We stayed a couple of weeks ago before our cruise. Although the price seemed high it was still the cheapest around. Was basic but you know what you get with a Travelodge. Room was clean and had all we needed/expected. Outside area was nice and well kept. If i had 1 grumble it would be how hot the rooms are. Unlike other guests we are fully aware that this is not the hotels fault - they do not control the weather but do do all they can ie- fans already on in rooms when we arrive. We arrived early and was greeted by Kirsty the hotel manager who very kindly offered us some cold bottled water and helped me and my wife with our bags. We will return again should the need arise.

My recent stay at the Travelodge in the New Forest was a delightful experience overall. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of the forest, this budget-friendly accommodation offers a comfortable retreat for travelers seeking tranquility and convenience.

The location of the hotel is undoubtedly its highlight.
Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque landscapes, it provides easy access to the numerous attractions and outdoor activities that the New Forest has to offer. Whether it's exploring the forest trails, visiting charming villages, or spotting wildlife, there's no shortage of things to do in the vicinity.

The room itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy haven after a day of exploration. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided met my basic needs. However, some minor upgrades, such as improved toiletries or additional charging outlets, would enhance the overall guest experience.

The staff at the Travelodge were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. Their professionalism added to the pleasant atmosphere of the establishment.

While the hotel in the New Forest may not offer luxurious amenities or extensive facilities, its affordability and prime location make it a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area. I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to the area.

Stayed here recently with our dog. I was really worried about my dog getting wet, muddy and making a mess, but I was reassured by the hotel manager not to worry. She went out of her way to make a fuss of our dog and any other dog she saw. All the staff we saw were so friendly too. Our room was facing the road but the room was triple glazed so minimal noise was heard from the traffic which was a pleasant surprise as we knew the hotel was situated on a dual carriageway. Our room was clean and quite large and had everything we required. We were advised on the best places to eat which were all a short drive away. Overall a great stay and we look forward to returning in the summer.

Booked a double room. On arrival we greatly accepted a free upgrade to a small family room which the receptionist would be quieter as it was at the back of the hotel away from the main road. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner as there was dust /cobwebs behind the bathroom door. Nice clean linen and towels. Good size tv. Lots of storage shelves. Good heaters that we could adjust accordingly. Asked reception for a hairdryer was they lent free of charge.

I stayed here for 3 nights as I was working close by. I was shocked when arriving with the proximity of the hotel to such a busy road. Although this was my own mistake for not researching the area better. To my surprise you can barely hear the road noise once inside the hotel. I arrived around 2.45pm and the Manager (Blonde lady) was kind enough to let me check in straight away.
My Room was clean and smelt fresh. It was very modern but also with a cosy feel. Every team member I saw was extremely friendly and chatty. The cleaners regularly stopped me to see if I needed anything topped up or refreshed in my room. Each time I walked by reception I was also engaged in conversation. The Manager and the rest of the employees really gave this hotel a home from home feel. I will be rebooking again in June.

Linda was the only member of staff on duty when we arrived. I had booked a disabled access room as I am a paraplegic in a wheelchair. She explained the travel Lodge does not provide disabled access rooms for families. She suggested that we find another hotel. When I explained that we had travelled a long way, it was late and that maybe she could just put a fold up bed in the room, she said no but you just have the family room. When we got to the family room she explained that me and my wheelchair wouldn't fit in the bathroom. When I explained thats not going to work she huffed and we all had to follow her back to reception. When I asked why she couldn't put a fold up bed in the disabled room she said she would have to call her manager. While on the phone to the manager she said "they haven't even paid" so I corrected her and asked that she check the system. She then said...oh SHE has! She hung up and then proceed to tell me that in the future I should not book with travel Lodge as they can't forfill my needs. My husband and I were gobsmacked. She went off then went she came back she started to explain the assistance cord reset process. Where she repeated several times that as my husband was with me there would be no need to call for assistance and that she would not attend. The entire time linda spoke to me very slowly which I found extremely offensive. A car accident took my ability to walk it didn't make me deaf or stupid. We have travelled all over the world before and since my accident and this is the 1st time I've been made to feel like such an inconvenience, unwelcome and that I didn't belong! Please provide linda with equality training I believe your future disabled customers will benifit.

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Stoney Cross and I would highly recommend it to anyone to stay there with or without a family.

Perfect location and great value for money and right on the doorstep of the new forest.

The room was very clean and spacious, it was warm with 1 very large comfortable bed there were supplies of tea, coffee, milk also a kettle and 4 mugs, the bed sheets and pillowcases were spotlessly clean as were all of the towels, the room was exceptionally clean including the carpets and bathroom.

I enjoyed the stay thoroughly, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and made me feel very welcome.

A special thank you to Kirsty for her patience with me when continually asking for recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, (Renoufs was a grand recommendation) she has a heart of gold and is a real credit to travelodge.

I would also like to say a big thank you for making our stay such a happy one and for all their hard work in and around the hotel keeping it very nice for everyone.

On arrival the member of staff was friendly, nothing to complain about there.
The room was poor, mould in shower, black hair still left in the bath, poo marks in toilet on arrival, no hot water, WiFi didn’t work and the toilet smelt of sewage. There was 16 of us staying here, over 5 rooms, and all said there was no hot water.

Absolutely will not return here. The hotel just looked extremely run down.

Pros- staff member friendly, beds comfortable and the sheets were clean.

The person staying in the romed before us smoked and got wasted. The room (particularly the bathroom) had an awful smell of tobacco and vomit. There was vomit on some of the walls next to the bed and carpet. The staff had left both windows open to little avail. Because of the rain, the kids' bed by the window was wet and the room was damp and cold. Last week we stayed 5 nights at different Travelodge and all were fine but the Stoney Cross establishment was extremely dissapointing.

The hotel is in a good location, some rooms need attention, I would not stay on a ground floor in the summer. Staff are lovely. Take a spoon, they provide a kettle, mugs, limitless tea, coffee and milk but no spoons?
