Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pool is closed this year. Breakfast is "grab 'n go" only, continental. I called hotel in advance of arrival. Was also told that Parking was free. After doing a bit of digging I did find on the Marriott website that it was "closed due to covid" but you really have to look to find it under the experiences section. Trip Advisor is still showing they have a pool - which may be true but a closed pool shouldn't be advertised in my opinion.

Thank you for your review of TownePlace Suites. I do apologize that the pool is closed this year. It will not be open for the remainder of this year. Parking for our guests is always free. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Our guests satisfaction is our number one concern. Thank you, Christine

My husband and I try to stay only stay at Marriott properties when traveling. However, after this last experience with a propety bought but but not built by Marriott unfortunately we will have to do our due diligence when making reservations. This property was not up to Marriott standards by any neans.

Traveling in town for business, TownePlace Suites was recommended.

Check-in was ok, but the team member DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE AT ALL!!! No smiles, no thank you, nothing. Reminded me of an angry AI character in the future.

The hotel is a mature facility with a campus like setup with multiple buildings. The room was alright, but it was clear to see that some level of renovation was taking place.
For one night, I made due.

This is one of our two go to Marriott hotels that we stay at when we visit family in the area. I had booked a one bedroom by mistake and when I checked in, the front desk clerk upgraded us to a two bedroom for just two dollars. Our stay was for one night on the Sunday before Memorial Day. The one bedroom was $162 so the two bedroom ended up being only $164 which is a great value for such a suite. The furniture in the two bedroom was a little worse for wear but that's not a deal breaker for us. Everything was clean which is important these days. The tv remotes were even placed in plastic bags. We will definitely be back!

A friend booked this hotel stay. One of the worst hotels I stayed in. Initially we were very surprised at the dilapidated condition of the property itself (in comparison to the price rate). As we decided to make the best of the situation for our 2 days stay we were more disappointed by the room and service. The room was gloomy/no curtains/barely clean. Our bathroom bathtub water drain did not empty properly. We had to call the front desk. The same person that checked us in came to empty the drain. Apparently, they have no staff to accommodate guests. She was very fake and pretentious with excuses. Don't bother with the morning breakfast as they only serve artificial processed wrapped food items. The next day we were out all day to return to a room that had never been cleaned by housekeeping. Again, we called the front desk to complain and were met with the same pretentious fake front desk person; trying to dismiss the problem regarding the lack of service. We were told "housekeeping" forgot to clean. We said this was unacceptable. We were met with the excuse that housekeeping had already left for the day. Obviously, a lie since they probably have NO staff. We were told someone would bring clean towels and linens to the room. It seems like the rooms are only re-arranged when a guest arrive to give an appearance of cleanliness. I didn't appreciate the performative fake behavior of the front desk lady regarding this matter. Bottom line one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. Choose better.

I've never written an online review before, but I had to since this place was so bad. Now where to start....

Well, for one it looked like people lived here. Not temporarily staying there. People would hang out side at all hours of the day and night. Some even would put out lawn chairs in the parking lot & grassy areas. Beer in your pajamas at 1pm? Yep, right there at the only picnic table with nothing but cigarette butts everywhere. I wouldn't mind these things if it was a one time thing, people relax in different ways... but everyday and night? The was trash piled high and overflowing at the one can for over 48 hours. (with no recycling) Trash bags from guests thrown in common areas. A group of people smoking weed by the dumpster. People coming and going at all hours of the day and night that did not live there. (buying/selling drugs?) People staggering around the facility. It seemed my one neighbor would let their baby cry all day long, and then dog bark all night long. Weed smell just about everywhere. Oh and to top it all off, a nice brown stain on my bath towel. Yeah... all in all, this place looked like it was housing/encouraging addicts and I am 100% surprised no one asked me for spare change.

Booked this place for a weekend while our house was for sale, having multiple showings and we needed to be out of the house. We were planning to make a weekend of it and sleep there but after seeing the state of the place we only used the room during the day to have a place to hang out. So glad our house was close enough to go back to at night to sleep before the next days showings. The room itself was clean enough but the whole place is really sketchy with shady characters hanging out in the parking lot, people congregating by the doors to smoke, random guys coming and going from certain rooms and the scent of pot wafting through the hallways. It felt like people live here and/or do 'business' from their room.

Aside from the creepiness, there are absolutely no amenities. The kitchen had hardly any items to use for cooking, thankfully we didn't plan on that. There was no breakfast other than a 'grab and go' bag which we didn't even bother to go pick up. The staff claim it was due to "covid restrictions' though we've stayed in a few other places over the last year that had breakfast available, served by staff rather than buffet, but I guess they couldn't be bothered. I would not recommend this place at all and will make sure Marriott is aware how they don't live up to the name.

I was somewhat concerned about staying at this hotel while we were attending a family wedding based on many negative reviews I read. However, our experience was positive. The staff were incredible. The head of housekeeping went above and beyond just to make sure that we had everything we needed and find a few things that we lacked like a flyswatter because we had a fly visit. The front desk, staff and breakfast staff were all equally nice. I have stayed at more expensive and upgraded hotels where the staff haven’t been as nice. Our bed was comfortable. My only negative remarks are that there are no mirrors in the main part of the room only in the bathroom and the lighting was not great for reading or any other kind of work.

This place looks like a run-down apartment complex. I was hesitant to even check in. My husband suggested we check out the room first. The check-in experience was less than stellar. The room was just OK. At least it was clean. Our main reason for booking at the Town Suites was to have a kitchen. While traveling during COVID-19, we were not sure what our eating out options would be. We prepared ourselves for having to cook. Luckily we didn't have to. I found all the silverware and dishes in the dishwasher (I guess for COVID protocol) there was (1) fork, (3) spoons, (4) knives, (2) small plates and a mismatched stack of dinner plates. NO pots or pans. A few very used plastic bowls. And the stove only had three feet and was sticky. The breakfast was given to us in a bag. (Again, COVID protocol). There was a muffin, juice and a yogurt which I was afraid to eat. It was warm and I didn't know how long it had been sitting out. We got breakfast out after that. It was an odd place and I felt like there were people living there. It just had a strange vibe. We decided to stay for the three nights be booked. At least it was quiet at night. I just don't know how this place can even be considered a Marriott property. I won't be going back.

Stay away from this place. It’s worn and dingy. Bed was soft and sank in the middle. The two of us were crashing into each other all night. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. Bathroom sink is child-height and tub is way smaller than standard. Slow; spotty internet. We were booked for three nights, checked out after one. On the plus side, the desk attendant was gracious and acted concerned. She waived the early check-out fee.
