As a retired airline employee, I have seen many hotels. For a budget motel, this property was simply the best! The rooms are clean, crisp, updated and new. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Peter who was very welcoming and warm and offered me an excellent rate for booking directly with him versus a 3rd party. I was moving to Arizona with the last of my things in my car. Peter reassured me that all would be safe and it was. This property is well maintained, well lit and sits on a nice hill. The clientele appeared to be travelers and some construction workers - everyone was respectful and it was a peaceful night. Thank you Peter for making my brief stay in Baker City a pleasant one!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise as far as bed comfort goes. The room is sparcely furnished, the walls paper thin, but the shower and bed were fine. The room was marginally clean. I kept finding hairs that weren't mine and I wore socks the whole time. The A/C worked well, and the bed was clean. Pick a room on the first floor, so you can back your car right up to the door and watch your valuables. Rooms that offer a microwave and mini fridge cost more. In a pinch, this hotel allowed me a good night's rest (once everyone around me stopped running, flushing or talking), and that was enough to fortify me for the rest of my journey.

I pop in about once or twice a month and I am very impressed with how consistently clean the rooms and grounds are. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are up to date. The manager is always polite, helpful and makes me feel welcome through every stay. I’m also quite happy with how well the grounds are. It is a quiet, safe and clean motel. If your looking for a good nights rest at a fair price, I highly recommend Motel 6 in Baker City.

Room was full of pet hair . Requested a new room and it was worse than the first room. Keep driving or sleep in your car . Don't stay here . On the plus side only about half of the light bulbs in the room worked which is good because who knows how filthy it would have been if all the lights worked. Also good news was no flea or bed bug bites. Did I mention don't stay here.

We stayed in 6 hotels on our road trip. This was our last stop before home and it was a wonderful stop. It was perfect for us and our 4 dogs (5-14lbs): door to the room on the outside of the building, room was not carpeted, great grassy areas for our dogs. The room was big, basic but perfect for us. And there was a cute miniature golf course our sons played on while waiting for us to get dinner; you get the clubs from the front desk.

The facilities were very clean and new, with a higher shower head and friendly, helpful service. A gazebo with seating for guests enjoying the sunset & view and a little conversation. From the seats, cliff-dwelling swallows to watch zipping to and from their nests. Great food available in the town. Cheap: no, good place for an overnight: yes.

Basic motel but clean and friendly. Has all the basic amenities you need. All we needed was a bed and a shower for the night. This place was perfect. Quick check in / out and friendly staff. Would for sure stay again if traveling through. Thank you!!

If all you need is a clean bed and shower, this is perfect. We checked in at 11:45 pm, had a snafu with our reservation (not the hotel’s fault) but the girl at the front desk was friendly and helpful and quickly got us a room. Check out was easy and friendly. A bare bones experience but the staff seems to care about your experience. Would stay again for a bed and shower. No hairdryer in room but I bet they have if you ask.

Motel 6 Baker city - the last time we were in a motel 6 was 20+ years ago, we arrived late and looked at a couple other motels in town with terrible rooms, we decided to give this one a try, old motel that was completely redone, clean simple no frill but does the job for just a sleep, passing thru. Nice shower and wifi too...awesone view.

This is a gem on the way to the Oregon Coast. The rooms are clean and in very good shape, very quiet and the owner is very happy to help with visiting places in the area. I would have given this motel a 20 if I could have. I too enjoyed playing with Maggie the family dog, made it seem like a little piece of home 1,565 miles from home! The price was great too!
