We had a lovely weekend trip in Deal after stumbling across Bears Well, and would highly recommend. A beautiful Georgian house, set in a quiet street in the centre of Deal, with both the town and sea only minutes away - it’s the perfect location. We stayed in the Church room, which was lovely - overlooking a beautiful old church, on a really quiet street. The bathroom is amazingly spacious, with both walk in shower and roll top bathtub. It’s a beautiful house, with high ceilings, a lovely garden and amazing tiled hallway. The whole house feels incredibly clean, with a lovely homely feel. From the moment we arrived, Peter was incredibly friendly and accommodating - he gave us some great tips on what to do and see for our weekend in Deal, whilst we enjoyed the absolutely delicious breakfast! We’re so pleased to have found Bears Well and look forward to returning soon. Asha & Jack

Couldn’t recommend this place more highly. We were welcomed by Peter who explained everything clearly to us and made recommendations of things to do etc. room was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. It was great to meet Nichola at breakfast, which was a wonderful meal and so well prepared and such a variety of optionsall freshly cooked. We will definitely be booking Bears Well again. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay at Bears Well, lovely location close to all amenities including the beach yet peaceful and relaxing. The front facing room overlooking the church provided clean and comfortable facilities including tea/coffee tray. Breakfast deserves a special mention too with a varied menu and well cooked dishes to order by great hosts. Would certainly recommend!

We had an excellent 2 night stay at Bear’s Well. Having been residents in the town for 12 years, we knew it was a go-to choice for a town-centre B&B to spend our last couple of days in Deal before moving away after our house sale completed. We received a friendly welcome on our arrival. The Bay Room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and very well equipped. The breakfasts were delicious with an excellent choice available. Despite being in the town centre, it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of all restaurants, shops and pubs, not forgetting the seafront! We will definitely use Bear’s Well for future visits to Deal.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Peter welcomed us and carried our bags up to the 1st floor Bay room, which overlooks their garden, and was nice and airy with high ceilings and a large bathroom with an enclosed shower and a claw footed bathtub. We were given a house key so we could come and go as we pleased. The B&B was very close to the relative we were visiting as well as the high street so an ideal location for us. The cooked-to-order breakfasts were delicious – some of the more interesting choices were herby mushrooms on toast with a poached egg, avocado toast with a poached egg and French toast with fried bananas. When we left, Peter very kindly drove us to the train station. Both Peter and his wife Nicola were friendly and welcoming. I thought the price was reasonable for the amenities offered. We would stay here again.

Friendly and accommodating owners. The room was spacious and airy with a decent en suite, tea and coffee. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delightful. Car parking is in a local car park, pretty reasonable and just at the back of the B & B

Great location, (Deal isn't a huge place) but 2 mins from the seafront and highstreet. Super clean and tidy, great facilities and amenities including toilettries, bathrobes, big fluffy towels and tea/filter coffee. Bathroom in the Church Room was beautiful and spacious, with a free standing bath tub as well as large walk in shower. Large bed (think it was a king size). We were there last week during an uncharacteristially warm period so do note that there was no air conditioner or fan (we wouldn't normally expect one so do bring your own if you can't sleep in the heat). Breakfast was incredible, good quality produce and excellent choice including full english, different eggs, avocado toast, french toast etc... all with continental selection too which you can help yourself. Do note that the hosts are not wearing masks, nor do other guests within the property and you are seated around the same breakfast table as guests with a lot of communal elements especially around the fruit bowls, yogurt, juices and milk jugs. Parking was also a bit tricky as most are 2hrs max or similar. They are able to recommend some free parking towards the edge of town, around a 10 min walk from the BnB but it can be stressful to pull up in front of the property during the day when it is busy (as it's so centrally located) as it's a one lane, two direction road. Tip is to drive straight up the north end of the seafront and eventually you will reach free parking zones.

The most wonderful, helpful and hospitable hosts. Breakfast was delicious - great selection of choices and really nice produce. Lovely airy and spacious room with a large comfortable bed. Fantastic location, everything we wanted to do was under a 10 minute walk. Very relaxing long weekend - we will be back!

Peter and Nicola really pull out the stops to make this a fantastic B&B. The house is lovely, beautifully furnished with large elegant rooms and lots of lovely art on the walls. Our room was large with space to put things, good lighting and plenty of mirrors. The bathroom was a good size again with plenty of space to put things and a well-lit mirror. A good selection of beverages was supplied along with fresh milk and water. Peter cooks an amazing breakfast, the choices are equal to smart hotels. He makes his own bread and some examples of dishes are avocado on sourdough, herby mushrooms on toast, french toast with fried banana. There is also a good choice of cereals, fruit, compote, yoghurt etc. Breakfast is currently timed so that only one family is in the dining room at a time. Peter and Nicola are charming hosts. Can't recommend it enough. No parking at the property but a large public car park behind where you can stay as long as you like (paying). Although right in the town centre it is a super quiet location. Restaurants round the corner and the sea front 2 minutes walk.
