Bunk’N Brew was a fun place to stay as a group. We had the whole Annex building to ourselves. It was a cool facility that offered food trucks, laundry, and music at night. It is a great location to the city center. We could walk anywhere. We would recommend staying here as as solo traveler or as a group.

This is written by a middle aged woman who was talked into trying the place by her aging hippie friend - so please know that if youre <25 years old and youre surfing hostels, this may be fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly, the food truck was literally AMAZING and the backyard beer truck courtyard was super cute. It was my first toe-dip into the world of hostels and I was honestly impressed by the staff and family-feeling connections many there had. If I was 22, I would have loved this place. If youre in that age range - ENJOY - It seems very safe and fun. However, for ANYONE like me who travels a lot and stays primarily in Marriott/Hilton chains, dont be confused or tempted by the great reviews. This is an old house, and although apparently kept very clean, it smells like the many less-than-clean people who visit. Some of the kids staying there were discussing living in their cars for weeks at a time - let me just say, there were odors... The bedroom was nice, the sheets were clean, but there was no escape from the smell of homeless people. I ended up leaving and am laying in a Marriott bed right now. My hippie friend however chose to stay there - she is having a blast. I assume she will pass out drunk and won't notice the smell until morning. I'm not fortunate enough to drink away my sense and prefer sleep. Old age I suppose - but whatever, I am showered and clean and am not sharing a toilet with 35 people I dont know. 😄

They have a nice outdoor patio with a minimal beer selection and the ubiquitous taco truck. Honestly, it’s great if you are staying here, but more appealing for the 20 year olds. We just happened to drive by and thought we’d check it out. Tough competition in Bend.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the halls were a little noisy and I was trying to go to bed early. But when 10 pm hit, it quieted down as the "house rule" is quite after 10 pm. I very much enjoyed a beer at check in, a clean, comfortable room, great location, and an abundance of communal food for breakfast in the morning.
