Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We camped there for 3 nights in July 2014. The spaces by the water are tiny, tiny so we moved up to the hill. The spaces on top are labeled to be very confusing. I have never camped some place where the number in your site is really the space next to you.Supposedly an arrow points to the site next door. So you really don't know the number of your site unless you look at your neighbors hookup. A RVer 3 spaces down from us used the wrong hookup because he didn't know either which was suppose to be his electric and sewer hookup. There was a grassy area that friends setup a tent on next to us because it wasn't labeled a site. Unfortunately, the resort tried to charge us. I told the lady at the checkin booth that we were moving after the first night because we had friends with a tent and didn't want to pay $42 for a tent site plus our sight. The management never came around until the second evening our friends were there with their tent. They were insistant we pay for the sloped spot because it was a site. We refused so, at 8pm our friends were forced to leave. That morning Carl came to talk to us. We were told Carl is the manager. He was scary. He screamed at us (very unprofessional). I walked away because he looked so angry that he could hit us. We calmly walked away and packed up. He said never come back and we assured him we won't. Reasonal management and signage that is clear would make this a nicer place. We enjoyed the pool and spa.

For full disclosure, I am a member in this park. This park is in terrible shape and needs lots of general maintenance. The road down into the park is in terrible shape and is dangerous for big RV's. The power in the front row keeps tripping the breakers and won't stand much use - certainly not air conditioning. The washers and dryers are way too old, half the time don't work, and are dirty and filthy to use. The exterior of the lower clubhouse needs to be painted and weather treated. The roof has lots of moss and should be cleaned and treated. The marina docks are dangerous as the flotation is missing in several locations and so it is very bouncy when you walk on it. The maintenance bldg and the managers house are very shabby and should be torn down or at least totally remodeled and painted. And yes, the manager is as bad as other reviews have said. I have no idea what he does over the winters, during the non-busy times, as the condition of the park looks as bad, or worse at the beginning of the summer as it did in the fall. All of this is just the short list. A much longer list would be easy to compile. The owners of the park are of no help as they are only interested in fattening their wallets and apparently not in maintaining the park as it should be.

This RV park is a little below average in general but it sort of serves a niche market. There is access to the water so it does make getting a boat out to fish relatively easy. That said, the condition of the sites is 'rustic', a term which I am using to indicate that things aren't in good repair. Trees overgrow sites, there is trash about, the sewer system shows evidence of periodic failure, and there is limited parking. That's a start. I stayed in the upper area so I'll only go into greater detail regarding that. The pool and hot tub were actually in pretty good shape. The bathroom seemed clean. I didn't go in the clubhouse or use the WiFi. I kind of ended up here as a late arrangement to meet some family in the area. I booked on line through a site that is headquartered out of Washington. Everything was electronic. When I got to the park to check in, they had limited information about me. The day before I checked out, I was visited five times by park employees (the first I'd seen of them since check-in), three by a pleasant enough 'message deliverer' and two by the self-identified park manager. The issue was that the manager was sure that I was supposed to be checked out. As this was all electronic, I didn't have a physical copy of my receipt and neither did he. I brought out my laptop to show him the dates that I'd paid for. He insisted that according to his spreadsheet I was supposed to be gone. I asked him to wait until we could contact the office in Washington where I'd made the reservation to get it straight. He left, then came back a short time later to show me the spreadsheet with highlighting, as though this had become some sort of a contest of wills. Our disagreement got a little vigorous and he departed with neither of us pleased with the result. The next morning, I called the office in Washington and confirmed that I was correct in my calculations of the date of departure. They said that they would phone the manager and inform him. I did not see this gentleman out of his vehicle again although he passed through the campground a few times as we were preparing to depart. I feel confident in saying that I will not likely seek space at this park again.

This place would have so much potential if the owners would put in the money, but they don’t. It’s open to the public where it should only be members only you cannot reserve a space you have to go and pick one out. The roads are crappy. The swimming pool is never filled. Washer and dryers are crappy, they just don’t care anymore

What a joke! We made reservations back in the spring for a class A 45 ft rv towing on the water for a week. When we arrived we were told to go find a place and let them know where we were. Most spots were taken by (members) that live there all the time! Found a place on the second level but the 30 amp was bad. No place to park the Jeep. No place to sit outside! Only 46 inches between our coach and neighbor! Could not have awning out and no place to set our grill up! The road in is a disaster!
Someone is sucking this park dry! No money being spent on any upkeep! So sad as it could be much better if all the live ins were not there and make room for others! Miserable week! We will not return!

If you think this place is a Resort think again. Over priced dirty hole. Pool was empty was full of leaves. No TV. Extremely poor wifi. Dirty smelly industrial bin out front of our Cabin. Blackberry bush growing on the deck. If we hadn't prepaid we would have done a runner

This campground has seen better days. The pics they display on their website must be at least 10 years old. This place is really run down since the pics were taken. Most of the amenities listed do not even exist. No fire pits, Pools and hot tubs closed for the year? No cable, no Wifi. There was only 1 site available that would fit our trailer. I called the day before we arrived to ask a couple questions - no return call.

First of all, we have been members since the middle of the '90s. The first 10-12 years were awesome! Clean, well maintained MEMBERS ONLY park. In the last 5 years, give or take, it's fallen into horrible disrepair. From the rotting docks, broken rv poles and sewer vent pipes to the dangerously rotting upper clubhouse deck, this place is a dump. WEEDS are out of control as are the pine bushes in the RV sites near the upper clubhouse. The laundry facility is dirty, old and the machines rarely work. The roadways are falling apart....literally. 4"-6" deep sections (NOT potholes!) of roadway falling away. The upper clubhouse has 2 pools, but only the large 'adult pool' is open because the manager says he doesn't have time to open the 'family' pool. He's simply too lazy!

And now, the website that USED to be for members, is a reservation system for the PUBLIC! Not reciprocal members...THE PUBLIC!

Maintenance is horrible except in the restrooms. Management has no people skills. Parts of the park have potential dangers exposed. Run down and in disrepair.

Booked this place on website, only place available for holiday weekend. Arived at place, no one to check us in. Trailer out front with sign on it to call, we called, no response from anyone, we had to sleep in our car. In parking lot of local shopping center. This place is a old trailer park, there is no pool, there is a bunch of trash, cars, trailers on property, plus a bunch of moter homes. Plus a dock. Nothing like website said it would be like.

There is such potential but the owners just don't care. There are three levels to the park. We were on the middle level. There was no room between sites and we couldn't even put our awning out. The 30 amp electrical service went out if we used even 19 amps. When the temperature hit 90 the whole level's electricity went out. After it came back on several of us had to use our generators to avoid continual shut offs. At one point the rv next to us had five cars and three tents on the tiny public grass area. They had over ten people on a single site and no one stopped them. We couldn't even get our car near our rv without asking them to move. There were no assigned sites, even though we had reservations and paid $402.50 for ten days in advance. You were expected to find a spot that was open, even if it was inappropriate. One couple was expected to put their pop up on a site that had a power pole support cable cutting the site in half. There were spider webs covering the windows in the laundry room. In short, we would never consider going back to this park.
