wrap around deck and bathtub.

The staff were super friendly and attentive, they even provided us some gluten free treats especially for me from Sunday Sustainable Bakery one morning. We booked the winter special receiving a half price massage each and dinner at di Vino's.

The location is great we parked our car in the driveway and walked everywhere. 100 metres from daily coffee and fresh juices, 1 block from dinner at The Mez Club, 2 blocks from dinner at Bang Bang, 3 blocks from the beach and beachside pub.

The whole boutique space is full to the brim with impeccable style, beautiful design and opulent touches to ensure your stay is a luxuriously unique experience. We plan to return in the future with friends so we can immerse ourselves again in this dreamy stay.

We had a comfortable 2 night stay at 28 degrees , & stayed in the rather spacious “suite” room 7, on the first floor of main building. The room is tastefully furnished, with a good sized balcony with seating.
Service was friendly and helpful.
Personally I found the ground level communal areas complete with flowers and books, not so “user friendly” (poor ventilation & awkward sitting); although it looks good, & feature in their online images. For the well equipped kitchen, I would have preferred a better selection of breakfast items, which should include juices, pastries & fruits(considering the high price).
Parking at the edge of the side driveway could be better.
Overall recommended

Where to start on our experience at 28 degrees...at the beginning is probably best.

My partner had organised a week’s holiday for a special number birthday as a surprise gift in Byron.

After I ruined the surprise I started following 28 degrees on Instagram and checked the website, in all honesty, we had never really treated ourselves and I continually gave him a hard time that I could have found a “nice” place and used the extra money for experiences as I’m always one to be sensible. The no TV policy sent me into a panic.

It doesn’t happen often but I was wrong :), this whole place was an experience and one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life. I cannot fault a single thing at 28 degrees, everything screamed luxury so silently it was heaven.

From the moment Maureen greeted us with a complimentary locally acquired platter and wine to chats with Deb the owner on her vision of 28 degrees we knew we were somewhere special. So much of this place I wanted to take home from the bed to the pillows, to the linens, to the curtains, everything has been handpicked with the intention of pure comfort and luxury.

We stayed in the private plunge suite at the front of the property and could completely shut out any noise, being in such a central location. Early mornings by our pool eating the complimentary organic supplied breakfast or a 2 - 5 minute walk to the cafes & restaurants recommended in our room compendium. Everything about this place made our stay so effortless.

Our room was serviced, restocked every day & was immaculate. The only fault I could find is that we had to leave and regret we didn’t take more advantage of the bicycles we only used on our last day.

Having never been to Byron before & we loved it. We are defiantly looking forward to returning to 28 degrees as we don’t think we could experience this beautiful place any other way.

Thank you so much to Deb, Maureen & the staff for making us realise that little extra money spent showed us (well me) we are worth it.

Leesa & Allen x

We stayed at 28 Degrees for three nights for our anniversary (after having to cancel a trip to Melbourne) and took advantage of the wonderful winter special! From the very first phone call to book I knew we were going to be treated to a very special experience. Adare, Maureen and Deb were wonderful to chat with and have created a highly curated experience - they have thought of everything! We arrived and had half price massages in our room (BEST way to start a holiday) and the complimentary dinner at Divinos was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Initially I couldn’t decide between a pool room or the Luxury Master in the main house but we ended up staying in the Luxury Master with a big private balcony, a lovely soaking tub and a great walk in robe and a Maker and Son armchair each!!! We also lucked out in having the whole main house to ourselves and despite the new pool heaters warming the water to 30 degrees I was too wimpy to get in. We were lucky enough to get a tour of most of the rooms (all special and amazing in their own right) and we would love to return and experience a private pool room in the summer. I could go on and on about the impeccable design, the comfy beds, the luxurious sheets and the complimentary yummy granola, yoghurt and homemade compote for brekky. Final words - best people, impeccable service, super duper high quality, amazing location (walking and biking around Byron was great). Stop reading and start booking!!!

I was lucky to be able to book a night (last minute) as they were heavily booked out.
From the moment the lovely manager met me to take me into the premises I knew I was going to be well looked after! Beyond the gated entrance you instantly feel like you could be in the Hamptons! Walking into the designated villa I was instantly mesmerised by the gorgeous interior and furnishings alike. I was lucky that the room available that night had its own private plunge pool which was lovely to relax in after a long day!
The complimentary mini bar was an added treat with a great selection of beverages along with some locally produced Coffee and Tea not to forget breakfast for the next morning which consisted of beautiful organic yoghurt, milk and muesli and homemade compote. The bed was to die for, so big and comfortable! This has to be the cleanest places I have had the pleasure of visiting and I have been fortunate enough to have stayed at some very high end hotels. Definitely my number 1 place to stay if you are going to Byron Bay.... complete luxury and serenity!

Greeted with warmth, the Lighthouse suite is a resort style room with quality amenities and great views for a morning by the window enjoying breakfast or whilst working on the laptop. Everything from the sheets to the breakfast was organic and ethically sourced - it was a dream stay and the proprietors were very accommodating. Definitely comes recommended.

We have been twice in the last couple of months and already booked for January.
28degrees is one of its kind: 5 stars luxury hospitality in absolutely perfect Byron relaxed style.
Every detail of the property is deigned to cuddle and pamper the guests, mostly locally designed and sourced.
Though the place is indisputably beautiful, the best of it is their relentless attention to customer experience, from perfect cleaning and timings, to high quality breakfast and beds and sofas.
Special mention to the manager, Maureen, another highlight of the 28degree experience.

We had the most incredible experience at 28 Degrees, the initial greeting and meeting of the team, storing our bags while the room was being serviced. The daily servicing was the best part coming back from brunch to the room looking even more lush. The amenities being replenished everyday was an added bonus as well as trying all the local produce. We posted a few photos on our social channels and were inundated by friends loving and wanting to stay too! We also loved the use of the bikes, beach towels and umbrella, the recommendations for dinner and drinks were spot on too! Thank you again!

Where to begin with this gorgeous weekend away.

I don't normally leave reviews but this incredibly special experience is the least I can do and has left me wanting to share my appreciation for others to encounter.

From the moment I called Deb (owner) and her wonderful team at 28 Degrees, I knew I had found the right place for our special celebratory weekend away. Deb goes above and beyond, right through to booking restaurants and creating a fabulous itinerary for our stay.

Arriving made my partner and I burst into happiness, Deb and her team waiting for us at the front door to welcome us to this beautiful property. We were then guided into our room and it instantly had such an abundance of gorgeous energy. From the insanely comfortable bedding, oversized bathroom to the sublime plunge pool, it honestly felt like we were staying at a luxury home that you wouldn't have access to.

The location is unbelievable. We didn't use ride share apps once. All of Byron's best local shopping boutiques, cafes and restaurants are a (very) short walk.

Photo's do not do this property justice. The gardens, cleanliness, to nice touches like waking up to lit incense drifting through the home, also seeing how well staff are treated (like one big family) - we've really never experienced anything like this. We've stayed at some incredible hotels across the world, if only Deb had a property in each major city!

Deb made us feel like a family member (truly) and we have no doubt that we will be staying at 28 Degrees again, but next time extending the trip for at least a week and inviting our nearest and dearest to experience this overwhelming boutique hotel journey.

See you soon 28 Degrees!

Would anyone like to recommend any room type or specific room nr? The plunge pool seems amazing..
Hey Karesson, Apologies for the late reply! Our Garden Rooms are very popular as you have your own private heated plunge pool and garden area. 2 of the rooms also have private entrances.
