Very impressed with our stay at this hotel. COVID guidelines strictly adhered to and felt very secure. In terms of location, this hotel is perfect for anyone with a car planning on visiting Portsmouth/Chichester etc due to its central location (be mindful it is on the Eastbound dual carriageway however). We were very warmly welcomed by Sam who gave us a full run down of the COVID measures and also recommended some good local eateries and parking for tourist areas - very much appreciated! There is ample free parking, a Starbucks on site, Costa Express and other essentials at the neighbouring petrol station. Rooms a decent size, clean and functional for the budget price. Would definitely recommend over the pricier city centre options. Sam is a credit to the hotel also.

The hotel is located to the side of the A27 with only a Shell garage and a Starbucks accessible on foot so only really suitable for an overnight stop. However, it was extremely clean and well maintained. Once the windows were closed there was no road noise and, although the hotel was full there was no noise inside the hotel. The price was very high £240 for one night, this was because the Goodwood Festival of Speed was on.

Was very happy with my stay at the hotel, considering the location. On our arrival we were greeted with a friendly, professional receptionist the main reception smelt lovely and clean.
Our rooms again was clean, tidy and smelt fresh ive stayed at Travelodge hotels before but never been so impressed with how neat and tight the bed was made the bedding also smelt clean and fresh.
There is a onsite Starbucks and garage however we didn’t need to waste our money as coffee facilities were available in our room!!
Fantastic hotel amazing staff who always treated us more than just a guest, even giving the younger children some attention ours enjoyed fist bumping the staff through the protective screen
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To the team at Chichester Emsworth

The staff make an effort with the customers and are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable - it was very hot so windows open and the fan on made it a bearable temperature, the road noise was muffled by the trees. Access into the pertol station is a bit sharp and rejoining the A27 needs your foot to the floor. We were heading for a day trip to Portsmouth & Isle of Wight which made it an inconvenient long route (other customers have commented). Costa Coffee attached to hotel for breakfast if needed.

The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, bed comfortable. The experience of functional and comfortable rather than paying over the odds for luxury. Additional tea and milk freely available at reception. Television / kettle / shower / all lights etc etc all working ams in perfect order, clean linen and the room was nice and quiet, even though we had to leave the windows open as the room was a little warm for our personal taste although the heater was not on.
Happily recommend this Travelodge to anyone needing good quality, comfortable and affordable accommodation.

i booked to stay on the Thursday night prior to catching a ferry to the Isle of Wight on Friday afternoon, after a long drive from Lancashire.
I was greeted and advised in a pleasant mannerby a young lady on reception at around 10pm,and then checked in to my room on the first floor.
I had previously stayed a few years ago at the Travelodge in Chichester.
I found this hotel to be smaller,in a quiet area, and close to Portsmouth for my ongoing journey, the room was nicely decorated and had all the ameneties required, and i was quite impressed. The bed i found to be really comfortable and i had a great nights sleep, and as a bonus i didn't need to check out till 12 o'clock.on the Friday morning, time to charge my mobile phone up.
All the necessary precautions were being made due to Covid 19 and adhered to,i will definitely stay again, when i am working in the area, and the price was also very reasonable to say it was Bank Holiday Weekend....

Stayed at this Travelodge for a couple of nights with some friends, the rooms were spotless and smelt so fresh.
Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly reception staff. Sam the manager made sure we had local knowledge of pubs/restaurants and told us about the cut through to Emsworth instead of going all the way on the A27 which was ideal.
Such a perfect stay and will definitely stay there again.

The hotel room was nice and clean if a little old and tired especially in the bathroom. There was no hairdryer in the room which I only discovered after I had washed my hair so all a bit basic which would have been fine had the hotel been half the price but to be paying over £100 for one night was not really value for money. Also the room was hot and although a fan was supplied it did not cool the room so we had to open the window which meant we had the full noise impact of the busy A27 which was just on the other side of the hedge so it was a noisy night.

The staff and mgmt here, always make a special effort running this particular Travelodge. They are always friendly, helpful and seem to genuinely care about their hotel and guests. Not easy to do sometimes in such a big organisation. Summa was very helpful and accommodating on arrival and went to extra effort to try and give me the room I requested.

Pricepoint meant we stayed here with our golden retriever when visiting Chichester Festival Theatre for two performances over the weekend (just 10 minutes away by car). Check-in was quick and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. Always asking if they could do anything. Room was exceptionally clean and sanitised. Room was very large and the dog had plenty of room. No noise from the dual carriageway except when windows were opened. Will be back for sure.

Hi, you'd have to drive a bit to get to Chichester, then you have many options... As the hotel is on the A27 there is not much you can do... it's about 8 miles to Chichester...
Answer from Steve B
Wanborough, United Kingdom
No there is no path, you will have to go by road. As the Travelodge is on a dual carriageway you will have to take the A27 to the first roundabout at Chichester, not a bad drive and then either come back on the A27 or, I would suggest taking the road to Fishbourne (A259) and have a lovely drive through the villages back to Emsworth. Well worth going that way, Emsworth is lovely.

If you are coming away from Chichester the lodge is on the opposite side but within a mile of a turn off if coming to wards Chichester don’t miss it as it is a 16 mile round trip and could be nearly an hour at peak time

Hello. They have baths with showers over. And incidentially this is a lovely Travelodge - we stay there regularly. Great staff, nothing is too much problem for them. I hope you enjoy your stay.
