We were disappointed with the placement of our room. Based on previous experience with thinness of walls and floors, we asked for a room on top floor away from work out room due to noise. We were told they would try to accommodate this. Placed on 2nd floor in middle of crew of workers and first night person next door snored so loudly had to use ear plugs. Not hotels fault but based on cars in lot less to 1/4 full. Second day discovered we were right above the workout room and thumping of treadmill and loudness of TV person was watching was very disruptive that evening and the next. Person above us woke us at 5:30 with heavy footfall and walking back and forth. Breakfast very sparse but we expected that. Coffee has improved.
Maybe you can the go relax in the lobby then, right? NO. The lobby smells like old raw chicken and makes my family want to vomit.
The front desk person was very gracious and nice and the housekeeping was exceptional.
In recent visits (and following a change in management), we’ve noticed a remarkable downward slide in the quality of the housekeeping, particularly in the common areas. We understand that many of the guests work on construction crews and track in dirt from their sites, but the mud and dirt in the reception, breakfast area, elevator, hallways and stairwells was not cleaned up over the 4 days we were here this time. We have noticed unkempt areas here on previous visits too. At checkout today, I brought it to the attention of the managers but was met with such indifference that my husband and I made the decision stay elsewhere next time we return to the area.
The first appearance in the lobby area definitely does not make a good presentation for guests and the lack of attention from front desk personnel especially hurts the reputation of the Wyndham chain.
"You won't be sorry you booked here. Also Sals restaurant is close by (walkable) good Italian food. "Read full review
"Be sure to ask for a nonsmoking room if it's important- hallways smelled of vaping/pot when we got there, but room was odorless."Read full review
