We stayed in the motel “inn”. Everything was clean and it felt clean. No carpet, which was great. Free slippers and above average toiletries. But the room needed blackout curtains to have adequate privacy. Also a mini fridge and microwave would be nice. The location is great for Portland because you’re close to many good restaurants and gardens, but also have free parking with your stay.
I booked a room here and it had water damage, ants, and black stains on the ceiling. Neither the kitchen nor the bathroom was clean. For example, the dishes in the cabinet were covered in old food and grease. The fridge had crumbs and stains inside with ants crawling all over the outside. The bath tub and toilet had hairs all over them. I told two different people I had a problem with the room and the second time I complained that person handed me cleaning supplies. The first person basically told me there was nothing he could do about the cleanliness or water damage, but he would let maintenance know. He also said it was ant season, so I basically had to tough it out. So on my vacation I had to clean the room I was in so that it was tolerable. Booking.com and the manager refuse to do more than refund me $50. I have called management several times and I've been put on hold and ignored. You're better off staying at a big name hotel and paying whatever the difference in price is because the quality of the room and service aren't worth the couple of dollar you're "saving" by staying here.…
We choose this mid range price hotel with a kitchenette near Nob Hill and Washington park. We knew it was an older property and it was relatively clean. We appreciated how easy it was to walk to many areas as we explored Portland. We slept rather well, only one night was there a lot of noise - related to a soccer game. The parking is tight and a couple of nights we had to park across the street at their sister property and one night we had to park on the street. We were most impressed by the staff - everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful.
This was the best choice for me and my two dogs. We had a king suite, which was HUGE, including a smallish kitchen that was fine for my needs. Good bed! I love that you can walk out the door and be walking in Washington Park within a few blocks. Be aware that parking is really tight in the lot, but the lot across the street, also owned by this hotel, had lots of space. Super friendly staff. So here's the best part--the walls are super thick and made of brick. I heard no noise, which was a blessing. Our room was tucked in a corner, with neighbors on only one side. Very quiet and peaceful. Thanks!!! I'll be back.
Worst hotel ever. The bed was broken, the AC made noise all night and the walls are paper thin so we could hear EVERYONE’S business at 5am. One of the worst nights of sleep I’ve ever had. Not to mention, the front desk dude was unprofessional and rude. Their policy includes a $100 hold on your bank account until your stay is over, which is ridiculous and unnecessary. Not worth the price for the location.
