On our way back to Kunming we stayed here for a night. It is a boutique hotel, nicely decorated in traditional style. And that is the only positive point about this place. You need to walk little from the car parking area as vehicle is not allowed in this heritage road. That is manageable. But, major challenge was communication. The staff at the reception tried her level best to help us check in. After a while we saw a more mature women on the front desk and we thought to confirm about our morning breakfast, etc. She was also not having knowledge on English and in contrary to the younger staff she was rude! Anyway, you can ignore such thing. But, night became difficult with some noisy guests in adjacent room. There was nobody to whom we could communicate about this. Breakfast was also very limited. So, it may be a good choice for the local people but I do not recommend it for the foreigners.…
I was staying 1 night in this hotel (as a member of an Israeli group) on 30th October 2017 and when i checked out i as forced to pay 50 Yuan for a simple laundry bag which i used for my laundry as it was my last day in china. 50 Yuan is what I paid for an embroidered colorful ladies bag in a good shop in China so no way to understand how can a dissent hotel who has probably paid 2-4 Yuan for this laundry disposable cloth bag charge at all... but if it is charged how can it come to 50 Yuan???? This is really a disgrace for this 5 stars hotel! Nava Sanders (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Chinese traditional styling. Well located. Rooms at back currently blighted by construction. We had big suite with two bedrooms and sitting area. Staff not particularly friendly. Clean room with good shower. Bed quite hard. Generally ok.
Lovely hotel in good central location Room (ours was No 317) was spacious and whilst not recently decorated was very clean. We had a pleasant stay for 4 days. Only downside was that reception staff did not appear to have any English which led to a misunderstanding over the deposit we paid on arrival and for which we were promised a receipt later. This was not refunded but thankfully was a small amount. So get a receipt! Otherwise staff cheerful and friendly.
