Detailed Reviews
We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Byron Cove Beach House. The location is great, we didn’t have a car and walked everyday in and out of main Byron town in around 10 minutes. It’s also close to Belongil beach, less crowded than main Byron beach. The girls serving breakfast were super lovely and friendly, we had fresh coffee and croissants everyday.
The main negatives were the housekeeping. The standard was very poor, we didn’t have our rubbish taken out for most of the stay and as a result we had plates and bottles piled up on top of the only tiny sanitary bin. On 2 days, housekeeping did not even make the bed - only dropped off fresh towels but didn’t remove the old ones. The fridge had an old milk in it from a previous stay and wasn’t restocked at all during our week despite being ‘conplimentary’. The glasses/cups we used were left dirty in our room and housekeeping didn’t remove them, and only 1 set of cutlery provided for 2 people. Toilet paper was not restocked at all and by the end of the week we had run out.
All in all, 3.5 stars. The location, room and breakfast is great but the housekeeping needs a big upgrade. Still enjoyed our stay.

Dear Hannah, We thank you for your recent stay with us. How lovely that you got to enjoy a 5 night break. We do pride ourselves on the complimentary breakfast available to all of our guests during their stay. I do apologise for the notes regarding housekeeping. This is certainly not the standard in which we wish to present our property. Daily servicing is included and you should have received this service. We have followed up with management and our cleaning teams. Feedback is very important to us so that we can consistently improve in order to provide our guests with the best standard possible. For your next stay with us please call us directly so that we can ensure we look after you with VIP treatment and extend to you our repeat customer discount. Thank You. Casey

We stayed there for 3 nights and just loved the whole experience, Denise and her partner were just lovely and accommodating in every aspect. The room was comfortable, loved using the steam room there and the pool was a great little option if you didn't want to make it to the beach. Breakfast was another highlight, beautifully cut fresh fruit and soft and fluffy croissants.. couldn't fault it and all within a short walk to the beach, Tree House and the town centre.

This is our third visit and as always everything was fantastic. This Beachhouse is ideally situated out of the main areas but within easy walking distance. It is very clean, bright and great value for money. The staff are always available and accommodating with that great laid back Byron style.
We would thoroughly recommend the Byron Cove Beach house as our first choice of accommodation here.

Stayed at Cove Quarters which was advertised as luxury but was far from it. Day 1 essential items missing and couldn't get hold of company managing property (Beach Houses of Byron) until next day.
Dishwasher was broken so had maintenance man visit twice, once had to pull dishwasher out and take back off. Cupboards in 2nd bedroom smelled of moth balls and bedroom itself was in the middle of the cottage so no windows and no ventilation when doors shut. No shower shelf for soap, shampoo etc so had to put on floor.
Property was dangerous, no lighting in pathway and near bins so nearly fell over a few times. Large Glass top fell off coffee table and they just moved it instead of fixing it so fear next people would have done same and potentially got hurt. We were very lucky it didn't fall on someone's foot. Moved foot just in time.
No BBQ tools or cleaning implements so bbq was used only once as was so hard to clean.
Kitchen range hood was filthy.
When we tried to address issues they really didn't care.
Highly recommend not booking through this crowd.
Overpriced and under delivered.

We were really looking forward to our time at Byron and thought we'd booked a lovely place. WRONG, it started with basic items not being available when we arrived, like tea bags and cutlery. A minor issue we thought and we overlooked it. Unfortunately, our room backed onto the managers on-site accommodation so her late night chores list made our first nights stay a nightmare. The 'delicious continental breakfast' was a joke. This establishment is child free and the three cereal options available for breakfast included coco pops and corn flakes!! Not to mention the 'fresh French imported croissants' that were noted on the web, in room and even a text; all we saw was a Helga's sliced loaf. The next day our room was not serviced and when we asked why, the manager said "she forgot". Then to top it off, at 9:25pm on our final night we receive a text message saying that due to the site being sold, and the new owners were no longer offering B&B, we couldn't have any breakfast the next morning. What a joke except...I'm not laughing.

Possibly the nicest and comfiest place we have ever stayed at, and will definitely be our go to in the future when we return.
Both the main room and bathroom were spacious and the decor was aesthetically appealing. They serve super delicious croissants imported from France every morning. On top of everything they have a sauna and steam room you can use 24/7, which was the perfect complement to their fun little pool. Room service was great and easy too, zero complaints there.
However, for us it's something else which deserves a special mention. Earlier in the year Byron was hit by floods a day before we were meant to arrive, and they very compassionately shifted our booking forward at no cost despite the fact we booked through Expedia. We were not entitled to this, but they supported us anyway, and that shows how they really care for each of their customers above and beyond.
We can't recommend them enough, thank you Byron Cove Beach House for making our trip to Byron the best it could have been.

I love Byron but it can be a little crazy at certain times of the year. Byron Cove Beach House is great for a tranquil getaway, with stylish accomodation, fantastic continental breakfast, close to the beach and only a short stroll to the central of town. Denise and Greg was so hospitable and made us feel completely at home. I’ll definitely be back!

Byron Cove Beach House is in a great position and has a lovely beach tropical vibe. Unfortunately Room No 2 has a very unpleasant smell which owners are aware of but still continue to make available. Mackenzie tried her best to compensate to us by placing candles and champagne in our room and giving a refund. But the horrible smell like rotten gas or a drain problem is overbearing so my birthday evening was ruined. The room in itself is lovely and very clean and breakfast is fabulous but they need to solve the problem of the obnoxious smell and not offer the room to the public until this is solved. Apparently all other rooms are ok. I appreciated the refund and the generous champagne but this does not solve the problem.

I don’t usually write reviews but I needed to on this experience. I’m not super fussy and I’ll I expect is to sleep comfortably. The air con motor from the other rooms or main house was either under the room I was staying in or on the wall externally. I didn’t have my aircon on and was kept awake for the entire stay. The had basin drainage was blocked and The “king bed” was actually 2 singles and not comfortable. To pay $320 per night no to sleep.. no one to talk to.... I won’t be back

Hi Sam, We're really sad to read that this was your experience of the Byron Cove, we appreciate any feedback and always want to be better. At the time of your stay we unfortunately had the airconditioning unit in room 4 break and had to wait 4 weeks to replace the entire unit, we therefor had to use a tempory unit that wasnt as suitable as we'd liked although provided some airflow for the room. We would like to offer you a full refund for your stay for these inconveniences and would love to have you again to show you how amazing staying here can be. Our team will be in contact to organise refund. Mackenzie BCBH

Mackenzie was so polite and helpful right from my first call when I was looking for somewhere to wind down for a few nights. Given all of the new requirements around Covid-19 my stay was everything I wanted and needed. Quiet central location, chilled environment, beautiful, clean room and amenities. Byron Cove Beach House would suit the solo traveller or a couple. Breakfast was simple, fresh and delivered to my door right on time. PS I am a really fussy coffee drinker and the almond latte was perfect! Parking onsite and a pool on our doorstep. Short 5 minute walk to the beach at Belongil and only less than 15 min walk into the heart of Byron. Couldn't possibly ask for more! Great job Mackenzie!
