Hoburne Bashley is a delightful holiday park nestled in the heart of the beautiful New Forest National Park in southern England. This family-friendly destination offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, modern amenities, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for a relaxing getaway or an action-packed adventure. Imagine waking each morning to the sounds of nature, knowing everything you could possibly need is right on your doorstep. With its acres of wide open space, it’s the perfect holiday park for family holidays in the New Forest. Fancy a game of crazy golf... or taking things more seriously on our nine hole, par three golf course? Or how about taking to the Park’s tennis court or football field? For the kids there’s the Sammy Seahorse Club – and (for the kid in you), take a dip in the heated indoor pool or enjoy the outdoor pool during the warmer months. You could of course just go exploring: the enigmatic expanse of the New Forest one way, the sparkling ocean the other. And if all that tires you out, relax in the Park’s spa, sauna or steam room, and imagine... well, anything.

Hoburne Bashley garners compliments for its prime location, nestled conveniently close to local attractions, forests, and beaches, which guests find enhances their stay. The hotel's cleanliness is a highlight, with spotless rooms and facilities frequently mentioned by guests. While the amenities, including clean pools and pet-friendly options, generally satisfy visitors, there are suggestions for improvement. Though the rooms are spacious and mostly well-received, a few travelers report maintenance concerns.
The staff's friendliness stands out, despite occasional service hiccups. However, some guests question the value, pointing to high prices and better last-minute deals. Overall, the atmosphere earns recognition for its modern comfort and friendly ambiance.

Detailed Reviews
We went with daughter and grandson for a 4 day break and we knew there would be restrictions and rules because of CV-19. Later arrivals for thorough cleaning. So imagine my concern when we found a child’s plastic drinking cup by the front window (under the curtain). We disposed of it, before our 2yr old GS got hold of it.
The caravan was decently appointed, but I felt nervous about just how deeply cleaned it had been.
We chose this place because my husband needed access to his work via the internet. Although the WiFi signal was fairly good, the Internet bandwidth was appalling. We had to go off site and search for places where there was adequate connection.
Of course I understood pre booking for all activities would be in place, but some it didn’t work too well. We downloaded the app to order food, only to find we still had to join a queue to be appointed a table, before you could complete the order. So the app was a waste of time.
Booking a slot in either pool was a bit complex. The staff were friendly, but you had to walk round to the back of the pool area and stand in the same queue as the people checking in for their slots, in order to book a slot. The result was that the table often had people waiting around, surrounding the staff while they were checking on their two way radios. The toddler pool was always nearly empty, but was included in the booking for the outdoor pool. Is there any way they could be separated?
I get that everyone is struggling to comply with these strange regulations, so these are comments I hope will help.
The staff were all friendly and helpful and there was plenty for us to do. Hence the 4 stars.

Hi Alison C I very much appreciate your feedback, please be assured the processes we have in place to book in for swimming and activities are to keep our guests as safe as possible. The HoburneApp is designed to make the procedure of ordering and paying for food and drink contactless. I am sorry you were disappointed with the Free WiFi, this is available for our holiday guests to keep up to date with social media and emails etc. but was not designed for downloading, streaming or work. I am sorry you found a child’s drinking cup in your accommodation this would have actually been sanitised when the accommodation was “Fogged”

Just returned from a two week stay in a deluxe caravan at Bashley. This was our second visit and I am sure we will return again. Lovely site with all amenities required. Felt very safe regarding Covid 19 precautions, hand sanitisers provided in the public areas and booking systems for swimming and other activities. Food mainly good in the restaurant/ cafe - with the exception of the burgers which were very dry.
Overall an excellent stay on a well positioned, well maintained site.

We stayed here on the weekend of the 14-02-2020 when we got to the site Friday night, it ws raining there was no path to the caravan the ground was like a bog, which made it akward walking back & forth from car to caravan carrying in suitecases & supplys, but we managed it, the caravan was very clean & the owner had left tea, coffee & milk which was very kind of her.
The caravan site was a good base to get to Pool , Bounmouth & Brockenhurst.
We did not use the swiming pool on site as we were out most of the weekend, I would stay here again maybe in the summer. We stayed in no 91 Sycamore, which my Daughter has rented.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay with our two children (7&5) and we have such a lovely time. The caravan was immaculate on arrival, so spacious and the grounds we stunning and well maintained. Summer time/drier weather would be amazing to enjoy the walks and outside pool. Inside pool was lovely, warm and clean.
Staff couldnt have been more helpful and friendly they really are a credit to Horburn. Sophie (i believe that was her name) has the most incredible voice and needs to believe in herself more and not put her self down while on stage, she is great.
On arrival check in took about 2 mins and thats no joke...but remember it was the 18th december duing a pandemic so very quiet
the caravan had towels, tea towel, tea, coffee and washing up liquid and sponge waiting for you which was a lovely touch even though i had brought that all. its the first site ive stayed at which provides this for you so it was a really nice surprise.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Bashley. We arrived half hour before check-in but the caravan was ready for us. We had a 3 bedroom select plus caravan. Clean and lovely inside. Nice little touches of tea, coffee, sugar, black bags, cloths, washing up liquid and children’s plates, bowls and cups. Twin rooms were set up differently to what we’ve had before with with bedroom having beds toe to toe and the other toe to toe in an ‘L’ shape. Actually gave a bit more room in the room itself. We had one meal on site. It was ok but nothing great. Swimming pool was good-warm! We went to the children’s entertainment but had to queue from about 5:30 to guarantee a seat. We visited Peppa Pig World and Beaulieu motor museum which were both 30 mins away and Marwrll Zoo which was about 50 mins away. Good base for many things. Would recommend the site and would happily visit again.

