Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having spent a very pleasant weekend at Manor Farm some 15 years ago it was great to return and find the same hosts. Ross & John make you so welcome and to share their beautiful house is a joy. It is home from home nad nothing left to chance. The breakfasts are just what you need to set you up for the day looking around this area. Lacock Abbey (NT) now open to the public. The flight of locks at Caen Hilll on the Kennet & Avon canal near Devizes are worth a visit. All in all a lovely weekend break in a very comfortable home.

Pleasant and spacious room all very comfortable and clean. We had the attic double room in the main house which has an additonal single bed in a seperate room. Lots of space and tea making kit and nice tv in the room. En suite bathroom a little dated (avocado suite and carpet on side of the bath!?) but perfectly nice and clean.

Good value at £35 per person per night. Breakfast all good though vegetarian option lacking slightly.

My only criticism is the owners could have been a little friendlier - not that they were unpleasant just a little rushed in dealing with you.

I would recommend it if you need to stay near malmesbury.

Very good value for someone on their own!

Staying here after a study week in Aberystwyth proved an excellent way to unwind ...!

Filling, excellent food; warm spacious rooms; masses of storage space (wardobes everywhere); excellent en-suite bathroom; helpful, interested and genuinely friendly service; TV, drink-making facilities, sink and power points in room; comfortable, kind beds; all in all, clean and unfussy. (There could be more bedside cabinets rather than tables; but this is a minor point as there's so much storage elsewhere, even in my smaller room.) Rooms are cleaned every day and are clutter-free.

Ross has won a "Welcome Host" award; it shows in her attitude and approach. Nothing is too much trouble it seems. And a Catering Award! Her goregous Full English Breakfast really is to live for (see photo)!

Decorating is in a country style, but I don't bother about flowers on walls or bed covers, as long as it's comfy. Manor Farm looks exactly like it does on the website or in the brochure. There's no sleight of hand. 'It does what it says on the tin'. Staying off-peak I paid just £30 per day, which is stupendous value for money.

The Living Room I did not use much, but the sofas are relaxing, there are games to play and flatscreen TV (as in every room). They have decorated the Dining Room also faithfully to the character of this 17th Century farmhouse. The B and B is on a main road from the M4 to Malmesbury - the A429 - but double-glazing throughout minimizes noise and the traffic dies down after 7 pm anyway.

As John and Ross Eavis say, it's a working farm - the cow farm is opposite the B and B (across the road) and free-range chickens are kept in the opposing direction, beyond the self-catering cottage. I found the aroma pleasant when I even noticed it - but it suited me, and farm stays are not going to be everyone's liking anyway.

As I said to John and Ross when I left, I'm going to recommend Manor Farm to everyone I meet! Absolutely fantastic! Best B and B I've stayed in ever!

Wonderful b&b on a working farm just off the M4, about 5 miles south of Malmesbury in the small village of Corston. Proprietor was extremely accommodating. We stayed in the cottage in the back, which was almost a complete house itself: washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove (hob), satellite TV in main room and the 2 bedrooms, and DVD player (with selection of DVD's). 1 Bedroom had double, 1 had 2 twins. Breakfast was traditional everyday and quick service. Other people we visited at breakfast who stayed there for work said it was the best B&B around, and they had stayed in others in the area.

It is a quick hop to Bath, Avebury, Bradford, Cotswolds from this location. Park and ride is available from Malmesbury if you so choose to travel there by train.

Arranging a room reservation was simple via email. I had to send a letter and very small deposit. Only inconvenience was they didn't take credit card, but a small inconvenience for such a nice place.

Pub (with drinks and food) is just a short walk down the road. But this is the place to go for quiet and relaxation. Oh, and since it's a working farm, the milk can't be any fresher than if you got it from the cow yourself!

"We stayed in the double room above the dining room and it was very comfortable. We look for No Smoking - No Pets places as we are human and being off farming stock we always kept our animals outside - not in the bedroom !!"
