Detailed Reviews
Great little caravan park in an awesome location! Only a stone’s throw to a perfect little kid friendly beach. Big camp kitchen with everything you need. We stayed on a powered campsite which was only just big enough for our needs, felt a little cramped in. We were however close to the amenities which were probably the best I’ve seen in Tassie! They even supply fresh bath mats so you don’t have to get dressed on a wet floor! Kids weren’t too impressed with the playground which was rather basic, also the games room seemed to only have things that cost money. Overall one of our favourite park’s in Tassie and we would definitely stay there again!

My wife and I booked into the Stanley Cabin and Tourist Park for the nights of the 25th and 26th of September.
We arrived there in the early afternoon and were greeted by the nicest lady who told us we had booked one of their Bed Sitters and gave us the key to check out one of their cabins in case we wanted to upgrade. The cabin was well appointed but we opted to settle for the Bed Sitter because we had no intention of cooking and what we had was adequate for what we wanted.
The little unit we had was very neat, very clean and tidy. We were extremely comfortable there and enjoyed the stay immensely.
The Cabin and Tourist Park is in a very convenient location and well within walking distance of the town and waterfront.
We do recommend this park to you without reservation.
Excellent Accommodation, extremely helpful and courteous staff and so much around town to enjoy.

Best caravan park amenities I have come across in Tasmania.
Complimentary towels for wet feet after a shower, and even a radio in the bathroom. It’s the simple things that make all the difference.
Very clean and modern too!
The receptionist was very accommodating, especially considering we only wanted an unpowered site. She still treated us as normal paying patrons.
Thanks for a great stay! 😁

We loved our stay at this caravan park and we’re amazed at the quality of the amenities. The camp kitchen was the best I have ever seen, super amazing with everything you could possibly need. The bathrooms were beautifully clean and, in an absolute first, bath mats were provided. Also sponges were provided at the sink areas for easy clean up. My husband especially appreciated the piped radio in the bathrooms. Best of all, free Wi-Fi throughout the campground. If we ever go back to Stanley we will definitely stay here.

We booked a powered grass site for 2 nights.
Amenities blocks were older but exceptionally clean and bath mats were available to use at your convenience. Water pressure was great.
Large indoor camp kitchen with all cooking utensils, pots, kettles, toasters, tea towels etc.
BBQ's undercover.
Park backs on to beach, lovely walk in the evening. Short walk to the Nutt, historic buildings in town and penguin viewing platform.
Reception staff were welcoming and very helpful.
Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the park, first night we spent on a powered site in our motorhome and we splashed out the second night and got a spa cabin.
Perfect location, 5 minute walk to main street and pub, right on the beach and we got to see the penguins coming in just after dark.
The bathrooms were clean and the first caravan park I've come across that provide bath mats, just a little thing but these small touches matter.
Fiona at reception was amazing, so friendly and helpful and told us all the things we must do in the area.
We loved Stanley and had such a great time.

Exceptional location only 400m walk to Stanley CBD. Watch the penguins come in along the break wall each night around 7pm when we were here in September. Spectacular sight to witness.
It’s a great place to base yourself for a few days to explore the Tarkine region.
Since leaving Devonport, this caravan park was the best park we’ve stayed in by far along the whole north-west coast of Tasmania. The park has great newly renovated amenities, and fantastic camp kitchen facilities.
We had a great deal, book 3 nights pay for 2 costing a total of $90 for three nights for a powered site.

The Stanley Cabin & Tourist Park offers a variety of accommodations from campsite for RVs and tents to cabins of various sizes. We stayed in a Waterfront Deluxe Cabin, and it provided spacious accommodation and a lovely view over the bay.
There are shared laundry facilities, including tumble dryers and washing lines & pegs on site, and the local supermarket is just around the corner.
Stanley is a small town that offers a large variety of activities, including a visit up The Nut, Little Penguins, and is a great starting point for the Tarkine Drive. The historic centre, just a few minutes' walk from the Cabin Park, is beautifully preserved. We enjoyed our stay at the Stanley Cabin & Tourist Park, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great. Overall good value for money.

We too have been hit by the greed of the new owners. We booked in May this year for a family wedding in November as the accommodation is walking distance to the wedding. I was rung a week ago by the new owners to be told my booking had gone up over $200 for a 4 night stay... They refused to honour the original price but lucky for me i had booked through booking.com and they sorted new accommodation for us as i refused to give them a cent more than agreed upon and cancelled the booking. Not a great start for a new business.

Responded 25 Jul 2024
Thank you for your review. When our company took ownership of the park, we found that no bookings had been paid in advance or confirmed with a deposit by the previous owner. As a result, we contacted all guests to offer them the opportunity to rebook with us at the current prices, which reflect the necessary costs of running our business. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this transition may have caused and appreciate your understanding. Your feedback helps us improve and ensure a better experience for all our guests. Kind regards

The park is in a great location on Wharf Road and with easy access to local attractions. Hindsight is wonderful and we should have stayed another couple of nights and use it as a base to wander further afield from Stanley. Cabin 9 was spacious, equipped with all the cooking facilities that we required; it was clean and sanitised, good ablution area and, as we had come to expect in Tasmania, a comfortable bed. Reception had a very good selection of brochures and information pamphlets, better than some of the official information venues visited. Kudos. The nearby supermarket a handy facility. Wonderful views to The Nut. The entire park area seemed maintained to a high standard.

If your looking for a self contained budget option the budget cabin would be the best suited for you. At $85 per night you get a full kitchen, double bed and en-suite.
Sorry David W, not 5 people it would be for 6.
Hi Mary. We have powered sites for $30 per night for two people and unpowered sites for $25. Cheers, Anita
