Detailed Reviews
I was concerned that this hotel had deteriorated since our last stay, based on recent reviews. However, our experience was quite good. Our room was clean & had everything we needed - comfortable bed, good tv, big bathroom sink, good shower, lots of outlets for charging electronics. We knew that the restaurant was closed so I brought oatmeal to make in the microwave. The hotel is very close to Pitt Race, which was our reason for being there. The desk clerk was very helpful - he got us regular blankets since we don't like comforters, as well as enough towels to last us during our stay.

Staying here last fall while racing at nearby Pittsburgh International Raceway, we made this reservation soon after to assure easy access to the track and a comfortable room close by. While our room in (newer?) "King's Court" section was clean and very comfortable, we thought everything else only adequately maintained and appealing. Hallways are brightly lighted, there is a very nice pool and full bar and evening dining (5pm-9pm, bar open until 10pm). Room keys needed for building access at our end of the property, but middle section door was never locked and not even latched. Not good. Breakfast covered the basics: hot (egg omelets, sausage, oatmeal) and cold (cereal, toast, bagels, danish, donuts, cereal) available every day but hours of 7am-10am which was a little late for some travelers. That area was a little grim, dark and poorly laid out. Housekeeping only every third day which has become the norm everywhere, but we were able to get all fresh towels and room coffee (better than lobby coffee, btw) on request. Bathroom and guest room very clean and comfortable. Exterior and parking areas a little rough. Lobby is spacious and staff was courteous, welcoming and helpful. We would stay again for easy access to the track and turnpike, and we would recommend to others with only the above opinions. Price was right.

Generally, I love staying at Ramada Inn's. This particular hotel met all my expectations, for a budget friendly place to stay. Beds were super comfy and didn't have an issue with noise at the hotel. The only downside was that the pool was out of order the one day. Also, we were under the impression that there was continental breakfast, but when we checked in there was a sign that said the breakfast was $4.95/person. Decided not to eat breakfast there, so I can't review that. The shower had great pressure, but took a few minutes for the water to get warm. Overall the room was very clean.

Where do I start? We were told our group would have a full breakfast, we did not have a full breakfast, we had still frozen bagels, english muffins and a few pasteries, if you wanted oatmeal, you had to heat it up in a Paper Cup, they were totally unprepared. The banquet food was cold when we got it, some people waiting 20 minutes or more to get it. The waiters were the front desk lady, a maintenance man, and not sure what the third person did for a job, not dressed as waiters. Did not offer tea or coffee or dessert after dinner. I almost had mine in my lap when it was delivered to me. Table cloths looked like they had just been taken out of the dryer and thrown in a heap on the floor.

I apologize that you were under the impression you were having a full breakfast. We do not usually have any breakfast at all due to covid, and for your group we set up the normal free continental that we serve. Coffee and tea were available all throughout the dinner, so I'm not sure why you were not able to get any. I am sorry you had a bad experience. We do hope you come again and give us a chance to exceed your expectations.

At the nearby racetrack for four days, we were happy to find something this nice this close. Friendly staff at all levels (desk, housekeeping and food service), spacious, quiet and comfortable room, very nice bedding and towels, easily-controlled HVAC, good lighting and plenty of outlets and USB ports. Clerk advised us our area of building might have a slight wait time for hot water and we appreciated the notice: was not an issue. As is true these days with nearly all hotels, housekeeping service is only as requested, and we had no trouble switching out towels and making our own bed! Bar server was efficient and friendly despite being the only one working, prices were fair, menu options covered all the bases. The pool and outdoor lounge area is beautiful...wish we'd had time to spend there. I believe there is a breakfast buffet for an upcharge but again, we did not have the time this trip. Friends who did partake said it was very good. Parking is plentiful, access directly off the highway. Lobby was welcoming (automatic doors are so great) and decorated for the season. We return in the spring for another function and have already made our reservation.

Sewage/rotten garbage smell throughout. Broken elevator.Keys didn't work 2x. Told maintenance would come up. 30 min later no show. Went back to front desk, clerk said maintenance there and ley worked fine. Clerk entered wrong room #. Phone broken. Carpet worn, ripped and filthy throughout. This place has a horrible stench throughout the entire building. Very much an old and outdated bldg that needs upgraded and major repairs need to be made. Poor mgmt. Manager refused to give any type of discount on our room for the major inconvenience and did not even offer an apology. The Super 8 is far nicer and much cheaper!

