Previously called Days Inn, the new and even better Mainstreet Inn is in historic Doylestown and near New Hope area attractions. Located in the heart of Doylestown, we are just minutes from everything you want to see in the area. We have a restaurant with a bar on the property which has a Comedy Cabaret Friday and Saturday evenings. We are on the main bus route, minutes from the train station and right down the road from the center of town. We always supply maps, attraction guides and plenty of information about the area. We try to make your stay away from home as comfortable as possible. We are a two story exterior access hotel. Plenty of free parking and Wi Fi as well as Free DayBreak Breakfast.

Detailed Reviews
Clean, convenient and congenial. The room was tidy, well kept and quiet, Right next to a good Mexican restaurant, The location was very walkable to a number of other places to eat, groceries, gas and a very short drive to Fonthill Castle and the Moravian Tile Works. Also about 7 mins to Mercer and Michener Museums. Pearl S Buck house about 15 min. Doylestown had lots of dining options and things to do. The staff at the hotel were all very nice and gave suggestions on dining. Would stay again.

We knew it would be no frills....BUT. Rooms are small and dated. We can live with that. The advertised soaking tub (not), hair dryer (nope) and 24 hour coffee (nada). The bed has to have been one of the cheapest ever made and was worse than uncomfortable. We were seriously unimpressed with the lidless overflowing trashcan just outside our door. The location is great, and this could be a really nice, quaint stop. Instead its being run as cheaply as possible (but this is not reflected in the price). We won't be back.

Staffing was great. Room was mediocre at best. Staff gave us new room, first room incredibly stuffy and smelled stale. Second room ok. No breakfast although not sure would've wanted to eat there anyway. Time to refresh this place. Until then, wouldn't recommend the stay.

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights, parking our car in their nicely paved lot. The welcoming owner checked my prepay and identification, then I signed a form and received our key cards.
We climbed the stairs to Room #249, wood-floored and clean with a comfortable king bed. Nice TV with many channels(local, CNN, CNBC, etc). Quick hot water in the nice bathroom, medium fridge, small coffee machine and effective but noisy AC.
We crossed to Panera/Weis Market, 1 block further to 1927 Aldie Mansion and in another direction, 2 long blocks to Fonthill Castle Park, then drove 1.5 miles to the Mercer Museum/Michener Art Museum.
Overall, a good night’s sleep in a great location.

Our room was clean. It is an old place. The hallways to the rooms are all outside, which they need to be cleaned. There is no breakfast. We went to a restaurant named Aunt Judy's. If in the area, I would recommend you eat there. It was a great meal at a reasonable price. The staff there are very friendly. Overall I am not sure I would stay here again.

Needed room urgently, they had one left. Nothing posh but beds v comfy, aircon worked, bathroom clean. Staff really friendly & helpful. Right next to Pocos Mexican Diner. On regular bus route. Two shopping malls just over the road. Motel so plenty of parking. Has all you need & nothing you don't.

My travel agent told me not to stay here and I didn't listen. Dirty, old and a staff that just doesn't get it. Was so freaked out that I left the lights on all night. Torn furniture, the toilet paper mounted down near the floor, no wifi even though they advertise that they do, the bed was hard and old, vending machine chocolate bar was old it was white and crumbled and the AC unit froze up over night so it was so hot I couldn't even put on my makeup the next monring.

First off the room was ok. If you pulled into the parking lot, and then closed your eyes and didn’t open them until you got to your room, it’d be alright. Beds were ok, cable TV selection was nice for the kids and provided a nice distraction when needed.
With that said this hotel feels like a $60 a night hotel right off of the interstate. I think we paid $120ish and it’s about double what it should be priced at.
We stayed in the deluxe rooms. The floor is warped and squeaky in parts. Bathroom door hinges need some grease because the squeak big time. The ice machine didn’t work during the length of our stay. Every time we got back to the hotel at night our keys had to be reprogrammed.
The two guys working the front desk were cordial and accommodating but looked like they’d rather be somewhere else and who could blame them. Not a dig on them because they were helpful.
There’s a Mexican restaurant attached to the front of the hotel that appears to be a popular joint but they’re known for their drinks and not their food so that’ll give you an idea on the condition of the people you may possibly run into.
Other guest staying at the hotel had some creepy vibes, again giving that interstate hotel feel.
We visit the area every other year and unfortunately based off of our experience Main Street Inn will no longer be on our list of places to stay due to cost, condition, and the other guests staying there.

While not a bad price, the roving bands of drunken guests make getting a good night sleep almost impossible. Calling the front desk resulted in the clerk basically telling me there was nothing he could do. There was a phone in the room, but not connected to anything; almost like a movie prop. They advertise free wi-fi but there is none. Oh yes, and the place suffered a major fire almost a year ago and it still isn't repaired. So you get to see rooms closed due to a fire and the fire alarm wires dangling from a box. Real secure feeling.

First, it was hard to find because there is no sign that says Days Inn. We had a room with 2 double beds....as usual, we check for bedbugs. Although we didn't see any, the mattress on one of the bed appeared to have dirt on it......couldn't sleep, kept thinking bugs were crawling all over me! The room also smelled like antiseptic. The next day my relatives who live in Doylestown said....omg, you stayed there!!!!! The price was good, but not good enough.

In regards to your review I am sorry that you had difficulty in locating us at the time we were transitioning to Days Inn had not yet recieved our sign. Occasionally we do have guests who stay at our establishment who find our cleaning product a tad strong. However the company we order from assures us that it is a great product. I hope that you will conisder us the next time you are in the Doylestown area.
