Detailed Reviews
We stayed in the Country Manor cabin. I had to wet paper towels to stick to the bathroom window so the neighbors couldn’t see inside. A simple curtain would solve the problem. The furniture is gross. A new couch would do wonders. The cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were pleased with how quiet the park was. The food in the Pub was good and fair priced. Staff throughout the park were friendly and professional. Location was close to the Dunes and nearby towns. We didn’t go out onto the lake but there were many enjoying boating with a nearby boat ramp.

We stayed 2 nites at this RV park in the trapper cabin. The cabin is dated and in need of updating. Cleanliness questionable. The park itself is a good location to oregon dune riding and fishing. Pub and Pizza has a good cheeseburger but the pizza is not so good which was disappointing pub is understaffed. I would not stay here again.

the park is under new ownership. on the north end are all the "long term" people, and the rest of the camp is set up for regular in and out campers. The WIFI here is HORRIBLE, but the new owner says they are going to improve it. The pub has good food. Overall, tho, it is a decent place. Not that many shade trees if that is what you are looking for.

It sounds like you overall enjoy your time here, John, but I am sorry that the wifi has been frustrating. We're definitely looking to improve it and I appreciate you bearing with us in the meantime. I know you and I talked personally and the Wi-Fi has had improvements just recently to include a High Fiber line and new equipment. Things have improved and we are investing in the resort everyday. Tks John. Best, Chris and Stefani, Owners

as we were staying a month we were put by permanent residents. Grass and weeds overgrown with lots of junk stashed around them. In less than 1 hour we had cats and a dog running loose at our site. The smell of marijuana was in the air most of visit. Office staff were pleasant and helpful.
Now as for the pub it was a joke. We ate there our first night. Over 1 hour for our food and mediocre at best. Beer prices were reasonable with happy hour every day. Bartender/Mgr complained constantly how over worked and under staffed she was. Customer service was not her priority and couldn't multi task. Very few in bar and she would focus on wiping behind bar or chopping limes than wait on people.
Kitchen was very small and unequipped to handle orders. Nothing fresh or home made. Pizza dough out of a pkg and jars or canned for toppings.
Owner obviously doesn't put money out for any updates.
Laundry room had 8 washers and dryers. Very hard to find any available. They have cabins they rent out and cleaning staff use it. Not removing loads when finished.
We will be back to the area just not there.

Stayed last year, was great except for dog do. People really need to clean up after their dogs. That hasn't changed much but they have changed in other ways. About half of RVs are permanent residents with pretty tall grass and weeds around their "stuff" outside. Lousy Wifi now, unless you want to pay more or use it after everyone is asleep. Cable was ok. Lots of folks driving too fast and loud thru park. Only 1 place to dump trash. Laundry worked well once you could get someone to give up a washer(2 women using all 8 washers and dryers)Oh and watch the beer dates. Must get a deal on old beer. We got a 6 pack of IPA for $10 but it was expired since Dec 2018, so took it back for something else and all the beer was outdated. Having a Bass tourney...They won't notice I guess they think. At least it is close to Clausen's Oysters, Vinny's Smokin Good Burgers and Scoops Homemade Ice Cream in North Bend.

We were just driving around looking at the area. Beautiful country. I wrote a review of the "coffee shop" on google and got a somewhat snotty response from management. The only reason we drove down there was for a cup of elusive coffee. The espresso machine broke. The lady said TWICE that the machine broke AGAIN. She said AGAIN more than once. No problem. I will have regular coffee. Disappointed, but not enough for any type of review. Then some dude, I assume he works there in some capacity although he looked and acted like an addict, totally disrupted and distracted BOTH OF THE LADIES AT THE COUNTER. HELLO! I WAS HERE FIRST. I waited quietly to be noticed. When I WAS FINALLY NOTICED the lady charged me 1.75 for the old crappy coffee. As someone who has been in the HOSPITALITY industry for more than 20 years, that coffee should have been free. On the snotty response they tried to act like that was the ONLY time the machine was EVER OUT. Why then were you so upset that you kept saying AGAIN? Unfortunately the park looks like it is crammed full, like if you opened your door you would hit the back of the RV next to you. So, although I am a good sam member, I will not return. So your offer of a free coffee next time has absolutely no significance. You only have ONE CHANCE to make a first impression.

