The lobby and breakfast area were new and clean but not the room and halls. We had a suite and it was small. The door to the room did not shut unless really pushed so be careful leaving the room. Breakfast was pretty good with COVID limitations in place. You could get a grab and go or eggs, potatoes and Bacon/sausage. You ordered and they brought it out. You could get orange juice and bacon with either option. Mary Ann was very pleasant serving breakfast. We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our trip and one on the return. The last night they did not have the room we reserved so we had a regular room. Hotel is near restaurants. The last night two or the 4 lights in bathroom were burned out making it very dark. There was an option to have dinner at the hotel also but we went out.…
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn before and after a week in the Yucatán. The hotel was great, and we were particularly pleased to be able to leave our car for the week as part of the deal. It was not covered parking, but it was a welcome relief to come back to a good night’s sleep and our waiting vehicle. Staff and facilities were excellent, the restaurant made us a great burger, and regulating the room temp was easy. What more could we ask from a hotel?
This place was WAY over priced. Dirty- pee around the base of the toilet & mold on the ceiling. The TV didn't have a guide so when we called down to the front desk to ask about it he said "start at 00 and work your way up" on the way "working the way up" we found a tv guide (channel 30 if you get the inconvince of staying here). We paid $350+ for this room and it's not worth it at all.
Staff goes out of their way to help with anything; the physical structure is clean as are the rooms. No problems at all. The staff went out of their way to assist travelers and provide heat relief for them, as well as being understanding of the weather issues.
This HGI failed on multiple levels: the mask rule was not enforced; the staff members were discourteous; the breakfast was terrible (raw eggs, overcooked home fries, no coffee/juice on several mornings) and the “grab and go” was not available for several days; the hotel was filthy with trash in the hallways for several days; no antibacterial wipes in the gym—I usually prefer Hilton hotels but will avoid this one in the future!
