I don't know what happened to the first review from May last year but having only just realised that it had disappeared, I definitely had to provide this replacement. After a wonderful return visit in 2016, we had decided we should definitely come back as often as we could - although family commitments mean it unfortunately can't be every year nor for as long as we would like. Anyway, it was great to be back - again bringing grand-daughter (who loved the new 'little' puppy). Val and Alex were as hospitable and helpful with local information, as ever. We always listen to their recommendations. The house was as spotlessly clean and comfortable as ever - with its useful visitors lounge (and with grand-daughter loving having her own en-suite). Very definitely worth the 300+ miles journey for us!

My friend & i were made very welcome by Val & Alex from the time we arrived, to the time we had to leave. They were both very friendly, welcoming & helpful throughout our stay, nothing was too much. The cottage was cosy, an ideal spot to explore most of Cornwall's delights. Our room was just as cosy with everything we needed, aswell as homemade fairings which went down a treat. Breakfast was excellant, made from local produce or from their own chickens. We will definitely go back there to stay & totally recommend it to friends & family.

Me and my husband had the such a lovely few days away staying at the Cross close house b&b. Val & Alex were the most welcoming of hosts and nothing was to much trouble. On arrival we had a lovely homemade cream tea and then we're shown to such a beautiful bedroom, there were such lovely touches of home made cookies left daily and the breakfast had an extra special touch of honey from their own bees and eggs from the hens in their beautiful garden. We will definatly be returning thankyou so much Val & Alex it was lovely to talk gardening with you whilst wandering around your beautiful garden. Highly recommended Tam & Dan

We have visited Cross Close House on a number of occasions and each time we are impressed by the consistent high standards . The bedrooms are fresh and clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and there are on-suite facilities. In our view the food is beyond compare, and the welcome from the owners is outstanding The detail to absolutely everything is phenomenal. The owners have a beautifully arranged garden for guests to enjoy and it is a pleasure to highly recommend this bed and breakfast house as it is certainly the place to stay for a wonderful Cornish holiday. A big thank you to Val & Alex for a wonderful four days in your B&B its like coming home. Barry, Irene and Marcelle Harper.

We stayed recently for 3 nights. The location is ideal for exploring both the north & south coasts of Cornwall. On arrival we were offered a lovely complimentary cream tea with homemade scones & jam. The room was very nice & the bed very comfortable. Full English Breakfast each day was excellent and set us up for the day. Val & Alex are lovely hosts - nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommended & hopefully we will back soon.
