Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've been to Grrenacres a few times and although it is a basic site we've always had a good time and the kids have enjoyed it .
This time round the new receptionist Karein was gorgeously friendly and smiley and made us feel so welcome . She obviously is q great people person and is very good at her job.
It's a site we will continue to go to as they are very easy going and cheap.

We recently stayed on this site as we needed to be in easy reach of Southampton and we had read the previous good reviews but I am afraid we didn't agree with them. There were no hardstandings and no television booster points. There was plenty of space for children and dogs but the noise from the M27 did keep us awake. Our main concern was the toilet block which was far too small for the number of pitches. There were no paper towels left by the end of the day and the hand drier didn't work. It has to be said that some of the problems were caused by other campers, i.e. wet paper towels in the basins and on the floor, empty shampoo sachets left in the showers, toothpaste and hairs in the basins - not the fault of the owners. On the last day, on entering the toilet block, I was met by someone coming out with a dog on a lead - defiinitely not acceptable. We would not stay again.

Got a very friendly reception and directions to a local pub; told we could stay in either one of two fields.
Field we eventually chose had no caravans to spoil the view (we only have a tent) but plenty of Motorway noise from the M27.
Also children from a big party at the other end of the field (we WERE warned) were encouraged to shout and play football at 6 A.M. by a very inconsiderate father.
Toilet/shower facilities adequate - not a disaster but not brilliant either...
One night's stay cost us £18 for our pitch.

Beautiful well located campsite with easy access to the whole of the new forest and surrounding area, we booked and read the reviews some good some not. The location is close to the m27 but road noise is noticeable but not excessive, the toilets were as clean as the last person left them with paper towels toilet paper and hot water all available, the showers have pull down seats for less able people which is great for putting your bags on whilst showering, when it rains and it did the ground drains well and doesn't stay sodden which is always a relief, the person that saw us to out pitch was kind and polite and welcoming, we were lucky as with all campsites that the crowd on site were also kind happy and considerate too. We will come back it's good value for money, chemical disposal, pot and pan wash area, showers, toilets, and looked after fields just what camping should be. Thanks for a great stay.

The campsite was lovely and clean toilet and showers clean, john and dawn owners/managers are lovely and very helpful. Lovely campsite where family can get back to quality time kids can play in the middle open space and parents can relax outside there tents/caravans. The location is perfect for visiting pepper pig world you can literally walk and other attractions are a short drive away. We will definitely return and have reccomender paultons to our family and friends

Little gem 👌 we were greeted by a very friendly & welcoming guy who gave us a choice of EHU pitches. Lots of space to pitch, and all others around the site were very friendly and chatty but otherwise a very peaceful site. Toilets & showers all good, hot water etc and washing up facilities great with the site leaving washing up liquid, sponges, and drainers to use!

We had beautiful weather with the sun & northern lights!! We would definitely return 👍

Ps. Look out for the two site cats! 😻

Went with my husband and 4 year old for 3 nights. I would not advise this place for families even though it’s greatly situated next to Polutons Park and New Forest. The electric hook up was dodgy and kept falling apart, the shower and toilet facilities are dated and filthy (slime coating the floor and walls of the women’s showers and visible dirt on the sinks) with no loo roll and the water freezing in the portashowers. We were greeted by the site manager who did not give the warmest welcome and stated he monitored the gate, however throughout our stay one particularly large family had guests coming and going in cars and vans as they pleased throughout the day and night. We had to keep our 4 year old close by and he could not play in the large open space as advertised as filled vehicles came and went. This family were very loud and intimidating and played loud music or screamed at each other each night. They had no regard for other campers on the site and it upset our son when their children kept trying to bully him off his bike. Despite trying to contact the site manager during the nights, he did not respond at all, even when going down and ringing his door bell. During the day he would basically just tell us to get on with it as they paid, despite us telling him they’d broken pretty much every rule he’s stated on his website. To which he didn’t seem bothered. Several families left prematurely due to this. Yes it’s a bit cheaper and yes it’s close to Pepper Pig World but I would seriously reconsider coming to this campsite particularly with a young family.

We made the trip for my 60th Birthday, but it soon went wrong due to Storm Babet. We had booked 3 nights with a view to staying longer.

After 4 hours after we set up I got a message from the Floodline service to say we were in danger of flooding and it suggested removing valuable and as much as possible up stairs. Our daughter and boyfriend went over to start moving in prep. We had no option but to literally pack up and set off back to Lincoln.

I phoned the following day after we had sandbagged and move things to explain why we had to leave in such a hurry.

I suggested we pay the first night out of courtesy and be refunded the other 2, but I was up against resistance and I also emailed and they haven’t had the decency to reply.

I wont recommend this company, I gave them chance to reply as I told them in my email but nothing…

I was slightly dubious about booking this campsite because of the recent poor reviews however, it had last minute availability, and was close to Peppa Pig World so we took our chances. The campsite itself was satisfactory; the facilities seemed fairly clean, it was flat, we managed to get a shaded pitch, it wasn’t too busy, and it was within 5 minutes of Peppa Pig World. It met our needs and we were quite happy until we were shouted at by the man that appeared to be running the site. We lit a bbq not realising that it would be a problem because we had never stayed in The New Forest before, the literature at booking hadn’t said it was prohibited (unlike other campsite tend to state if it’s not allowed), we were using a proper camping bbq (not disposable) and there was no signage at the park advising otherwise. So we were quite shocked when we were shouted at like small children in front of our 4 year old son, we explained to the man that we had not realised that we were not allowed and that we would put it out however, he continued to keep on ranting at us stating that we have no fire safety, clearly do not watch the news and kept telling us to look around because nobody else had a bbq! Despite us complying by putting it out he carried on to cause a scene which was distressing our son so we asked him to leave, however he stayed there and just kept ranting on at us! We are not irresponsible, my husband and I are in our mid 30’s and whilst we understand that bbq’s can be dangerous if they are not supervised properly we did not expect as customers to be treated this way. A polite ‘we don’t allow that here, please put it out would’ve been okay’, but this man seemed to want to argue with us in front of our son. It’s a shame because we probably would’ve returned to this campsite however, this has tainted our experience!

We needed an overnight stop to and from Cornwall so this was great being just off the motorway. Very disappointed for the price with toilets and showers. Very old cobwebs and paint missing. Mirrors all worn and grouting dirty. Lifted a toilet seat and it had not been cleaned for a long time. Shower was hot but only one peg,no shelf and no screen stopping the water going everywhere. Had to dangle clothes over the doorframe I can't imagine how dirty that was and leave shoes outside. If this was £15 a night then it would suffice, but we paid £26. The place in Cornwall was £23 but immaculate throughout. Noise wise,we live on a main road, so did not bother u
