I statyed at the Hypatt House Plymouth Meeting for an entire year. The staff were all excellent, starting with the Manager, Mr. Jarvis. The front desk, breakfast workers, housekeeping and engineers all made me feel at home. The rooms are well-appointed, clean. When there were a few minor problems, they were fixed right away. The breakfast was always fresh, not like some places, they have real food, not microwaved omletes. Nice bar to gather. Plenty of free parking. Nice pool in the summer. Very safe as well. I highly recommend, especially for exended stay.

The cleanliness of the rooms were not up to par. There were crumbs on the floor and in the drawers. The side of the bed had some food stuck to it. Hair was on one of the towels. And many updates and TLC needed within the suite. We had to move from one suite to another because of how dirty the first one was. Although the second was better, we still were not impressed given the condition. The suites as a whole are set up very nice with all the amenities, however, they truly need cleaned THOROUGHLY and we shouldn’t have to see crumbs from previous guests from however long ago.
The second room we stayed in was next to the boiler room. Sporadically with no warning there was an extremely loud bang which would wake us up during the night and startle us out of our sleep. It wasn’t a loud bang You could just ignore but it literally shook our entire room and scared us every time. We alerted the front desk staff, but they just matter of factly said we were next to the boiler room and didn’t really seem concerned about us losing sleep/being startled and disrupted over the loud noise. Honestly, that room shouldn’t even be available for stay. Unless you’re one that has no startle reflex than the room shouldn’t even be given to guests.

The worst Hyatt hotel I've ever stayed at. As a global traveler, I frequent many Hyatt properties. I strongly urge all professional and personal guests/travelers against investing in this property by staying there. Save your money and find another location that maintains their property. An absolute nightmare for a guest.
Upon check in I informed the front desk staff of the following:
1. Both toilets had severe cracks with mold around them (See pictures)
2. Stains everywhere on the carpet (if you can't spot treat a stain, are you even cleaning the carpets from prior guests?)
3. Holes on several corners of the walls
4. Air filter completely clogged, date on filter was May 2022, I checked in September 2022. After waiting 4 days after check in, the filter was changed. After it was changed, the filter vent was disgusting from all of the gunk that had dropped and they just changed the filter and left it for me to clean the dirt that went everywhere.
5. No phone in the room, I had to call the front desk through my cell phone for every item I needed or simple housekeeping questions. They brought in a phone, and then told me there was no dial tone. I waited 2 weeks and never got that fixed.
6. After a few days of staying, the back security door appeared to have been tampered with and the door lock had been removed. The door for the back of the hotel was then left open, posing a huge security risk, as anyone could walk right into the corridor for the back entrance to the hotel and right into guest quarters. I notified the front desk immediately, after 8 days it still was not fixed. This is an unacceptable safety concern.
7. Shower curtain in the second bathroom covered in mold, clearly never washed or cleaned.
The front line staff is not at fault here, every time I raised a concern again for unaddressed items, they stated they escalated this to management and the engineers for the property. Clearly the property management team doesn't understand the industry standard for maintaining guest cleanliness and safety at this property. After these issues went without resolution for 2 weeks, I found a separate hotel and checked out right away.
When I was showed another room to potential move too, I walked in and noticed that it was the same condition, stains all on the floor, toilets cracked and a horrible smell coming from the carpets. Hyatt Hotel Corporation should immediately step in as this property is ruining the brand. Hire more staff to assist the engineers and front

We booked for 6 nights for Xmas. The property is very old and so are the rooms. In arrival, we found the rooms to be very dusty and lacked basic supplies like lotions, utensils etc. Had to call many times to request for these things, yet some.of them never arrived. Daily cleaning and housekeeping were a major hassle. Till late afternoon, our rooms were not house kept. Kitchen garbage was daily left out, and we could notice carpet still being dirty. Even the common places were extremely dirty. Breakfast was another horror. Bread tasted sour, variety was limited. The lady at omelette was rude and did not care about the form. We almost gave up and decided to vacate early given the cleanliness and level of service. Please avoid this filthy place. Most of their staff is aged and has no interest in extending any hospitality. The front desk is good at faking it up though. Will NOT recommend to anyone.

