Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a king suite with full kitchen. Great space in living area. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast was great. Definitely a great place to stay with a family. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Right next door to a Starbucks and Rita’s.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite for us and friends for one night. The front desk attendant was very friendly and courteous during our late check in. The hotel was clean and comfortable and met all of our needs. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and small livingroom area with a pull out sofa and a fireplace. The bathrooms were well kept and everything was neat and tidy. The hotel was some minor imperfections, but if that doesn't bother you then you won't be disappointed. They also have a cool fireplace area outside with seating. I'd definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The beds are EXTREMELY hard. We have stayed in many Marriotts and I have never had a worse night's sleep. There is a continental breakfast in the morning which was nice so we could jump on the road quickly- there were eggs, frittatas, hard boiled eggs, sausage, belgian waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, english muffins, toast, cereal & milk, bananas, oranges, apples, coffee, juice and cold bottled waters (one of the more extensive breakfast selections!) The hallways are also EXTREMELY hot and muggy and smell like cigarettes and dog (it's dog-friendly, so to be expected I guess)

This was just an OK visit. The front desk staff seemed annoyed at my arriving with my dog and charged me the $75 Marriott fee for the one night I was going to be there with her. For this level of hotel, honestly a little insulting. There was apparent dog hair on the carpet of the room they put me in, so it was clearly a dog-friendly room that they didn't even bother to clean well between guests. So much for that $75 going to enhanced cleaning... other than that the room was just fair. The air conditioning make a rattling and dripping sound all night that made it hard to sleep, and the bed was far from the level of comfort I generally expect from a Marriott bed. The single best thing about this place was the proximity to the highway and the Starbucks literally right next door in the parking lot. Unpleasant staff that seemed annoyed each time I came to the counter really sealed the deal on this one. Had a delightful experience at a Hilton property a week later that's making me rethink my loyalty to Marriott properties.

We’ve attempted to stay here. Made reservations in advance. Called to inform them about a service animal. The manager stated a $75.00 fee would be associated with the service animal no matter what. Then I had in a previous call to them and they stated that there is no fee for ****proof**** that we have a service animal. So they are contradicting themselves. On top of that they were very rude and quick to get me off the phone. I contacted Marriott customer service to advise them of this and they could care less. The manager at customer service was quick to judge and sent a pointless link stating what qualifies as a “service dog”. My wife has PTSD and therefore her service dog comforts her quickly to calm her down.

As a result I have decided to notify anyone out there with a service dog to be aware that Marriott hotels do not honor this rule and charge you a fee. Why? Maybe they are hurting and will squeeze anything out of you penny by penny to pay for their employees when their hotels are vacant.

I’m very disappointed to learn this and tell anyone to avoid this or fight it.

Marriott could care less and should be ashamed of themselves. Especially during the pandemic. One would think hotels will do anything to get people in and stay. But residence inn and Marriott are cold hearted and greedy and don’t think the rules apply to them.

Although the hotel and rooms are nicely laid out, the cleanliness is terrible. We have a two bedroom suit. My main complaint is the rooms were dirty! In one room the air duct was filthy with large globs of dust hanging out. The air duck was on a side wall above the floor so it would be very easy to use a vacuum hose to clean it periodically. There were also cobwebs in the lower corners of the room. The lamp on the desk was sticky and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The vanity light would not stay on. In the main room, the sofa and chair were dirty and stained.

We stayed here for one night and had to switch rooms because of the absolute pungent mold smell. So bad that it could be considered a toxic health hazard, everywhere you walk. There was no change when moved to the second floor. The front desk told us that there was a flood and it was treated. But this was bad, and honestly this Residence Inn should be closed and remediated/remodeled. Every floor and room, carpet, lobby and eating area, every vent especially in the stairwells. We left as soon as we could the next morning, sick with headaches and a sinus infection.

The reviews of pleasantries and cleanliness have to be written by employees or management. As soon as you walk into any door on the property, the smell rips right through you.

We don’t normally leave reviews, however we read them before we book hotels and this wasn’t mentioned. If it was we wouldn’t have stayed here. So we are mentioning it now for future travelers.

Dear Supermano2024, We are very sorry to hear about your recent stay with us. Unfortunately we did not live up to your or our standards during your last visit. I sincerely apologize for your stay. We take this very seriously so please reach out directly to the hotel so that we can get a report put together for your recent visit. We fortunately have never had a flood here so I am not sure what was said by our associate. Again please reach out to the hotel so that I can assist you with this.

Solid Residence Inn for a one night stay while passing through. I agree the hotel is in need of a renovation and is a little worn around the edges but everything was in working order and was clean and the staff were friendly. Mostly quiet but you could hear some road noise. You can't beat the price for the amount of space you get and with a full kitchen. The hotel is a little convoluted to get to from the turnpike but shouldn't be an issue. Mostly fast food options in the area and many close by 9 PM so be aware of that. Breakfast was well stocked and good. My only issue was I couldn't get the thermostat to have constant fan which I like to do for white noise. Not sure if it was set to not do that or if it wasn't working correctly. The battery did way it was low. Also, be aware they charge $5 a night for parking which is ridiculous with a suburban hotel like this. They have an enormous parking lot and everyone who stays at this hotel obviously drives to it so this is nothing but a cash grab.

First the good stuff. Staff friendly, willing to go extra mile. Beds were comfortable. Two bedroom suite with full kitchen had great advantage for our stay.

However, this is a hotel that needs a physical overhaul. The rooms are dated and show wear and tear, including a broken window in the living room. It took three times recoding the keys before they would work (but staff did a great job working with us). The kitchen was missing silverware (quickly replaced by staff). Generally, the place is showing its age.

2 bedroom suite. Looks like this was a great room before being ragged out by visitors and not kept up with. Smooth check in, good first impression, typical Covid-19 crappy bagged breakfast....then you notice it.
The nastiness everywhere.
In every part of the suite is the need for attention apparent. Disrepair is just the beginning...filth is everywhere. Kitchen sticky...making sucking noises walking over. I'm a guy, so easy to brush off, but wife seriously skeeved out. Late check in, so went and got cleaning supplies and did myself rather than deal with housekeeping.
Suggest management addresses deficiencies on a sweeping scale.
