Nick and Alison were great hosts - informative, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The room was lovely, comfortable bed, quiet with a delightful hospitality tray. The en-suite was very clean, good shower and very good toiletries. We had a great trip and would highly recommend Lyndhurst house for location and as you could see how thoughtful the hosts were with attention to those details that move a b&b from good to excellent

Staying at Lyndhurst House was a joy! The room and the bathroom were tastefully and comfortably decorated.
The shower had good pressure and the fancy shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser where an unexpected treat - I loved that these were refillable containers, so were more sustainable than miniatures. They did wonders for my hair!
The B&B served a range of breakfast options you could order the night before, and it’s also only five minutes from the centre of Lyndhurst.
If you book direct you save some money. It benefits the hotel, but the difference also covered a meal out - win win!
Heartily recommended - we will return.

Another lovely stay at Lyndhurst. As always, Nick and Alison are great hosts with everything taken care of.
We stayed in Pig Sty on this occasion but all the rooms are lovely.
Comfortable beds, stylish room, great shower with luxury complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels, hairdryer, tv, usb and 3 pin power point and bedside lamp by bed.
Tea, coffee, fruit teas, hot chocolate and biscuits and water all available in room. Guests can use downstairs fridge in breakfast room if they need to store any chilled items during the stay.
A good selection of breakfast items, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and with delicious cooked brekkies (variety to chose from) all made to order and I understand produce is sourced locally where able.
Parking at b&b is great for location to nearby Lyndhurst and the town, amenities and eateries etc are all within walking distance.
Tesco local and Co op to grab some bits for a day out. The Forage is a good place to eat as is the fish & chip shop where “eat in” is just as enjoyable. Passage to India also recommended. Always advisable to book during the peak times.
Lymington nice for shopping, adventure golf, a harbour walk or a coffee or a walk/drive across to the Isle of Wight. Beaulieu or Sammy Miller for the cars and bikes. Exbury for the gardens and steam train or further afield for cathedrals or shopping. Milford or Mudeford for the beach maybe.
Lyndhurst B&B is in a great location for us and we’ve visited a few times now and have never been disappointed. The surrounding forest with so many places to hang out is a nice place to relax.
Hosts are lovely and friendly and the location makes it a great base for whatever you choose to do when visiting the New Forest.

We had a superb stay at Lyndhurst House. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The location in Lyndhurst is great for access to places of interest nearby and there are several good pubs and restaurants in the town. The only drawback is the slow moving traffic through the town at times. Given the lack of parking in the town it was great that Lyndhurst House provided a spot for guests.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Quite quirky arrangement as the room we had was in the eaves of the house, so some restriction on headroom from the slope of the roof. Though we managed to navigate this OK, it may be a problem for someone with less mobility or a lot taller! Access to the room was by stairs only, so may be difficult for less able people.
The bathroom had a lovely big bath with shower attachment. There was minimal clothes storage in the room so we lived out of the suitcase, given the ample space in the bathroom perhaps a chest of drawers could be made available? Otherwise facilities were top notch.
The bed was large and super comfortable. We slept very well.
Breakfast was superb with a great selection of cold options, and contrary to the listing we saw on booking, there were great cooked breakfast options as well.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

An outstanding B and B with charming and helpful owners. We stayed in Cow Shed at the back of the house. It was spotlessly clean( probably the cleanest B and B we’ve ever stayed in!) very comfortable superking sized bed, excellent shower room, large fluffy towels and good selection of coffee/ tea etc in the room, and curtains which keep the room lovely and dark. No residual noise from adjacent rooms. Although the B and B is on one of the main roads into Lyndhurst it is very quiet with easy parking on site. Great location for walking in to town ( 5 mins) or 3 mins to the owners local pub which serves good food and great selection of local beers. Booking direct was very easy ( and cheaper than booking sites) and we think the B and B is great value for money. Check in was quick and easy and Alison was very welcoming on arrival, and made suggestions for where to eat. Breakfast was fab, so much choice with excellent quality local produce, all served by Nick who didn’t bat an eyelid at hubby asking for a 4th cup of coffee and extra toast! This B and B is a great find, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly. We will certainly return!

We stayed for two nights to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted with a very warm welcome, making us feel very comfortable.
The room was cosy, spotless, and filled with all essentials including a variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. The spacious bed provided a great night’s sleep. A large bath in the bathroom, with all amenities, added a whole other level of relaxation.
Breakfast in the morning was made to order and delicious. The variety on offer was great, including vegetarian options.
The location is ideal, only a 3 minute walk into the centre of Lyndhurst. With a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops within a stone’s throw, everything is catered for. Being within the centre of the New Forest also, terrific towns and attractions are only 20 minutes away.
Our hosts were friendly and they really went out of their way to cater to our needs during our stay. I would highly recommend this B&B if you’re looking for a relaxing stay.

The room was very clean, and at night it was quiet even with the window open. The bed was very comfortable. There was tea/coffee/hot chocolate and even biscuits in the room. Breakfast was made to order and very good! We could also use the breakfast room in the evening to have a glass of wine (there is a small fridge there to chill your wine) and play a board game. Lyndhurst has a good selection of restaurants/pubs and Lyndhurst House is a perfect location for outings to the New Forest (magical hikes) and Portsmouth (historical shipyard is great!).

We recently stayed at Lyndhurst house whilst visiting the new forest, we believe it’s got to be one of the best we’ve stayed at. Very clean smart and most importantly extremely comfortable. The owners were very accommodating as I have a mobility scooter which we felt would need to be charged nick sorted this with no problems at all. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed

This was a return trip to Lyndhurst House. We enjoyed a spacious bedroom (back of the house, called the Cow Shed) with a lovely comfortable bed and it is beautifully clean everywhere. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room with water and biscuits. The beds are made up each day. We had breakfast during our stay and it was excellent; no greasy fry up here! Cereal and yoghurt on offer, tea and coffee, juice and a full English or other options if preferred. The town is a short walk away with a wide choice of eateries and there is a pleasant old pub, ‘The Waterloo Arms’, also a short stroll away. The hosts Alison and Nick clearly make a lot of effort to ensure their guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay and are welcoming and friendly. We plan to return again very soon as now we have found this place we don’t feel the need to look elsewhere to enjoy our stay in Lyndhurst.