Just returned from a short break at Bashley & have to say I was quite impressed! Firstly & rather importantly in current climate the caravan was spotlessly clean! It was also very comfortable & the site seemed rather peaceful given all the families, so think caravans must be well spaced (we were in Select). The site is very well kept & most amenities seem quite new (I was particularly impressed with swimming changing rooms, these looked very clean & new here). Park areas were lovely for kids & we enjoyed a couple of meals that were good enough pub food & priced reasonably. Every member of staff we met was very polite & helpful. We didn't use everything as it was more of a base for us to explore the New Forest (for which it's perfectly located) but even with current restrictions didn't have too much trouble booking what we wanted . I'd definitely recommend & would return.

We have holidayed at Bashley many times over the last 20 years. Normally we have a super time, hence coming back so often. This time we came with daughter and 4 grandchildren. We were told that indoor pool would be open - it wasn’t. There was virtually no entertainment and very little for the grandchildren. In fact in 5 days they saw Sammy just once ! I say 5 days, we paid £1200 for two caravans for 4 nights, 5 days but with check in moved back to 5pm on Monday and checkout brought forward to 9am on Friday it was really 3 days. Normally with a later checkout we would take the kids swimming on checkout day but with nowhere to change (changing rooms and indoor pool closed) that was impossible. Otherwise - food was good from cafe, table service with app worked well, staff were friendly. Management need to have a think about how to compensate clients for loyalty, maybe a voucher for good discount to come back, or a food/drink voucher per adult or child. We work in healthcare and really needed a holiday. We paid top price for half a holiday and for a cut price entertainment package which is normally very good. Very disappointed and the small people gutted they didn’t get to see Sammy, Larry and the Gang properly during our stay. Had a lovely time in the New Forest but not in Bashley, this time.

Just got back from a lovely stay at Bashley.
Very friendly staff at reception. Our caravan was spotless and in a very fussy person but couldn't fault a thing it felt quite new. Heating in every room and everything you need even a hoover. The only very very small criticism is that there were no hooks on the door especially in the bathroom to hang your towels or dressing gown.
Very dog friendly you can take the dog in the reception and cafe area and also an area overlooking the pool.
Food in the restaurant was very nice and also the plough inn down the road but you need to book this time of year but there's a lot of tables outside.
Lovely area outside the camp with some lovely restaurants about.
All in all a lovely stay and would definitely recommend and go back one day.

Fabulous place to stay even out of season.
We booked a lodge with a hot tub, it's such fabulous. The lodge is extremely clean, fresh and modern.
The facilities on site included a gym which is just the right size with the right equipment needed for a decent workout, swimming pool which caters for all ages with water activities, sauna and steam, soft play and an arcade.
The bar area serves food where we ate the 1st night, the food was decent and the price was fair.
The entertainment was excellent, we didn't know but we actually booked on a Skaa weekend and the acts were magnificent.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Just overall a fabulous place to stay, we sure will be back with our little one in the summer to enjoy all the activities.
There is a beautiful beach about a 10 minute drive away, easy parking and a beautiful clean beach. There are tons of activities around the area in just a small drive away.
Thanks for an excellent stay

We have just returned from Hoburne Bashley after a 1 week stay. This was our first family holiday in a caravan so we weren't sure what to expect. The caravan was lovely, really modern and well equipped. Think we may have been upgraded as we even had a veranda with outdoor table and chairs which we didn't expect. The park seemed very quiet despite apparently being full. The site is very covid compliant. You have to book for everything to ensure that there are not too many people, and your details are taken everywhere for track and trace purposes. We never had any issues booking swimming or entertainment at all, which was great! The entertainment team did a great job, in difficult circumstances. Special mention to Sophie and Ian who made our little boy feel really welcome. The food on site was really tasty, and ordering food and drink through the app worked really well. My only constructive feedback would be that knowing where, and when to book activities was a little confusing at times. You have to book the indoor pool and outdoor pool at different desks, and the entertainment at another. Some activities need to be booked by email and some at reception. Some can be booked on the day only, and have to be in person and others can be booked over the phone!! We did get used to the system in the end , but I'm sure it could be simplified. Also, a lot of the bar and restaurant staff seemed quite new to the site, and seemed a little unsure when they were asked questions.
Overall, we had a great holiday and would definitely return. The site is beautiful, and is also in a lovely area. We loved heading down to Barton on Sea and Milford on Sea to enjoy the views over to the Isle of Wight.

The answer is suppose to be yes, they give the adults a pass on arrival. In reality not once did anyone ask to see ours, but we were out of season, so it might be different in season. You can ask reception on the day about purchasing a pass for that day if you want someone else to come in. We asked about this possibility and they said they have to see on the day, but it is possible to do.
