Asked for 2 extra pillows and were told we could only have one extra. Passed by an unused room with two Queen beds and six unused pillows. We had a King room with 3 pillows on the bed. Seems like King beds should get 4 pillows if a Queen gets 3 so we would have only wanted one extra were that the case. Please purchase enough pillows so that your senior guests with bad backs can each get 1 extra pillow! There's no breakfast here but they have apples and granola bars. We've stayed before and might stay again. Overall it's a pretty good value.

We didn't catch it in time but the price was double what was listed on Google maps... one of the reasons we chose to make a reservation as well as having a pool (which was under repair). So disappointed in those two issues. Beds were comfortable but room and bathroom small. We had asked for a quiet room which to traffic it was but the fan to the heater was a racket all night long. Pluse side - Pleasant front desk and great salad bar next door.

Had to turn in my Penske truck rental here of all places, was odd. But was told to drop off here by Penske. Done.
Showed up at about 7.15 pm without a reservation.
Receptionist was very pleasant and personable. Very nice start.
Couldn't get a ground floor room being I'm disabled and had no reservation ,but dragged my saggy “. “upstairs with the wife in tow.
Nice room, a bit aged, but clean, couldn't get the tv to work, (boomer brain fog) but not a big deal anyhow. The internet was good, that worked fine. Water pressure and temperature was great. Coffeemaker was broken, but worked.
Had a small microwave and fridge. Heater worked great being it was very very cold outside, glad for that. Bed was clean and comfy. Another plus, slept great. Beautiful location with a view of the Wallowa mountains In the distance, very friendly people here, went to the restaurant called the " truck corral" about 65 yards away. Had a good decent breakfast, good food, huge portions. Very nice waitress and staff all around. Decent hotel. It's not the Taj mahal but very suitable, it's old but had some excellent tile work which I though was great in the bathroom, see pic. Was about in my price range which is low budget since I travel quite frequently. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 80.00 bucks. Would come back again is the key point...yes I would, and will. Thank you El Dorado.

I stopped here for the night, thinking I could save a little bit of money because it wasn’t a mainstream hotel. After paying $90 for one person and a small room, I realized that what little I may have saved wasn’t worth it as the room was rundown, the shower was circa 1970, and the bed was probably one of the hardest I’ve ever slept on, except that I didn’t get much sleep because of it. The room itself was in poor condition and about the only good thing I can say was the person who checked me in, probably the owner, was kind and personable.

After choosing this is establishment as are destination for the night primarily based on their loud advertising of their heated indoor pool, we arrived to find that the pool is not only closed but has been so for the last 2 years. No mention of any pool closure whatsoever in any advertising even though they obviously had plenty of time to do so. The "complimentary breakfast" was literally a brown paper bag with a bottled orange juice and a nutri-grain bar. I don't think that is complimentary even to the word breakfast. The room was sworn with flies, had obvious garbage in the drawers, dirty and cracking wall panels around the shower. To summarize, I feel like they purposely misled in their advertising to draw people into what they know is a hot mess.

I am sorry you feel the way your do. Our pool has not been advertised in over two years. The pictures online are not owned by the property and have been posted by previous guest. This doesn’t allow us to take to take them down. I would have been more than happy to cancel your reservation, allowing you to choose another property of your choice. Breakfast has been discontinued and will remain discontinued for 2 years. Sadly, there is a major labor shortage and many hotels are not able to live up to the expectations of guest. Times have changed!! Flies- there are flies throughout the spring in summer in many towns. It does not mean the property is dirty, it just means that there are multiple ranches and farms as we are located in the country. We did not mislead you, unfortunate that you feel that way. The property was purchased right before covid and with the new norm; we are doing the best we can like many hotels and business; thank you again for your review; many blessings of thanks again for the pleasant review.

There was no hit water, the beds are hard, rooms are musty and it lacks customer service. We received the overfill room that needed a lot of repair. My husband couldn't hardly breathe in the hotel and the desk clerk could care less. I recommend you check out the rooms before scheduling as there is no options to cancellation the day you are staying at the hotel.

This motel is trying to steal almost $500 from me in retaliation to my negative reviews on Expedia and Google Maps. The general manager came to my room to angrily confront me. After the reviews they hit me with a bogus smoking charge, and when I edited my reviews to reflect that they tried another $187.58. Not recommended!

We are working on getting the rooms updated and the bathrooms redone. The A/C can sometimes be confusing to use we would have loved to help you with that. We would have been able to refund you your stay and allow you to check out. You refused to come to the desk and stated that you were okay. We offered to move you to another room; and you did not want to move. You made an error in making your reservation and we did everything to accommodate you and fix it for you. Then after you stayed, you decided 3 days out you want a refund.

Location and convenience was nice as it is close to I84, however hotel needs a lot of updating.

Felt front office staff was very professional and helpful.

Swimming pool wasn't available due to construction.

Outside of building was dirty and plants were dead in all of the planters. One planter, terra cotta was broken and all of the pieces were stacked up instead of thrown away.

The outside was very dirty around the stairs, lots of dirt and cigarette butts, we were on the second floor, the wooden stairs show their age and we were concerned about the safety of them.

In addition the carpet in the room was very stained, cobwebs in the top of doorway to mirror (it is stained old wood frame but should be cleaned), weren't able to use the shower as the tip on pull up was missing and we couldn't grip the piece to put the water to showerhead.

Towels that were provided were at a stage that you would use them as a rag at home.

Were concerned about the wiring in the room as TV, fridge and microwave were plugged into a power strip as building is old without proper plug ins. Lighting next to bed was so high you had to stand up to turn the lights off. Holes in the walls where pictures had been hung prior. Channels available on TV were very limited.

Not sure I would stay again without things being updated as it is comparable to a low Motel 6 with a higher rate.

We have stayed at the Eldorado a number of times over the years, and the room we stayed in last Friday night had been remodeled and was a nice blend of new (comfortable beds) and old (vintage furniture). It was a great value compared to the other offerings in Baker City for that night. We would stay there again any time. The location is great - close to I-84, several restaurants, and Safeway.
