Detailed Reviews
Not good by any standard. Waitress was friendly and worked hard. That's the highlight.
All 6 of us ordered soup or salad. Took 1.5 hours to get these simple orders and quality was not good.
Tried 2 other local eateries which were outstanding.
Ox Yoke Inn isnot recommended by our group.

Very old and in disrepair. Rather sad near end of what was once a rather attractive little spot right on the river. Stayed here during a motorcycle ride. Room had no shampoo, no coffee and he only heat was a space heater with a warning not to use it and a hair dryer at the same time. Restaurant was also a disappointment.

Was desperate and needed to spend 2 nights there in December. Room was cold, couldn't get it above 65. Tub surround is falling off, bedspread and blankets are stained and full of cigarette holes, carpet is disgusting, lamp shades are full of holes and falling apart, don't even think about taking off your clothes to sleep, best to keep them on and wear boots. Owners don't care about your complaints and there are never any refunds. Food is terrible. Not a family friendly place as they had a black bear that was shot hanging out front on the kids swing set while we were they're. I will NEVER EVER spend another night there

A few friends and myself were on a long weekend trip along Route 6. This place came recommended by some other friends of mine so we thought we would give it a try. When we opened the door to our room it reeked of a mold/mildew smell, the carpet felt damp and over all it looks like the room hasn't been changed since the 50's. We all stayed outside until it was actually time to go to bed, I felt like I should have left my clothes on. The overall property was in a state of disrepair, the owners need to put some money back into there "investment". Needless to say we were all very disappointed and will not be back.

Ugh...hardly anything good to say about this place. Let's see...not in any order....ripped lampshade, had to jostle handle of toilet, leaky shower faucet, no tissues (nor microwave nor een coffee maker) , door lock insecure, no way of contacting owner after restaurant closes, shower had insufficient hot water (warm), floor in bathroom somewhat dirty....I could go on. Definitely not worth the $67 for a single. I wouldn't NOT stay here but I wouldn't go out of my way, either. I was in room 7, in case you are looking for a room to avoid.

Stayed here a few times over the years. This part of PA is quiet, but the riding is excellent, so It's a great place for a base of operations.
L shape motel, with an accompanying restaurant and bar in a small town. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Prices are reasonable.
First time here I organized a motorcycle group gathering of 130, filling the rooms and the owners (riders themselves) let our campers set up in the grass facing the motel. Perfect set up, and they put on a dinner for us on the Saturday night. Good eats at a good price. Showers were available to the campers as well. Small river in the back was nice for a swim at the end of the day.
We liked it so much we went back 3 years later, and are going again this year.
This one is recommended.

After a long day's drive along colorful PA route 6, few rooms were available. The Ox Yoke inn is old! with flat pillows on an otherwise comfortable bed. It was fairly clean except for a plugged sink and 40-50 lady bugs crawling in the windows and around the lights. Walls are super thin so the happy couple next door shared their multiple copulations with us. We finally left at 5:30 a.m. The associated restaurant charges extra for salad dressing and gravy for our potatoes. The food was good but I felt gouged by this place. Avoid!

1st went to this area 3 yrs ago with a riding group we belong to. It by no means is the Taj Mahal, but it is clean comfy. The owners have always been super hospitable and being riders themselves, know how to treat fellow riders. We have been back to this place twice and will be going again the end of this month with a smaller group. The area beautiful to ride in and The Ox Yoke Inn is a great base location. Nice restaurant, reasonably priced. Overall atmosphere cant be beat.
