Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent campground and amazing owners/staff. We booked our site last minute (about 25 minutes before we arrived) and the office staff was more than accommodating. Check in/forms were online and very simple to fill out.

We originally asked for a site by the creek, but when we arrived there with our RV, we didn’t realize that those sites do not have sewer hookup. A quick phone call to the office and our site was moved to accommodate our sewer needs.

The RV sites are spacious and (depending on whether you have site neighbors or not) can be pull through. The electrical, water and sewer hookups are at a good place within the sites.

If you plan on working, browsing the internet or even STREAMING on Netflix or Hulu, you will have no problems doing so. The WiFi is amazingly fast. There is also great cell phone service throughout the campground.

Please disregard the negative reviews posted below! This campground is clean, modern and is staffed with friendly, eager to help staff.

Absolutely beautiful campground. You are right off a creek that feeds the PA Grand Canyon. I came with my family during the off season, they still had the water on when most campgrounds are closed for the season. I called about arriving early, the office person was very accommodating and there was no problem. Saturday night it fell below freezing causing my water line to freeze up. Sunday before checkout, I called the office again to see if we could have an extra hour to thaw everything. They were very understanding and there was no issue. This was a 5hr trip for my family and next season we will be back to see it during an active season.

Thank You!

My husband and I and our 3 dogs stayed in Cabin 4. We brought 2 dog crates, one large and one medium size and still had plenty of room to move around. My husband was not fond of the beds but I slept ok. He thought they were a little too firm. The campground is centrally located and we were able to do almost everything on our bucket list. We discovered Lyman Run State Park too late though, would have loved to go swimming there! The campground is well maintained and was quiet. The cabins are close together but we had nice neighbors while we were there. I would stay there again and would recommend to others. The price and location are just right! One word about the restaurants in the area-there are not many and almost all of them are short handed.

This is a very nice campground right off RT 6 in Gaines, PA. The campground is right along Pine Creek which feeds the gorge of The PA Grand Canyon. Sites 2-28 are back-to-back and very close. All the other sites have a decent amount of space. We were originally booked to camp along the Creek with our grandson and dog. However, the weekend before Hurricane Debby came through and the Creek overflowed causing floding damage in that section. Management called and moved us to a site in the Upper Level. It is all grass and we easily parked our 33' rv. The crew was working hard to repair the damage and we were told Creekside sites would hopefully be reopened around Labor Day. There are lots of things to do here. We were limited because of our dog, but we did see the east and west rim of the canyon and the PA Lumber Museum which is dog friendly on the outside part. I recommend both. The Rover app even recommended a dog-friendly restaurant, but we couldn't go because they had to close early that day. This is a remote area. We couldn't get any radio or TV, but my VZ 5g work perfectly. They do offer WiFi. You get a fire ring, but there isn't a grill grate on it. This is a nice campground that I would definitely recommend!
