McMenamins Hotel Oregon

Traveller (150)

On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel.

My husband and I did a couples getaway weekend and had an amazing stay in the beautiful Hotel Oregon! This place is way too cool for the dull downtown McMinnville! We loved our beautiful little room and it was amazing to have no television in the room! We had and incredible

We'd never been to Hotel Oregon or McMinnville so upon arrival we were thrilled with its charm, our room, the beautiful autumn day, the fact that at the last moment we had decided to drive up from Eugene and spend my birthday at a new McMenamins (for us). We love our McMenamins

I do apologize for the disappointing night of sleep. I am not sure why the city decided that Saturday morning was the day to pressure wash the sidewalks. I will reach out to them to see why this needed to happen. We do have rooms that tend to be quieter, and I would suggest requesting one of them. The downtown area does tend to be rather busy late into the night. I do hope you choose to come visit us again. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to me at danic@mcmenamins.com Cheers- Dani Chisholm Hotel Oregon Property Manager

On my 1st date with the "Love of my Life", Beth took me here and we went at night when it was dark. She took me to the rooftop where they had inside dining, along with outside dining and we sat outside. It was so ROMANTIC and never has a woman ever done anything like this for me

We booked two nights at Hotel Oregon and were given room #406 which is on the top floor of this old hotel. The second night it rained and we had a leak in the ceiling coming from the sprinkler head in front of the door in the room. The leak fell on the person entering or leaving

Hello Paul, I am so sorry that you had to deal with this leak situation, this is very unfortunate. I am also very disappointed that you were misinformed about the condition of your room and the hotel. This is not a normal occurrence for our hotel. As you can expect with a 113 year old building, maintenance issues and leaks do come up on occasion. Please rest assured that we take these situations seriously and address them as soon as possible. The leak that you encountered is now fixed and there is no mold in the ceiling above, I have personally been up in the crawlspace myself. I would like to make this right with you. Please email me dierectly at amcmurry@mcmenamins.com Regrets, Alex McMurry Hotel Manager Hotel Oregon

How is the parking
Hi Greeleyj, Thank you for your interest in McMenamins Hotel Oregon! There is free 2 hour parking surrounding the hotel as well as a 10 minute unloading zone on the Evans street side. For long term parking we recommend the free 24 hour parking structure located 2 blocks north on the corner of 5th and Evans St. Cheers, Alex McMurry Interim Property Manager McMenamins Hotel Oregon

Yes, it's also the tallest building with a rooftop view of wine country. A great location for your visit. Enjoy!

I'm so sorry for the late response, the Rooftop Bar allows minors until 9pm. After that we move to 21 and over. Thanks, Owen C Hotel Operations.

"Ask for a selection of quiet rooms."
"Bed in #406 was uncomfortable. Be sure your ice bucket is clean since it was used to collect rain leak that likely had mold in the ceiling."
"Some rooms overlook the main street, which is noisy during the evening. East or west facing rooms might be quieter"
"Book early as the best rooms go fast."
"Ask for a room with a bathroom, ask for a big room, bring earplugs. They provide them, but they are hard and stiff."
