Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This little gem has clearly become a victim of the internet and evolved from a lovely Utopian tent only site to 'wild campers' arriving in their droves in shiny VW vans -shame from a selfish point of view only. Thank goodness those awful caravans wont manage the hill ! The covid security is clear and evident Amazing environment with no 4G or signal its simply great :) Fantastic walks from the site and short drives to the equally beautiful Exmore coast -again personal perspective worth the 20 minute drive/hour walk to Porlock Weir for lunch @ Zangs by far the best food in West Somerset . What is a crying shame is the rude unwelcome self righteous attitude of the local family that run the site. They are local farmers/land owners who clearly carry their self importance on

Wonderful site in a beautiful quiet valley. Had a lovely pitch (and my sister, who had booked for some nights we were there) was allocated the nextdoor pitch, facing the river. The facilities were as advertised and kept very clean and Simon and Tracey were friendly and helpful.

This was a little expensive £15.00 per person per night, considering the facilities available. The toilet facilities were not cleaned on a daily basis. no hand sanitizer anywhere to be seen. The Shower facilities were disgusting, a mop left out for you to clean out after use. Owner advised us not to go in the woods on the Saturday evening as they went shooting rats!!! On a positive the fishing lakes and scenary beautiful. Will not be returning , hugely dissapointed, been camping numerous times.

We have just come home from 4 wonderful nights at Pool bridge camp site. It is a quiet and beautiful spot, with the sounds of the river running through the camp site very relaxing. Your pitch is allocated before you arrive but each pitch has plenty of space and you definitely don’t feel on top of one another. We loved the fact that we could have camp fire, and there is wood for sale on site at a very reasonable price. The toilet and shower block was very clean and cleaned several times a day currently. Our boys enjoyed the tree swings on site too! Just a word of warning the drive to the camp site is very narrow and windy but so worth it. We loved it here and will definitely be back.

Most loveliest campsite to really unwind, relax and take in the fresh air of the exmoor hills. It’s our yearly tradition that we come here and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Lovely owners who make you feel so welcome, so friendly and would do anything to make your time at pool bridge that extra special.

It all depends what sort of break/holiday your looking for, if you want Clubhouse party’s until 2am followed by greasy kebab then this is not for you. If you want total peace, quiet and tranquility all set in a stunning location Pool Bridge campsite has it all. Located in the base of a tree lined valley with a stream flowing along its length Pool Bridge is a 10-15 minute drive from Porlock. The site itself is basic, with a small shower/ toilet block and washing up sinks but this for me was more than ample. Campfires are allowed and you can purchase bags of logs and kindling from the friendly site owner who is there a couple of times a day. Once in the valley I had no phone signal (EE) so had to drive 5 minutes back towards Porlock and stand on top of a hill to get reception

This was my second time staying in Pool bridge and it was located in one of the most breathtaking and amazing locations in Exmoor. Only a 15 min drive from minehead if you need to go and buy some supplies like food etc. and then everything else is a decent drive if you have a car. There are serene unreal views all around pool bridge and you won't be disappointing when you arrive. Definitely staying here again.

Great camp site in fantastic stream and valley setting. Very helpful owners. Shop for logs and essentials. Toilet block clean but could do with updated shower block as only the 1 shower in each toilet block. You can over look this as everything else is so perfect.

Our favourite spot! Love coming here - 12 of us this year who all had an amazing weekend. Walk out of site following the river and you come to a little river pool for swimming in-so lovely! Will be back next year for sure.

Spent 5 nights here with family and friends and already hoping to make a return visit. The campsite is like something out of a storybook: the children in our group ranged from 6 to 1 and all had a great time at the rope swings, in the river and generally making their own entertainment. Although it got busy over the weekend it wasn't too crowded and each pitch had a reservation sign so it didn't get cramped. The little shop is great and Simon and Tracey, the owners, are excellent hosts. I read lots of reviews that mentioned the descent into the site; it's not as bad as I feared. Just take it very slowly. There's a lovely trail just outside the gate which follows the river and we saw lots of butterflies including some huge fritillaries. The only tiny downside was the smell from
