Upon arrival there was no staff there to greet us. We got there at 3:30pm and our room was not ready. It took 2 plus hours before we could check-in. I rented the best room at the property and breakfast for everyday. The room didn't have have the items that were listed. No toiletries, had to wait a full day just to get hand soap. The room was nice and large, not a suite. Porch had a partial view of the beach. We never received the food we paid for. Only on the last day did they provide a refund for the meals we paid for. In the 5 days our room was only cleaned one time, even though I asked for cleaning. I will not stay at this property again.

This is 'a home made for travelers, by travelers' and I absolutely agree. It was our home away from home. It's a block away from everything so perfect location, the room was spacious. Nice big bed, a/c, a really nice hot shower. There's a little pool to chill in, a living room area with couches and a kitchen. Yader was really nice and helped us with everything. This was the best accommodation we stayed at in Nicaragua!

This is definitely a b&b and not a hostel. Although it has facilities for cooking in shared area My suite was really nice and confortable. A/C worked well enough I liked the pool and the deck to go and look at the sunset. Things I did not like was that they make you pay everything up front (literally had to get up from the table before eating to pay for my breakfast). The room, meals transfers gets charged upfront which makes you feel like you are not trustworthy. Also, the toilet did not get enough water pressure in our room. We were completely by ourselves in the hotel and even then we had to walk around the property and half way up the lookout deck to use the workers Toilet. They would not let us use the one directly below us in another empty room (too easy to do to clean that toilet afterwards as it was our check out morning). We also ordered a taxi through the hotel to pick us up at the border and it never arrived :( But the hotel itself is really nice

I enjoyed my stay here. The place was very clean and had reliable AC, WiFi and hot water. The common area was lovely, with a small pool and a kitchen. There's also a nice rooftop deck. The place is located just 2 blocks from the main street so easy to get places but also more quiet than being on the main drag. The hotel offers amenities like meal delivery and tour excursions. Yader, who was managing the place when I was there, is super nice and helpful.

This is my 2nd stay here. I was here last year at the exact same time. Stayed Apr. 27 - May 7. Many aspects of this stay were similar to last year - very positive. A few were a little different - not as positive. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly, eager and enthusiastic staff person (can't remember his name for the life of me). Shown to my room (same as last year and an amazing room). It seemed quiet compared to last year and in fact the whole town was quieter than this time last year. I was looking forward to a similar, amazing experience here this trip as I experienced last year. This expectation was mostly fulfilled. What I was disappointed with is the lack of a breakfast cook this year and mediocre breakfast that was picked up at the sister hostel and brought by the same friendly staff person to me every morning (and is onsite 24/7). I had paid $3 US (which I had commented about in previous communication with the owners). The breakfast was the same every morning, rice & beans, fried plantains and eggs either scrambled or fried (usually fried and greasy). It did arrive hot though. It became very boring after a couple of days. What was missing was the amazing breakfast cook from last year. I felt that she really was the soul of the place last year and enhanced my experience with her always friendly, smiling face and delicious breakfasts which changed every day. It was a great way to start the day and set the tone for the rest of the day. I was told this change was due to finances and the past years 'crisis'. I get that. I just felt the place had lost something that made it special. I also felt the place seemed neglected in some way with this change; the energy just seemed different (and in no way reflects on the awesome staff person that was there and helpful every day/night). Would I stay again? Yes I would. I still enjoy the small size, the room I stayed in and the quaint pool after a hot day in the sun. The location is also perfect. I loved sitting on my balcony in the morning and evening and listening to the sounds of the town and ocean. So very relaxing. Next time I would lower my expectations in terms of the breakfast as I'm used to staying at places that offer breakfast with the room price and made onsite.
