Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

stayed here for two nights while visiting family. The room was clean, beds comfy. It's older and basic, but worked for my purpose. Only thing...bring your own shampoo! There is no shampoo and the bars of soap are really tiny....Grocery store next door solved that problem. Restaurant and bar attached to property which is convenient. I would stay there again

We've been coming to Lakeside Lodge for the last 5 years. It faces the lake..... Very peaceful. It's a fisherman's dream....has marina/ dock. You need to book up in the summer months.
Lakeside has a nice restaurant - facing the lake. The owners Alice & Darren are always around making sure things/ guests are taken care of. They have the same staff pretty much since we've been coming. Everyone is very friendly.

We have stayed here a couple of times. Tenmile lake is right out the back door and beautiful. The element that hangout around the hotel made my review lower. The rooms were mostly clean. I never used the coffee maker and styrofoam cups because a spider had made them its home. Our room was so hot, we were on the bottom floor, however we did not have a screen on the sliding door so we could not open because of bugs & the security concerns around the "element". I did ask for a fan which was supplied. Since we were there to fish we toughed it out. Not sure we will stay again.

My husband and I, and our daughter and son-in-law stayed over the 4th of July weekend. We weren't sure what to expect since we knew there were new owners and Oregon was recently coming back from Covid. We were pleasantly surprised. Older lodge right on 10-mile lake which is just beautiful! We had adjoining rooms and each had their own balcony's. All of the rooms have a view of the lake. There was a bar & pool table downstairs and karaoke was going on our first night. There's also a restaurant downstairs which was convenient. For the 4th of July there was a cook out with burgers, hot dogs and sides right out by the lake. Also a DJ. There was a firework display from a barge on the lake which was beautiful and we had a great view from our balcony. The lodge is a little old fashioned but some updates had been done. Like a flat screen TV, nice sliders onto the balcony, and the rooms were a nice size. I thought you got a lot of bang for your buck. You could pay more for a modern hotel (but you won't find one on the lake) but you won't have the view. In addition, there was a nice grocery store that was open every day within less than a five minute walk away. There's a marina right next door where you can rent a pontoon or fishing boat. Close by are sand dunes that you can climb and hike to. If you want to explore more of the coast there's several interesting places that are easy to drive to including a light house, beautiful gardens, or Florence, Oregon. I would also like to add that the towels were clean & white and thick and instead of those tiny little bits of soap most hotels/motels have they offer a nice big bar that fits in your whole hand of Ivory soap which was great. The staff were very friendly. And, I would stay here again! You should know that as I said they are coming out of Covid and many businesses were just starting to open up again and they have new owners. So, keeping that in mind you might have a wait in the restaurant and bar, but the staff were friendly and deserve some consideration as they get back on their feet.

The Lakeside Lodge has new owners that put a lot of hard work and money into improving the entire property. The dock and ramp have been repaired, new paint and landscaping. Activities such as concerts, games Etc. The food is good and the prices are excellent. The new enclosed patio seating gives you a great view of the lake. I’m so happy that new owners have improved this beautiful place

My husband is a bass fisherman, and has been coming to this beautiful lake for a long time. We have endured the past difficulties because this place offered a dock and the ability to walk down to his boat to catch a few hours of fishing. However, the dock has fallen into massive disrepair - the weeds need to be dredged out as they prevent the majority of the berths from being used. the couple of possibly usable ones don't have a cleat to tie the boat to. This weekend we found out that the electricity is out to the dock.... the final nail in the coffin.
There is no way we will pay the price for a 2 star hotel, with inexperienced staff who seem to call the owner constantly for help. Can't locate a key to open the door out to the docks, room key cards never seem to work, refunding our money when we gave up was granted (thank you for that) but the process was new and unknown to the front desk.
I know the owners here are new and, hopefully, have plans to upgrade. I hope so because it's a beautiful lake and could be a great resort if they are willing to give time, attention and investment $$ into resurrecting it. If they don't, it will become just another seedy and depressing dilapidated coast hotel. Makes us sad, we have many memories of our times here.

This place has new owners and they are making awesome changes! The clam chowder is the best I have had on the coast and I try it everywhere. Not too thick, not loaded with potatoes, buttery, and lots of yummy clams. Breakfasts are awesome! The dinner entrees and specials change with my favorites being the prime rib, usually only on Friday and Saturday, and the chef salad! It is not fast food but the owners and staff are very friendly and try to make your visit enjoyable. As with most places right now, they are always looking for help and sometimes have to make due with who they have available. They have named the restaurant Manny's at the Lodge. The views of the lake are beautiful and they even have a nice lawn for special occasions like weddings. They just recently updated all of the rooms, lobby and bar. The interior areas are very nice now. One of the biggest draws to this place is that they are on the new Lakeside ATV route, which means you can bring your sand toys including side by sides and ride to the dunes right from your room! If that is not for you can just relax and fish from their dock or bird watch.

Been going there on fishing trips over 20 years, 2-3 times a year. Last 2 years been a significant decline in food service, used to be a waiting line for breakfast not any longer. Change of ownership has taken place and have noticed improvement in rooms ,exterior appeal, upgrading overall, please keep it going. As for convenience its perfect! Boat launch, mooring docks, tackle shop / marina. Walk across parking lot to grocery store, liquor store, other places to eat if desired. Recommend not staying in "VIP" Room , stayed twice never got any sleep because it's above the bar. Bar is great too!

I woke up to ants all over my unopened box of donuts the desk next to tv and the a trail on the floor. I went to the office and explained what happened and they called over the maintenance man (Mike?) He handed me an almost empty can of hot shot ant killer and said he would go get more. Never saw him again. I sprayed the desk and floor and wiped it down with soapy water. Day 2 I woke up to even more ants on my night stand, in my cup of water and on my pillow. I felt sick to my stomach. Packed up early checked out and was told they couldnt give me a discount. I paid $436 for 2 nights. Not a way to treat your guests

We stayed here to go to the sand dunes nearby.
The room itself was very simple, quiet, and clean. It had a sliding door to a small back porch, which had access to a big grassy area beside Tenmile Lake. We went to the bar our first night in and had some drinks and traditional Filipino food and enjoyed socially-distanced conversation with some locals.
We also had breakfast in the dining area, beautiful view of the lake, wonderful waitress, great food.
Some cob-webs here and there, but it's the building itself is a piece of history. Overall it was a fun experience and we would stay here again.

Note that at 6 pm on Tuesdays there is a test tsunami warning that goes off.
So don't be alarmed if you're there on a Tuesday evening and hear it.
