We stayed here for two nights. Our room was beautifully designed with modern decor, attention to detail and a lovely comfortable king bed and had view of the ocean in the distance. Even thought it had two blinds it still wasn't completely dark in the room at night which affects my sleep unfortunately. Ting was a lovely host, she went out of her way to make sure you have a comfortable and pleasant stay. We did have some confusion about breakfast, if you get 10% off your stay by booking on their website, then breakfast isn't included but the website states that breakfast is included in your stay. This would have to be updated on the website to avoid confusion. We were on the first floor (not fun with heavy luggage) and the room next door had a spa which at night time is very loud and unfortunately this annoying as you could hear the spa motor going and the water pipes etc. It didn't help that the guests next door were noisy too despite the 9.30pm no noise rule and the guest noise wasn'the owners fault, just some noisy students who couldn't care about fellow guests. Ting you are a very lovely host, caring lady and wish you all the best with your B&B. We loved the little town of Penguin, best food at the Neptune pub.

Thanks Mary for your review. Just to clarify regarding our website and what is included in a booking price - We offer a Standard Price that includes breakfast and a 10% off price and a 15% off price for bookings of 3 nights or more. All discount prices are made Non Refundable, whereas if you book the standard price you can cancel without penalty up to 48 hours before the booking date. If you visit our website and click on our booking terms you will see right away under the heading Non Refundable Bookings that any Non Refundable booking does not include a breakfast. We are well aware that many guests prefer to take a discounted price on non refundable terms and sacrifice the breakfast. If a guest later decides they would like breakfast they can purchase either a continental breakfast or cooked breakfast from us upon arrival. We did tell the students to keep their voices down after 9 pm and our Spa Rule clearly states not to turn the spa engine on after 9pm. We note that they did not use the spa engine after 9.05 pm. We have a comfy downstairs sunroom with double glaze sliding doors that we invite guests to use if they want to talk after 9pm. Of course they should have moved there after 9pm but they were all asleep by 10 pm as they had to leave early the next day and were tired after a long day out. Sometimes it is hard to get the balance just right but we try our best. We hope to see you again one day and wish you all the best. Ting and Chris

We came over this town to visit a friend. What we were after is simple - safe, clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient and friendly staffs. This place is nothing short of magnificent. The view from our room is just a super add-on, something that has exceeded our expectations. The lovely owners Chris and Ting were not only professional but also kind to cater the requests we raised. It is worth an advocate to anyone of this place for any kind of visits to Penguin or close.

I visited Penguin couple of times, this is a nice place to stay. It feels like home. Only 2 minutes walk from guest house to beach front (the main road), it’s very convenient and quiet, I enjoyed my good sleep. Beds are comfortable, room is super clean and shower is great. They offer different types of pillow to make sure you can feel comfortable. I ordered cooked breakfast at 8.30 in the morning, food was delivered to my room. Host is very friendly and kind. Price I think is reasonable for such a great stay. Highly recommend.

Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and welcome. The Family spa room is nice and cozy, clean and comfortable. Host ting and Chris are very friendly and helpful. We had scones as our afternoon tea on our arrival, that’s a real treat and surprise. The room is perfect for 3-4 people to stay, also very private. We enjoyed the spa bath. Thank you again, definitely we will be back.
