The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would like to give a special mention to Simon in the restaurant who made sure I was looked after. My husband had to be taken to hospital and after I returned from a hospital visit I found the restaurant was closed. I spoke to Simon, who knew the situation and he made sure that I was given a meal and told me that If I needed anything else to see him and he would try to help me out
One of the most friendliest premier inns ever visited everyone staff and visitors all said morning staff couldn’t do enough for you restaurant was nice honest food well worth a visit stayed here to do the seven sisters hike amazing but tiring
Returned from Dieppe and didn’t want to drive back to Birmingham late at night and premier new haven is ideally situated near to the harbour and very close to the route back toward the motorway on Tuesday morning.
The restaurant staff need training.Clearly very junior and inexperienced. Sent to a table which required cleaning then my sweet was brought before my main course at supper At breakfast the cooked breakfast was dried up on a self service basis. Toaster did not work Twas a joke Basil Fawlty could have done better
Its a usual Premier Inn - which booked and then read the reviews when there while in the restaurant ext door that evening- some revI feel are unjustly unkind, this is not a 5 star hotel its a Premier Inn and I’ve been using them regularly since when they were Travel Inns ! (Premier Inn was another similar and competitive operation that Whitbread bought out and amalgamated the pair to become Premier Inn) Staff great, helpful and friendly. Accommodation good and of their standard Restaurant evening and breakfast staff, food, service and seating great On site parking (arrived 6pm) plentiful and easy access Only thing as a minor point satnav takes you to a roundabout 100 yards away but luckily with a bit of common sense you easily find it
Travelling with my disabled wife in a wheelchair, where we required a twin room and a walk in shower. The combination doesn't exist! WHY NOT? All walk in shower facilities in the hotel only available with a double room. Bonkers. In the restaurant we were given a list of some 7 or 8 items that were not available on the menu. The coffee machine was on the blink!
Room and bathroom dirty, no towels, or tea and coffee. Breakfast awful, had to ask for mugs and waited 10 minutes for dishwasher to finish, no cutlery, no glasses for juice, had to ask for bread and food to be replenished, tables dirty and sticky, toilets dirty, all windows and doors filthy with fingerprints all over them. Lack of staff. We complained and the restaurant was closed following breakfast due to no staff. Not a good experience.
The room was dirty with dust building up everywhere, blood on pillow case, stains and boogies on the walls. Bathroom door held on by parcel tape. Dirty bathroom. When we told reception we was told we would get another room this didn’t happen and they didn’t even clean the room. Unfortunately we were out till later every day and was nothing was done and promise not kept, leaving it to late for us to do anything with child and had no choice but to stay their.
The staff, both night and morning were really friendly and helpful and it was good and welcoming to see happy smiley faces. We both slept well though, to be fair we had had a long day with a drive to Dieppe and then on the ferry. It also took a good hour to get off the boat and through Passport Control so hardly surprising we were tired and slept. As I pointed out to the day staff, the filter on the sink tap was missing which meant that the water out of the tap just gushed everywhere. One thing I didn't mention was the bath side panel which was buckled as if it had melted in the heat. It needs replacing (Room 45) I still think, and I've mentioned this on various occasions that anti-mist mirrors in the bathrooms would be a good investment as the extractor takes a while to clear the mirror meaning that we were using the mirror in the bedroom. It would have been good to have had 2 hand towels as well as 2 bath towels but that's probably down to your eco-friendly policy. However. Perhaps you could have a word with The Drove next door as the breakfast there was not good. Firstly it's a buffet but when we got there at just gone 08.00 there were just 3 slices of bacon, a teaspoon of mushrooms, lots of sausages and a fair amount of tomatoes. Fine, we spoke to the lass in charge and she did go off to get replenishments reluctantly but my poached egg for instance was forgotten and when it was served to me was rock hard. It's a shame the breakfast isn't cooked to order but that's probably a policy of Brewer's Fayre. It is however a letdown but needs must as now that Sainsbury's have closed their cafe there isn't an alternative. Think I'll just forego breakfast in future which isn't ideal.…
Ideal hotel for the ferry crossing at Newhaven. Very comfortable & everything you need for an overnight stay. Dinner & breakfast available. The room is a good size, the usual lovely Premier Inn bed & everything spotless.