I looked forward to arriving this facility due to the wonderful memories over the years. I was visiting family and for my 50th class reunion. Needless to say, over the years, people's needs change. Upon making reservations, I had made this clear, my sister was unable to walk freely at the hotel. I asked for walk-in shower, (she cannot lift her hip due to recent surgery), room on ground level, poolside.
Upon receiving my reservations, I once again called to ensure my sister would have appropriate access. I called when we were driving into the hotel, to make sure we had appropriate access once again.
Upon arriving, the room on the ground level had a tub, was the furthest room in walking distance. My sister was so tired, I got a wheelchair which was totally scrounge. Then because we were afraid of her lifting her hip/knee to get into the tub, I went back and rediscussed this again.
The hotel clerk, put us in a room on the second floor, but it still had a tub and only one bed. My sister Was waiting in the second area and called me to tell me she was scared due to the lock being broken and anyone was coming in and out of the elevator door area. I ran to put her back outside. The clerk was nice, yes, but she didn’t know what the rooms had, looked at sheets, but continued to make mistakes in choices to place my sister and I.
I made six trips from the furthest room, 342, back to the registration desk due to the key card did not work. She reprinted them three times, finally she came with me the fourth time. It was discovered the so-called pool-side (which it was NOT!) door did not work due to failed batteries in that door. She said it would be repaired—it was NOT repaired the whole time we were there.
I had to use the scrounging wheelchair to get her back and forth due to the distances. At least, she could walk into the shower. Why in the world would remodeling start on the third floor taking out bathtubs which were so ancient.
I am so amazed and terrorized by the hotel—NO—will never mention that hotel to anyone, due to the bad memories. My sister was so unhappy and we just cannot believe the deterioration. There is no icemaker on each floor because no one is fixing the plumbing. The clerk made the excuse “the ice makers are used too much.” WHAT? We arrived for breakfast at 9:30, waited for 15 minutes for any food to show up. Others were complaining who were waiting also. fake eggs to eat. The person heading to the kitchen said, “Well it is close to 10:00.” I said, “We arrived at 9:30, and others want food also.” There is not anything out there! NUTS!

The property was previously a Holiday Inn and we thought with the rebranding to Wyndham that it would have been upgraded. The hotel is tired and dirty. Overall condition was appalling. The chair in our room was literally in shreds. The hallways were dingy and noisy. The hotel laundry area was open to the hallway and the machines were all running trying to keep up with the guests' demands for towels. The breakfast room was filthy. The coffee was terrible and the selection of food was weak.. In addition the parking lot is overburdened with gravel and dirt with large potholes. I can't believe that Wyndham put their name on this property without doing a complete overhaul. We chose this over the Microtel because of the Wyndham / Ramada brand. What a mistake!

We have stayed here repeatedly since it's close to Pitt Race. The room is satisfactory but we had some issues. The bathroom is poorly lit, making it hard to shave etc. The shower is fine. Our backs hurt when we woke up so I think the mattress is at fault. We ate in the restaurant one morning but it was a pretty miserable offering, particularly since they charge $6 during the week & $9 on weekends. The breakfast offerings were not as good as other medium priced lodgings that offer free breakfast - only two cereal choices; no bananas, no toast. We had breakfast in our room the other two days we were there, with food we purchased at a local grocer. One night we were awakened by people running down the hall & banging on doors.

Very dirty and dated….I wore flip flops the entire time I was in my room as to not touch the carpet which was gross.
Missed the entrance to the hotel because there is no hotel sign….I drove by thinking it was the back entrance and had to flip a u -turn and go back.
Breakfast on Monday morning was pitiful…Rice Krispies box expired in 2019….no hot food.
Employees serving food UNvaccinated and NOT wearing masks nor social distancing.
No channel guide in room for TV and front desk didn’t have one either.
Tree fell months ago on glass roof in dining area and still there!

We're sorry and apologize for your unexpected experience and appreciate the notes for reference. We are working diligently to restore our hotel's amenities to a consistent and sustainable brand mandated level. Please know that we're still faced with limited resources and support staff during a painfully slow travel recovery in the aftermath of the pandemic. We do however, look forward to accommodating you on your next visit to the area for a better stay and the opportunity to earn a better review.
