Stunning property - everything was finished to a high standard and loved that it’s furnished with mostly original pieces. The pool was lovely and surrounding vineyards are so peaceful to walk in. Margarida and her family were fantastic hosts and thought of everything.
There are snacks/ small plates of hot food available which were really tasty. Uber/Bolt to the nearest city (Braga) was cheap (about €10 each way).

We had an excellent time at Casa Lata; the hotel is beautiful, the service amazing, and the staff and owners incredibly nice and helpful. A special thank you to Margarida, who gave us great dinner recommendations and a tour of the family's winery followed by a fantastic tapas style dinner and wine tasting. We loved everything about our time at Casa Lata and would definitely go back if we are in the region again.

Place was ideally located - Braga, Guimares, Ponte de Lima, Viana do Costelo were all easy to drive to … making Casa Lata an ideal place to stay at. Room was immaculate and clean. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Most of all, the host (Margarida) was so welcoming and helpful! She helped with all our queries, gave us a little tour of the wine production facilities where we even met her father who is the owner of this beautiful vineyard. Such an amazing place, and highly recommended!

Loved our stay here, wish it could’ve been for longer (we stayed for a night, for a wedding at nearby venue Solar de Levada). Margarida and her family were so friendly and inviting and the property was very beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. We felt at home straight away. Excellent communication before, during and after; beautiful pool area with sun loungers and hammock; wonderful breakfast that delighted all members of our family (including a small child); spacious room and bed. We left a pair of sunglasses by the pool and they were located and posted to us very quickly. Would love to return.

We enjoyed a wine tasting pared with delicious small bites of local bread and cheeses. Our guide was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the Vinho Verde region. We got a tour of their small, family winery and hotel and were very impressed with how they had created a really nice experience for a wine tasting and a visit. Our guide spoke excellent English and we would recommend a visit to Casa Lata!

What a gem! Situated in a beautiful area of Portugal, it was for us a wonderful stay, that we both wished could last longer. So friendly owners and staff, good breakfast and excellent lunch. Clean rooms with nice size to withdraw to, after spending some hours at their very inviting and well kept pool area. A place with great history of making wine, and you can join wine tasting as well as buy some bottles with you for enjoying at a later stage. As the title says.. I would love to go there again!!

Love every ting about this beatiful hotell. And most of all thank you to Margarida Costa and her Staff who made this days before our daughters wedding unforgettable. We have never met so kind and serviceminded as Margarida. It was wery interessant to have guide in their wine produktion. Very good wine. Beatiful place,room,very clean. Who needs a 5-Star Hotel if you have Casa Lata!! Our 10 days there where fantastic, you receive anything you wish if you ask. The owner and the employees gives you the feeling like being Home. The property is really nice, the rooms enough big and clean. Of cause for the next trip to Portugal we will come back.

We stayed here as a couple and with other members of our family in mid August 2017. We had been recommended to this hotel by my brother.
Casariego Lata is a working vineyard and wine producer with some rooms and a villa for hire. It is rural and the property is well kept spacious and comfortable. There is a swimming pool, a small bar and a restarant for breakfast only.
The owners are very helpful and even booked a restaurant for us.
As an aside - try the white wine - it is superb.
Must mention the bar at the end of the lane. Two of us drank wine and coffe in there for a couple of hours each morning and the bill was never more than 6 euro. A truly Portuguese bar.
