Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice place. Nice room with a jacuzzi and a nice view of the Dam. Restaurant dinner was good. Food was very tasty but with only one waiter for 6 tables service was a bit slow. Overall my wife and I enjoyed the night stay.

A friend and I were out for Sunday drive and he had mention seeing the Inn on another trip. We stopped for lunch. They had a nice Sunday buffet with fried chicken, roast beef, lots of assorted veggies and salads. Homemade rolls and cornbread. The price was very reasonable. If in the area again I will be going back. As a bonus the dining room over looks the river. Very nice.

The hotel is definitely older and it shows, but the room was spacious, with everything you could need and the views from the balcony were amazing. I loved that there is a common room with a full fridge, microwave, kitchen supplies, tables, games, books, movies. The property is unique and quiet with an interesting history. Unfortunately the restaurant is only open on weekends.

We came here for an affordable romantic getaway. The place is comfortable, clean, and quiet. It's impressive how they remmade the mill into the hotel. It's rustic and you can still see some of the huge beams and pulleys from the mill. We got a room with the view of the dam, which was well worth it. It was really cool watching the river. We also got a Jacuzzi suite, which was loads of fun. The breakfast snack was convenient and surprisingly filling. We got a great deal since we came in the off season and it was a relaxing getaway that was well worth it.

Booked with Liz who was patient and kind in answering my questions, we booked a week ahead. A vehicle situation the night b4 forced me to cancel, Dottie answered and graciously gave us a gift certificate for the entire amount for a future use which is what I asked for, I didn't feel a refund was appropriate since it was the night b4 memorial day weekend and we want to stay here in near future. Very pleasant and cordial. Kenneth B

We drove up from Vienna, WV, about an hour away just to meet friends for lunch. (Reservations are required.) The food is buffet layout, but is served behind guards onto your plate for you. There are 3 entrees and many sides. Everything tastes like it's home made. The locale is so beautiful and the interior so cute that we have decided to book a stay at the Inn in the future.

Nice historic mill turned into an inn. We stayed in the Captain Hook suite. It was nice and clean! The hot tub was spectacular and also very clean! Loved the sound of rushing water. It's on the 4th floor and there is no elevator so it made for a nice workout! Not recommended if you have trouble with stairs. It could have used better pillows. They felt very cheap. They left a plate of fruit and nutrigrain bars outside our room. They could improve on that. Afterall, the room did cost $300 a night. Other than that I don't have any complaints. We didn't eat at the restaurant. The workers were very friendly and nice. It was a relaxing getaway and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Stockport Ohio- windy, twisty roads lead to this cute little town with a wonderful Inn to boast about. The setting is beautiful along the Muskingum River. Friendly staff greet you at check in. Our room had 2 queen beds, tub with shower and balcony overlooking the river. Quiet room, good nights sleep, and just plain relaxing. The Inn is 4 floors. Ample sitting areas. Remnants of the past history of this old mill. Definitely a come back to kind of place.

Great large room, very clean with double whirlpool tub. Great view from our balcony. Owner is very warm and accommodating. Fun place to look around with all the antiques and changes from the time it was a working mill. Highly recommended.

They have retained just enough of the old mill structure and architecture to make it unique and interesting, but have added all the modern amenities.

The balcony views are beautiful, and I think almost every room has a balcony. If your room doesn't have a deep inviting, large, claw foot tub, then it will have a Jacuzzi big enough for at least two people as well as a traditional shower/tub combo.

I really appreciated the wood floors and cleanliness. The bed was more comfortable than most hotels.

The many common areas are also pleasant and inviting.

The restaurant meal that I had was VERY GOOD. The homemade beef stew (soup of the day) was some of the best I've ever had. The generous mixed green salad did not come out of a bag. The variety of greens and freshness suggests that it may have been grown locally. I also liked the homemade vinaigrette dressing. The rosetta (multi-grain) bread is baked by a local Mennonite lady, and was outstanding.

The staff is friendly and helpful, and it is a family run operation.

Now for the slight imperfections. Stockport is a DRY TOWN. If you want to enjoy a glass of wine or other alcoholic refreshments, you better bring it with you. The Inn will provide glasses upon request, and you can enjoy your drinks in the restaurant or your room.

The climate control system in the rooms have several settings, but they are not thermostatically controlled. So, it will require some adjustments periodically to keep the room comfortable.

Althought there were other guests at the Inn, I felt as if I almost had the place to myself. - Can't wait to go back!

I believe check-in was 4pm but we got there around 3-3:30 on Friday and didn't have any problem getting our room. I don't really remember what the check-out time was either but we left at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. You will have to call them to make sure.