We spent one night in the trapper. It was gross! The place was filthy! Dropped an ice cube on the floor, the pic is of the paper towel we wiped it up with. It was suppose to sleep 5-6, but that was including two air mattresses. That would have been fine, but there wasn't a pump. Called the office a little after 6, but they were closed, so we called the pub. They gave us the space number of the security person. He didn't have one, but thankfully someone loaned us one. One of the mattresses apparently had a hole and went flat. Might have been from the people that apparently clipped their toenails on it, because that's what we found on it, Yuck! Garbage in bathroom from the last guest. They do have what appear to be newer cabins. But I'm not sure they would be any cleaner. Would never stay there again!

Ok, while this RV park had fairly level sites, I wish I had my litter pick up tool with me. Sites weren't " nasty" but since I work at a county park in Iowa, I tend to notice the little things. The restrooms were extremely clean and well kept. The camp host "Big H" was pretty awesome. Karaoke at the bar on Friday was too much fun! And try a iced mocha coffee x Leanne at the office! WOW!

The Good: Pricing was decent for the week but should be a bit cheaper. They do provide Good Sam discounts but only if 3 days. After that, you're paying the regular fees with no discount. You get 50A full hookups, 24 channels of cable, free WIFI access and the bathrooms are kept up. Sorry no TV signals out here. FM radio is sparse as well. If you're lucky, you'll get some time on the lake or visit a nearby park or city for fun, lunch or shopping.
The Bad: "Mention our web site and when you Rent Any Camp Site or RV Site for 3 days or more, get a 1/2 Day Free Boat Rental. A $50.00 VALUE!!" We stayed a week at the RV site. When I "mentioned it", the office manager (Roxanne) decided not to make good on it - "We don't do that anymore". Sorry, but the website doesn't state any expiration dates and is still online. I'm calling this the old Bait and Switch! Also, the extras like ICE and LPG are higher than normal. Even domestic tap beer is $3 a glass.
The Ugly: Everything South of the bathrooms and along the channel is temporary (nicer) RV sites. Everything North of the bathrooms are the permanent residents. You may not think much of it until you get a campsite next to one of them. The people seem nice and it's very quiet after 9pm but it's quite the sore eye when you're NEW RV is parked next to something akin to a homeless camp with dirty RVs, broken windows, junky yards, etc. Maybe a separate fenced area for permanent residents would be a better idea?
Overall: Prices OK, good central location to Coos Bay or Winchester Bay, close to the dunes and fishing. I get a feeling the new owner is "trying" to make things better as they seem to have a poor reputation but they've still got more to do. Would we go back again? Maybe if we had a better site away from the permanent residents and they actually honored their online offers.

David, we're glad to hear that you overall enjoyed the prices and our proximity to the lakes and the resort. The Resort is now under new Ownership and the website is being updated and that promotion has been dealt with and is no longer a valid promotion. Thanks for pointing that out and We also give Military Discounts and are part of Good Same and Passport American and others. Changes are being made daily. We are investing daily into the resort. New updated Wi-Fi and we redid the sealing on the whole resort. Nice entrance, signs, security, lighting and much more are being done. We love the resort and next time you come, it will look different. Upgrades to the store, laundry etc are being done too. Tks for your visit and we love it here. Thanks for staying with us.

The 4 night total was different from my booking price done 7 months ago. I received NO notification from the r v facility indicating there would be a price increase upon my arrival. Management/ owner indicated the increase would stand. Great integrity right? No adjustment was made. Grounds are in poor condition not like the pics on their website. Won’t stay again at a park that is dishonest/ heavy handed.
