Altogether we were most happy with our stay here - thanks Mandy.
The room was clean and spacious, I couldn’t fault it. The shower was amazing, hot and powerful, unfortunately it flooded the bathroom and it wasn’t nice to come out of the shower and then have to start mopping up the floor with your hand towel.
I would definitely stay here again, it really felt like the staff from the front desk to the room cleaners cared about their product/business.
The room was quite disgusting, noisy and suffocatiing, it was not what I had booked, the advice on parking is adhoc at best boarding even bordering on creativity, I had to drive around the town twice before finding a parking slot in a dodgy street. The staff were unsympathetic, not caring in the slightest and stated that the hotel was doing me a favour by giving me a twin room regardless of the condition!
This was the first time I'd used the shower gel in a Travelodge room because silly me, I forgot to bring my own. I was impressed, it was very nice and smelled really good.
The USB ports were handy to charge our phones, the beds were clean and comfy and the room smelled fresh and well aired.
Excellent as always.
There is a Wetherspoon pub immediately next to the hotel, which is convenient if pub grub is what you want. We always go to the Hursley Cafe for breakfast as the food is good and the service friendly. It's a short drive away.
There are two disabled bays to the rear of the hotel on a first come basis. Both bays were taken on our most recent visit, one by a van not displaying a blue badge, so that was frustrating. However, the lady on reception came up with a solution which meant that I was able to park close to rear entrance to the hotel without the risk of getting a parking ticket for unauthorised parking.
If you want budget accommodation in a clean comfortable room then this hotel fits the bill. There is a small amount of traffic noise from early morning in rooms at the front of the hotel but that didn't bother us.
We will be staying here again.
As usual the staff were friendly and very helpful. 10/10.
