We came back for a 2nd time and brought friends with us. The service was over and above what I ever would have expected. We were accommodated even though we came a day early by accident. The breakfasts were delicious!! What a spread! Pat and Tom were delightful. We talked for a while about the area and where she grew up and visited several places that interested us. Do not hesitate to book but do not take my spot for next time!:) We will be back and bring more friends next time. A great getaway for several couple. We had wine with cheese and crackers out in the yard, talked and had snacks in the lounge and looked at their lovely yard, watching the birds go in the birdhouses.
The Chapel Valley Inn is a nice property but the highlight is the innkeepers - Pat and Tom. Pat prepared delicious breakfasts and I thoroughly enjoyed our morning chats. I also enjoyed meeting Pat's 94 year old mother, who lives with them. There is a "den"-like common room with snacks and comfy seating and my room was quite comfortable albeit a bit snug in spots. One thing I wish they would consider changing is the soap and shampoo situation - there are gel dispensers in the shower and the gel is quite fragrant - I really couldn't use them because of my allergies. Luckily I travel with my own soap and shampoo so I could work around it. All in all, I would not hesitate to stay here again to enjoy more great breakfasts and conversation.
I stayed at CVE two nights ago after a friend's wedding with my boyfriend and four friends (and their baby). One of the couples was the couple getting married and the first thing I noticed was a huge "Congratulations" sign upon arrival. The owners were the kindest people and made our stay incredible. I stayed in the Loft Room, which was perfect (the bed was enormous when the two were pushed together). The sitting area was full of games and refreshments. They accommodated my friends with the baby (who was six months old) and even provided her with extra toys while we ate. Speaking of our breakfast, it was PHENOMENAL. There was a large spread and everything was local and handmade. Pat made us cinnamon rolls, a tomato spinach quiche, stuffed mushrooms, maple brushed bacon (my personal favorite), roasted potatoes and a side of fruit. They also provided us with water, orange juice, coffee and tea. Pat and Tom were sweet and funny and it truly looked like they were enjoying us being there as much as we enjoyed being there. This was my first time ever staying at a traditional Bed and Breakfast and I don't think I ever want to stay at a hotel again! I would 100% recommend this B&B for any kind of trip.…
Held my Daughter in laws baby shower in the event room & patio and rented most of the rooms for the weekend. Amazing service in helping us plan the perfect event. Pat was very open to as many phone calls as needed to plan. All the rooms we stayed in were amazingly clean & organized. It felt like a home away from home. Breakfast...TO DIE FOR!!! Quite possibly the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Pat & Tom were so friendly, flexible & available. The fire pit was a fun evening activity too. We will return for sure.
This was our fourth stay and it was just as delightful as the first. Innkeepers Pat & Tom are friendly, gracious hosts - particularly in the midst of this pandemic. We never once worried about cleanliness or being safe. We relaxed near a fire that night and they set up a lovely breakfast al fresco - so yummy. Five years ago, we celebrated our wedding night in the Cottage Loft - we returned for our first and fifth anniversaries. It's a special place where you can truly "get away." We are already planning our next trip.
My husband and I just returned from a 50 year HS reunion in Ellwood City and stayed here based on a recommendation of a friend, This place is a gem and it's owned/operated by a couple (Pat and Tom) who immediatly made us feel welcome -- just like others have said. . We enjoy staying at B&B's when we travel and this place will NOT disappoint. .... If your travels take you anywhere near Ellwood City you should stop HERE. Yes you could save a few dollars and stay at a discount hotel 15 miles down the road but if you'll regret not staying here. Very clean, comfortable, beautiful property, great breakfast, and terrific hosts,, What more could you want?.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely B&B while attending a retreat in the area. Pat and Tom are marvelous hosts and make you feel welcome immediately. The Inn is well kept, clean and decorated beautifully. I can't say enough about the breakfast Pat takes extra care in preparing fresh food for her guests using local merchants as much as possible. She offers gluten and diary free options as well. It is delicious food and beautifully presented They offer a drink and snack station all day and there are lovely grounds to wander. I am well traveled and this is one of the finest B&B's I have ever had the pleasure of staying. You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful property and great room. Pat was super nice and great to talk to as well as accommodating for us dropping in a little early and coming in late too. If you are going to Pitt Race in Wampum, its a very easy 20 min drive from Chapel Valley to the track. Highly recommend!
We loved staying at chapel valley! We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon, and felt very welcome. The owners are very hospitable and the breakfast was homemade and amazing. It is a quiet place for anyone who needs to relax and enjoy family time. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Pros Very nice inn keepers, willing to accommodate needs, great conversation at breakfast, really enjoyed meeting Pat and Tom and Pats mom. Great delicious breakfasts, (Pat is a skilled cook and Baker) and my favorite thing is not having to sit at a large dining room table with strangers, you can sit at your own table :) Beautiful cottage loft room If you forget your shampoo, conditioner or shower gel, it’s in the shower. Loved having the robes next to our jacuzzi tub (we stayed in the cottage loft). Snacks and drinks and water in the room. Creamer and coffee and coffee maker in the room. The absolute most comfortable heavenly sleep in a bed and breakfast I have ever had. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable room, even with the temperature being 91 the weekend we were there. The grounds are beautiful, lots of sitting areas outside. Great fast communication for any questions you have. WiFi available We already made our reservation for next year :) Cons I cannot think of a thing that needs improved at this B&B…
