Arte-Sano is where hotel meets house. We are located on the point between two of the best beaches in San Juan Del Sur (Playa Maderas & Playa Marsella) and offer the highest level of comfort and luxury accommodations north of town while giving you access to the adventure travel you are seeking. We have a restaurant and bar on-site and provide a creative and healthy environment for those that are not willing to compromise on comfort. We also have an amazing expresso machine and wonderful nicaraguan coffee for those who love their coffee in the morning. We also have a full assortment of wine including Rose for those who like to enjoy the afternoon by the pool. The Arte-Sano villa can arrange surf lessons, yoga, horseback riding, or a sail on a luxury catamaran. If you are coming to Nicaragua to enjoy the Souther Nicaraguan coastline, this is the place for you.

BEWARE. There seems to be new management and they don’t allow children any longer. Gone are the tranquil sunsets with a bottle of Rosé followed by Aperol Spritz and fine food. We found out rudely today right at sunset by staff lying around on couches and eating. Not to mention there was not a single customer there. Amazes us that they would turn away a couple hundred dollars in business during these times of reduced tourism. Oh well the hidden gem is no longer. Good luck new management. We will be taking our well behaved 8 year old and our money elsewhere.

Response from Joshua Thomas, Owner at Arte-Sano Hotel Cafe

Hrycuik - We have always tried to create a beautiful elegant place for adults and have only permitted children in the hotel/cafe on a few occasions. We are doing out best to create an elegant and sophisticated environment for adults to mingle and socialize. We would love to have you again a customer but the children would need to stay at home. By the way….we are under the same management as always with original owners. We don’t think that our policy merits the rating that you gave us as we are executing wonderfully on our intended business model for a specific sector of the market. Best, Josh Thomas

This hotel is without a doubt one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. I visted Arte Sano with my partner, we were blow away by the breathtaking views and loction, delicous food and drinks, gorgeous rooms with very comfy beds and top quaity bed linens, chilled out vibe, beautiful decor and art pieces everywhere and most of all the wonderful hospitality and service we received from all of the staff. Alma, Blana, Norlan, Jaikel and Horhey as well as all of the kitchen staff and maiencnce staff were just so helpful, cooking and serving us amazing food and drinks everyday, keeping the hotel and our room so clean and fresh! Everyone was so kind and really made our stay one that we will not forget. Thank you Arte Sano!

Amazing time at this property!!!! I found the local beaches both different and this hotel separates them on top of the hill. One beach remote and beautiful and the other full of life with surfers and travelers. The hotel is a contrast to the local hostels. King Bed, amazing food, such value, each item well thought out and delicious. Reasonably priced. This is also a location where Ex Pats gather. Every night a wonderful collection of local eclectic people. This hotel is well run and the owner Josh is often seen around the property. The employees are warm and friendly people. I highly recommend this location due to the location ( near two local beaches, one peaceful and one more surf oriented. both are awesome in their own right. The great comforts, infinity pools, bedding, air-conditioning, service and food. espressos every morning or smoothies at lunch. then a nice group of international travelers and mix of expats that make the atmosphere really fun. I look forward to staying here again. I was on a single, solo trip motorcycling and the combination made for a great stay, and so many warm interactions.
