Stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a cruise parking deal, which included parking dinner bed and breakfast and taxi to and from the port. On arrival the receptionist Lisa was very friendly and informative. We had booked a standard room, but we were given a garden room as a upgrade, which was a lovely room and very clean. Dinner was disappointing the fish was soggy, and full of oil. The pork dish was awful,we did complain and they took off the price of the two drinks we purchased. Breakfast was excellent and delicious with a good choice of hot and cold food, and service was very good. We would definitely stay here again but maybe next time give the dinner a miss.

Stayed two nights in the executive room.

Bed was huge and so comfy!

Tea and coffee and biscuits provided and refilled the following morning.

Discovered Aircon didn't work but it wasn't massively hot so just had the window open. We were overlooking the back garden/marque and there were events on both evenings which we could hear from our room but all finished by about 10 ish so didn't bother us.

Shower was good and whilst I would prefer a shower head that is not fixed to the wall I was able to shower with no issues.

Breakfast was amazing although there was a large dog in there both mornings (believe he was something to do with the hotel as the dog and the owner went through an internal door). For me I wasn't keen of this large dog walking between the tables but others adored him so I only mention it so this review is fair and accurate.

Staff all friendly, check in and check out was easy.

Would stay again if I ever needed to be in Eastleigh.

We stayed here as part of a package to see an event at the Concorde bed. Yes it might be ready for a refurb but the staff are really friendly and helpful, the bathroom we had was new and 5 star. Although the rooms are older in style they are fully equipped with tea/coffee biscuits etc and the beds and bedding incredibly comfortably. Best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel for a long time. Walls are slightly thin so you can hear next door, however it didn’t really disturb us as we didn’t get back to our room until 11.30pm and there is a notice for quiet between 12-7am and everyone seemed to abide by that. We would definitely come back for another stay if we find another event we fancy as value was phenomenal. Breakfast in the mouldy fig back at the club was really great - I had a full English vegi breakfast and can’t fault it. Staff there were really helpful and friendly too

We stayed here as part of their Christmas party night package. The cost of bed and breakfast along with dinner and entertainment is excellent however, the accommodation really let down what was a great evening in the Concorde Club. We were put on the ground floor in a strange corner which had a shared entrance with next door. As soon as we entered, we were met with a strange musty smell which was horrid and lingered through the whole stay. There were cobwebs in between the wardrobe and wall and the headboard fell off the wall when I tried to move the bed to investigate where the smell was coming from. We were told not to open the door when having a shower so I can only think that the damp environment is not helping.
We thought the whole room was dingy and you needed to have lights on the whole time - our view was out onto the car park, which was fine but made it quite noisy in the morning.
Breakfast was a short walk in the Mouldy Fig and was really delicious. We asked to have a large table as we were staying as a group but instead of happily agreeing with this, we were asked twice whether everybody would be coming to breakfast as they were fully booked and would be very busy! Not very welcoming! Interestingly, the restaurant remained half empty the whole time we were there.
The hotel definitely needs a massive refurbishment as it is in a great location joined to the popular Concorde Club.

10 Dec 2023 Take that marquee.
Dinner & Dance. 100% disappointing.
Cold all evening, Door would not shut properly so got even colder.
Greeted by no table service need to que at bar in marquee to get drinks.
On table glass wine glasses. Paid over £23 bottle poor quality wine. Told to use the plastic glasses given at bar.
Table crackers poor no gift of any kind cheep and nasty.
Food very poor one course very quick after another.
Xmas dinner
Potatoes like bullets, Parsnips could not even cut. Carrots & Sprouts so unapitising white bowl no garnish. Gravy insipid and thin. So little poured over lukewarm warm turkey.
Desert very budget.
So cold.
Toilets i have camped and used better.dusgusting.
As I arrived I used toilets and the hand towel was 2 toilet rolls supplied.
Take that poor on for 1 hour till 10.10pm. Made clear to leave after that as place being packed up.
Elf so embarrassing bouncing around. Even a 5 year old would have cringed.
One of the worst evenings out at £45 a head.
Never never again.

Very misleading booking, thought we had booked on site, turns out we are at another hotel, for which we had to pay taxi fare to get there. Meals and events at one venue, bed at another, involved 3 taxis fares. Spoke to manager who was not interested, didn't like the way I spoke to him... so be warned, make sure your booking is not hotel village, it will cost you. Having said that I actually think we are better off, as hearing people here have no hot water!! Having had a lovely meal ( credit where credit is due), we could not get a seat close to stage as tickets sold to those who had not booked meal. Feeling ver short changed!!

We have been offered a free stay due to our experience but it is not worth that.

The room smelled musty.

The pub restaurant also smelled and was offering tomato soup as a special on the Saturday night we were there.

We paid £335 but were promptly told that we must be out of the restaurant by 7 pm due to a function, giving us 30 mins to eat food that had not been ordered. The Assistant Manager told us we would be escorted out at 7, or we could leave now. We left the hotel.

We booked a room here before a very early flight, part of the benefit being free parking.

The room was perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable although we did find the three-quarter size bed a bit small.

Part of the same operation is The Concorde Club, which we discovered is an amazing and legendary music venue. In fact they were gearing up for a big weekend of music the day we were there. The restaurant and bar is called The Moldy Fig. I had a lovely rib-eye steak and couldn't fault it.

Inside the restaurant and bar are pictures of many very famous artists who have played there over the years.. from Alan Price to Stephan Grappelli. I noted that each piece of background music being played had been carefully chosen to reflect artists who have played there.. a really nice touch

I also had the privilege of meeting the founder and owner of the whole shebang Mr Cole Mathieson. A charming and modest man. That certainly made my evening!

We've decided that we will always be staying here before any early flights, but will book a garden room. Thanks to all the staff!

Last minute booking & wasn’t disappointed at all. Room clean, comfortable & covid compliant. Booked the breakfast & again wasn’t disappointed, tasty bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, beans & eggs cooked to your choosing.

The price was spot on booked through booking.com would stay here again when visiting the isle of wight sailing from Southampton.

This hotel backs onto a country park, lovely leg stretch morning or afternoon.

Not a good initial impression, as we walked in the hotel receptionist was typing, she didn’t acknowledge us or say she’d be with us in a moment … plus there was a dog in the office behind her that wandered around barking! Same dog was wandering in and out of the rooms the next morning as staff were cleaning rooms, very strange. Eventually she spoke to us, we were given our room, it was a garden room but for the price very average, no separate shower, just over the bath. The meal that night in the restaurant was good, however next morning when we went for breakfast there was no continental buffet as advertised … the waitress said it wasn’t out as there weren’t enough guests! She offered to get us individual items but struggled to find 2 bananas for me and my partner! There was another dog behind the restaurant reception, again boisterous and barking.
Overall not the standard we expected of this rating of hotel and we won’t stay again.