Our stay at the Hyatt House Plymouth Meeting was an awesome place for our wedding party and guests. Richard in Group Sales was great to work with. He arranged our block of rooms, set up shuttles to and from the venue, ensured that the bride was able to check in early, and provided us with a room for our guests to enjoy breakfast the following morning. We also want to thank Saud who worked at the front desk and allowed us to drop off some items the day before. Saud was extremely pleasant and was constantly cleaning the lobby and area outside the hotel. He always had a smile on his face was eager to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. Additionally, I lost a bracelet which belonged to my mother and housekeeping found it and returned to me. The rooms are nice and large with a full size refrigerator, a sitting area, and bedrooms with private baths. A great rate for everything our guests needed to enjoy our family wedding. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. The first room had an unpleasant smell (mildew), however; the front desk gave us a new room that was a lot better and fresh smelling. When we returned the following night, we were in a different room and the room we checked in could have been cleaner (it was very dusty). Enjoyed having the bedroom and living/kitchen area separated with doors. kitchen was great to have.

I have to say that while I have always enjoyed my experiences at Hyatt House, the quality of customer service and value for money has deteriorated since the pandemic. I appreciate that the hotel enforces mask wearing and limits to elevator capacity, but aside from that, you are going to pay double what you would typically pay for less amenities and poor customer service. The best I can say is that the option for 1 or 2 bedroom rooms and pet friendly policies were bright spots in the experience.

I think as we're still coming out of the insanity of 'Covid', our expectations are being adjusted as we take into account that staff and employees of many businesses are stretched thin and overworked. The employees that ARE there are doing heroic jobs of keeping customers happy and the business, in business.
So, if the hotel needs a little sprucing up and there were some crumbs way back in the closet and the couch needed a blanket over it before sitting, that's ok. The room was very clean in general, the bed comfortable. Yes I brought my own pillows and cleaning wipes and sponges but I do that all the time anywhere anyway.
That said, the staff was great at being friendly, helpful, professional, problem solvers. The grounds were very nice and well kept, the hotel hallways and public spaces are a bit run down but very clean.
The atmosphere was quiet and laid back. Our room overlooked the pool area which I did not get to enjoy, but over 2.5 days I witnessed a variety of people hanging out in the pool and BBQ and fire pit area, all polite, all having fun. I would have had no problem being there at any time if I had been able to.
The location was perfect for where we needed to be and was so close to shops I think on a less hot day you could walk there and back.
Yes, we would stay there again. I expect as soon as they can get cosmetic repairs done the prices will go up.
And I hope management appreciates the very fine job Staff and Front Desk are doing.
PS- Go to Frank's Pizza right around the corner for the best pie.

I love that this hotel is set back from the street because it is very quiet. However, there are a lot of little things that need attention. Our bathroom sink didn’t have a stopper (but they will be forced to call a plumber when a guest drops something down the drain), one of the window shades didn’t work, the light on the microwave is out, the clock in the bedroom didn’t work, the vent in the kitchen area was beyond dusty, there was crud on the shelf in the shower, a panel on the television cabinet was broken (but made a great table for my coffee cup because there wasn’t anything like an end table or coffee table on which to set a drink), the electrical panel in the bathroom was pulling away from the wall, the door hook in the bathroom was broken off so there was only one lonely hook on which to hang towels. These are little things, I know, but they add up to someone not caring enough and a hotel that is lacking basic maintenance. And remember when staying at a hotel was a little luxury because someone made your bed and straightened your bathroom? Bygone days. Don’t even expect that service because they tell you upon checking in that housekeeping won’t be provided, but they will give you fresh towels if requested. I don’t mean to pick on Hyatt because all hotels are using Covid as an excuse to reduce amenities, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

The pool is open until 9pm. It is currently closed indefinitely based on state guidelines due to the COVID pandemic.
Our Pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, from 10am-10pm.
There is no evening social here in the sense that you get free drinks and snacks like many extended stay places. Just a happy hour at the bar.

Our weekday breakfast is served from 6:30am to 9:30am. Our weekend breakfast times are 7am to 10am.
Approx 34-45 minutes depending on traffic!
