Detailed Reviews
The Seaview Inn is located on the outskirts of Stanley village center, offering beautiful views of the ocean and "the Nut"
The staff on arrival and departure were warm and friendly and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
We stayed for one night in top floor accommodation which offered the best views of this stunning location. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. There was also a well stocked mini bar and an adorable stuffed penguin you can purchase as a memory of your trip to Stanley.
Dinner was at Hursey Seafood where we enjoyed Tasmanian lobster. Food was great and the service was good. Breakfast was at Moby Dicks and was fantastic. Excellent coffee.
Unfortunately, on the morning we climbed the Nut (some by foot, some by cable car), there was quite a heavy fog which obscured the view out over the ocean. However, there is still a lovely walk around the top of this landmark with plenty of information to read and lots of wildlife to experience
We also took in the Highfield Historic Site which is located high above Stanley. The restored home is beautifully lit up over night and is a wonderful landmark for the town. Well worth a visit, and the money of admission goes toward upkeep and further restoration work
Undoubtedly, the highlight of our visit was watching the arrival of the penguins onto the beach at Kings Park. This attraction can be a bit hit or miss dependent on the cooperation of the penguins, but we were fortunate and treated to dozens of the creatures arriving at the beach around 9.00pm and entertaining us for over half an hour.

Stayed in a 'seaview' room, upstairs with a fantastic view of the Nut and coastline. Room was spacious and very comfortable with a queen and single bed. There was also a table and chairs and a small food prep counter with tea making facilities and a toaster. Made traveling with a toddler much easier as we could prepare a few snacks and had a dedicated place to feed. Staff was very friendly and courteous and check in was a breeze. We also requested a late check out and were given a very welcome additional hour.
There is no restaurant on site and one has to drive a couple of km into town to eat out. The location though is much nicer than in town as it's very quiet and has a much nicer view as it's on a hill. Playground on site to entertain kids too. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Stanley.

Our family of 3 stayed for 2 nights.
The staff were great, Thank you Rach f oir all your assisstance.
Drinks during happy hour were very reasonable and as the restaurant doesnt do meals we ate our take away meal there without issue.
The room was ok. Windows rattled in the constant wind till i jammed cardbourd in the bottom of the window frame.
Strange room layout with the bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and TV almost seem like an after thought.
King bed was very comfortable and as expected all other basic room appointments on offer.
Shame the restaurant wasnt open for evening meals as there arnt a huge amount of options in Stanley and im sure people staying would eat there rather than drive back into town.

A great value for money accommodation establishment. The unit was clean and well presented the service was excellent. The Seaview Inn is in a quiet location and is close to all attractions and services in Stanley. When staying in Stanley, I would certainly stay at Seaview.

Stanley Seaview Inn is great you can see the nut from you balcony.
It has a kitchen with a stove and what you need to cook if you want to as Stanley
has not many options for eating out. The unit has 2 TV's one in the lounge room and a smaller one in the bedroom, has a beautiful balcony that you can sit if its not to windy.
Also has a washing maching and dryer that you can use in a common area.
Really loved this unit.

We stayed in a Two Bedroom Seaview Apartment which is self-contained. This room was well appointed and had everything we needed. The view overlooking The Nut is so beautiful that we decided to buy takeaway food just so we could eat dinner in our room and enjoy the view! The bedding in both bedrooms was modern and very comfortable (super important) and the apartment was spotlessly clean. The mini bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced. In addition to all this, the staff at the Stanley Seaview Inn are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and we'll be staying here again the first chance we get.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous. Views for miles over the lovely town of Stanley, and all it's spectacular natural features. Sea views in almost every direction! Accommodation was so comfortable with a super bed, spa bath, good kitchen facilities, huge room. Happy hour each evening sets the scene for the friendly staff to advise on where to eat for the evening, as well as where one might find some interesting spots to visit.

We along with another couple recently enjoyed a 2 night Stay at Sea view. My husband and i were fortunate to be upgraded to a spacious 2 bedroom cabin which was very ample . Some aspects of cleanliness were a little disappointing e.g crockery and kitchen/bathroom floors but otherwise fine. On a good note, staff at no charge, happily provided us and the other couple with a good supply of breakfast condiments as we didn't realise we would have a toaster ! We will return as overall a lovely quiet place to stay.

+1
We arrived late from the spirit of Tasmania (Devonport) to a very comfy and cosy room. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like babies.
The view of the nut and location in general was great!
The sink in bathroom was a little discoloured bu still clean. Shower water was hot and had good pressure.
I would come back again

If your ok going upstairs and want a view you could do worse than asking for one of the 2 nd floor rooms with a view of “The Nut”
