Detailed Reviews
I give 5 stars to this lodge which should not be a comparison to a luxury hotel 5 stars. For it's genre, this lodge was clean and comfortable. I had Suite 5. We had to get the air conditioner fixed, but they did this the next day very promptly.
Traffic:
This room is on the first floor, and backs to the highway. However, we were generally not disturbed by the traffic. We kept the window closed, a fan going to circulate air, which helped with white noise. I live on 5 acres, and am not used to traffic noise, so my saying this was not a problem is meaningful.
Kitchen:
There are some things I would recommend:
1. Bring charcoal and lighter fluid, there are plenty of nice charcoal grills for use.
2. Bring a 2-cup measure, all they had was a 1 cup.
3. For skillets, there is a large cast iron, and a small non-stick, so bring what you need.
4. Bring your own towels including hand towel/wash cloth for the bathroom, and an extra small rug, though they provide a step-out thin towel. Bathroom was immaculate.
5. Plan to go to Cherry Springs National Park for the stars. While the view at the lodge is ok, there are lights on all the cabins, and it is nothing like the Park.
6. Bring a floating raft for the creek, and WATER SHOES to wade on the creek rocks. The water was crystal clear and lovely, and it was fun to wade up and down the creek. It is at most (in August) about 2.5 feet deep, mostly about 6 inches.
7. There are a few fast food restaurants about 10 min away in Galeton, groceries in Wellsboro, but try to just bring it all with you. Make a detailed menu and get needed groceries before you leave. fridge is large and cold. Gas stove is great. The water was good, though we always use our filter jug.
8. Bring 2 extra rolls of toilet paper, and a roll of paper towels to be safe.
Suite 6 was a dream, much larger with a good creek view; my daughter had that one. But it is $$$.

Room Tip:Â Try to stay on 1st floor of the lodge since the stairs get tedious. Wade the creek!

This property has many lodging options, from cabins to houses to suites. The property is expansive and welcoming (multiple firepits w\wood provided), and right on the river! We stayed in one of the two bedroom suites, it felt more like a stand alone cabin, which we really enjoyed. The suite was well appointed with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and it was immaculately clean. A home away form home. We will be back.

Great mid week wilderness get away in PA grand canyon region, We stayed in suite 3, which was a second level suite in the multi-suite lodge. Very clean, very well equipped, very well priced especially for a mid week March stay and was a great fit for the 3 of us. Location is ideal - very close to Pine Creek bike trail which is breathtaking ride through the PA grand canyon in a rails to trail trail, close to both PA grand canyon area, things to do in Coudersport including star gazing, and some small town charm in both Galeton and Wellsboro, Also very close to PA lumber museum whcih is a hidden gem. We enjoyed just sitting creekside on the property in a very nice area. Is right off Route 6 which can lead to some road noise, but was not an issue for us.

Absolutely immaculate accommodations however is currently an active construction site and located right on a busy, loud road. Also, no smoking allowed inside any rental which is great however all porches/patios/outside space smoking is permitted. Mgt did accommodate a room switch with upcharge such that we weren't attached to smokers on our patio which was appreciated. Reason for low rating is that we were not informed at time of booking one week before travel that the property was an active construction site clearly interfering with a peaceful mountain getaway .

Do not make a reservation there unless you know your future. On 10-17 I booked a room for one night for 10-20. The following day we had an unknown medical condition. I called to cancel and was told unless the room was re-rented my amount would not be refunded. I called several times after to inquire about a refund and was given various excuses and that they didn't know if it was booked but I would receive a call by 10AM on the morning of 10-21 which never came. I find this horrible policy and inexcusable.
Also when checking the internet for availability I was significantly overcharged.

Great stay in a great place. We stayed in suite 3. It was very spacious for the two of us and had everything we needed. Very well maintained and incredibly clean. Sitting on the front deck overlooking the creek was so relaxing. The room had several windows and was light, bright and when opened, they provided a great breeze. The only downside would be the traffic noise from Rt. 6, but there are so many good points, you easily overlook that. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

The suite (Suite 1) was spotless and looked almost new. It contained everything that you could possibly need for a week stay. People were lovely. We chose to pay extra for our linens, and they were worth it. Wish we lived closer (5 hours away) because we definitely would be back.

We stayed in the Beech Cabin and the Maple Cabin. Both cabins were very clean and had everything we needed. My brother and family stayed in the Hickory. Very nice and relaxing trip. Can’t wait to go back!

Stayed overnight while motorcycling across PA in Suite #7. Place must be pretty new - everything was in great shape. Don't forget to ask for linen service (we almost forgot, but they took care of us). Bed was very comfortable. The cabins down by the river looked pretty nice for larger groups. Little noisy right by Route 6 for light sleepers.

They have lodge walls-in option, but then also cabin options. We stayed in Maple I believe -- it was the last one in the lot and incredible! Go for the cabins for sure.
Yes. They are pet friendly. You will need to pay additional fee for pets but it is reasonable. This place was great for our dog, basically a park right outside the door.
I don't know either. Would be best to call them for details.
Yes this is a pet friendly property
