Just came back from our mini getaway, we stayed at Tri Byron Bay for three days. This place is superb, impecable with all the conforts necessary for a great stay, it's so peacefuland with amazing views over the valley. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel right at home. Stay here and you won't want to leave. Can't wait to go back.

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at Tri, cosy little cabin/studio set in gorgeous surrounds. The studio was really nicely presented & super clean & we received great communication from the owners prior to our stay. Tri is only a couple of minutes drive away from the Main Street of Bangalow however you could walk there and under 10 mins drive into Byron.

Great accommodation with a beautiful box of goodies and a superb countryside view!
The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had an enormous shower with great water pressure which was just what was needed after the long drive from Sydney.

This review will be as honest as possible and is not intended to condemn the owners of Tri Byron.
Firstly, the location is perfect. The view is amazing and the host very pleasant (interacted only by phone). Overall, the place was sufficient for our 7 night stay, but with some big exceptions.
To disclaim completely, we understand that our booking was over a busy holiday period and we also accept the rate we paid is typical of places around the Byron and Byron Hinterland region. We paid a little over $350/night.
With that $350 a night, we would have expected a place with AIR CONDITIONING. Being in the subtropical rainforest, it was difficult to handle nights with 90 - 100% humidity at 25º.
With the owner in charge of renovations and additions to the building, we also expected more attention to detail.
Examples:
1) Bathroom has no ventilation whatsoever. There are two windows that do not open, but are facing the hinterland hills. One of the windows is placed crookedly in the frame, leaving a tiny gap at the top and a strange look. Because of the ventilation issue, the bathroom door had to be kept open. This door is adjacent to the sliding glass door, facing the gravel car park and Bangalow Road.
2) There is nowhere to unpack clothes in the bedroom except the floor. Also, a rod has been hung by two ropes, with the intention of creating a makeshift clothing rod. This is either quirky or annoying depending on your perspective, but again, for $350 a night, I would have hoped for a dresser or a wardrobe of some kind.
3) The items in the kitchen reminded me of a bachelor pad or share house. Not many things match and most is old and worn out. Wooden spoons are very old, so who knows how they've been treated over the years. Pans and lids don't match, glasses are odd and don't match, etc. Again, expectations for a place like this are a bit higher.
One more thing that left us feeling a bit uncomfortable was the reprimanding tone of the "PLEASE READ" letter on the counter. It was demeaning in tone and made us feel like we were a burden to the owner. Phrases that threatened additional charges or limiting guests' duration (2 hours by the rules) and parking restrictions made us feel guilty of crimes we hadn't committed. We thought that better wording could have been used on ALL the notes around the house. "Don't flush this", "use the fast cycle only", "strick [sic] no smoking", etc. all seemed like commands to a child with little explanation for the meaning. We know they have a tank water system now, but why not state that as the reason for not flushing certain things or for using the dishwasher's fast cycle only? All it takes is...attention to detail to make us feel more welcome.
If you're planning a stay at Tri Byron, make sure you check before booking unit 5 and don't pay too much. Your experience may end up having a few blemishes.

Rural living with stylish interior. I had high expectation with comfort and quiet. Booked studio 2 online but being allocated in studio 3 which was the closest to the main road. Quite noisy with the traffic actually and the road was busy. The whole experience was not peaceful and quiet. Suggest if you book this accomodation avoid studio 3 at all time.

Beautiful space, clean and fresh. Peaceful with lovely views over the valley. Perfectly situated between Byron and Bangalow. Simple kitchen amenities but no need for anything more. Charming hosts who live on site but are sensitive to guests' needs.

The pool is nice but the living room have mouldy smell on arrival which didn’t go away for two days.
The house is 1/2 hour walking from town
Kitchen is well stocked with all necessities and dining table big for up to 8 people.

Modern facilities.
Floor was dirty - had to brush off our feet before hoping into bed. I wouldn't expect that from somewhere with a charge rate of $250pn.
Outlook was nice, although there were some very large trees and a number of smaller ones cut down for the sake of the view, I was sad to see this. Otherwise nice enough. I will pick somewhere different next time.

We loved our stay here. It was quiet and peaceful. No noisy neighbours or traffic. Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. continental breakfast included was a nice surprise. The only negative was the only dining table was out on the private balcony and it was a bit cold in the mornings during our stay to eat outside. But we managed with the coffee table and our laps. Will defiantly be recommending to my friends.

Really enjoyed our stay here while at Bluesfest.
We stayed in 1 of 3 units that sit beside the owners house (who is lovely!). They all have a balcony that overlooks a tree filled valley which is a great spot for your morning coffee! Room was spacious with a nice ensuite. There's a TV, tea/toast making facilities and a fridge too. Very clean and comfortable. Plus you get supplies for your first mornings breakfast (granola, fruit and coffee).
Short drive into byron and easy access to the motorway for the festival.
Would happily stay again.
