Very clean and tidy, excellent breakfast as well. Booked as near the Winter Gardens which was handy for our Libertines gig. Would stay again if any more gigs are there. The lady that welcomed us was very polite, bathroom had shower gel and soap in.

On arrival we were met by a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome. The whole place is spotless. The room was lovely and the en-suite shower room was very clean and looked new. Power shower was a bonus in the morning. Very close to winter gardens venue and would definitely use again. Free parking on the road at the front of the hotel.

The Sherwood is absolutely fine, the room was comfortable and had everything needed. The breakfast that was included in the price was good and certainly set us up for the day (and to be honest, it was the inclusion of breakfast that made us choose the Sherwood over the identically priced Premier Inn). We both found the forthright manageress to be very efficient and straightforward in communications, I certainly wouldn’t want to cross her! Location is good, about 10 mins or so walk into town and there is free parking in Dalby Square outside the hotel (mind you one of great things about Margate is the availability of free parking). My main issue, and I feel this is quite universal while the majority of us are still staycationing in the UK during the madness of the pandemic, is that the price didn’t match the experience. This felt like a £75-£85 a night hotel for £125, and to be honest the Sherwood was the most reasonably priced in Marg=ate on that early September week. I would stay at the Sherwood again but at a price that is more in line with the experience.

Quite disappointed with our stay which was for two nights bed and breakfast. We did not expect a sea view, however there was nothing on the description to say it would be overlooking other buildings and gardens and not in a pleasant way. There was an issue with pigeons, we were woken at 3 o'clock both mornings because they caused So much noise and constant sitting on the window sill. The shower was way too hot and there was no way that we could turn it down. The breakfast was very cheap produce and also disappointing and in fact the second morning we chose to leave early due to the lack of sleep and stopped in Margate town for a breakfast elsewhere and did not eat at The Sherwood. I do not consider The Sherwood value for money and would not recommend it. The staff however were friendly enough and the room spotless together with the bathroom, which is of course very important, but of course so is the sleep and breakfast, hence my negative review

Thank you to Edz and her friend/employee for such a warm welcome. The bathroom is exceptionally clean, the chromes in the shower are shining, everything is spotless and the bed is comfortable. Nice room with seaview. 7 to 10 minutes walk from the Old Town and amusement. Yummy breakfast. Parking on the street or CCTV car park literally opposite for £7.20 for 24 hours on Sunday. Highly recommended.
